- After 17 years of cruising with Royal Caribbean, I reached the highest tier of the cruise line's customer loyalty program: Pinnacle Club.

I reached pinnacle 9 years ago, never went to a top tier event nor asked them to send me a pin, and told the loyalty ambassadors many times to award the next guy below me to recieve recognition. The countless crystal blocks I get I have guven away to first time cruisers I meet.
In summary: If you have the time and the money anybody can reach pinnacle. I do not think its an honor nor a congratulatory event. I Just blend in and praise that i am healthy and lucky enough to enjoy a life on many cruise. ships. Best wishes and enjoy your life.
They should all be like you. Instead people brag and act like they are better then other people
That's great. A seasoned cruiser many years ago gave her crystal block to my mother. The woman said she just had so many of them already. And, my mom just earned her own 2nd crystal block, all these years later. haha.

Be ready for some nasty food unless you’re going to a restaurant that you have to pay for but all the free food is horrible. I went on wonder in may and I don’t know if I’ll go back on Royal Caribbean again solely because of the food quality

You will love Celebrity. We sail on them all the time. I have only 70pts with Royal but because of the Elite status with Celebrity, I get to status match as a Diamond with Royal. Love it.
The double points during the restart period was what helped pushed the points to the next tier. I do think Royal will add a tier in-between Diamond+ and Pinnacle within the next year or so.
He's been on a Celebrity cruise. I forget which one.

Congratulations Matt. My first cruise was 2019 on the oasis of the seas, and your channel was the first I subscribed to learn about cruising. I've done 4 so far , with Royal of course, and I've become ambassador having my friends and family join me when I travel. I recommend every first timer to research before sailing.

I immediately referred him to your site and a few days later he stopped by and thanked me for the recommendation. He rifled through a “boat” load of your videos and was able to find answers to just about all of his questions. He loved the site.

Congrats, Matt on reaching Pinnacle. I just sailed on my first cruise as Diamond Plus on the Presidents Cruise in July and have completed 8 cruises now with Royal Caribbean. The double points promo helped a lot to get to D+ so quickly. I enjoy the free drinks and the other perks that are now part of my cruises and really enjoy cruising with RC and these extras. I just do cruises for the vacation aspect and expect to accrue points with my next "goal" being the 340 pt mark. Maybe some day I'll reach that elusive 700 pt mark but I take cruises just because I like this type of vacation. Royal is really special for having the type of loyalty program that it does so that people in every stage have benefits to make their cruise special.

One perk you failed to mention is at 350 points, the solo supplement charge is only 50% instead of double/100%. This makes a big difference for solo travelers.

Congratulations on this achievement. Hoping to join you at that level someday soon! I'd say we agree that it's the combination of available benefits that makes the C&A status so valuable. But from a dollars and cents perspective I'd say the free drinks each day probably provide the biggest budget boost. I'm not complaining about the other benefits, though! Balcony discounts, internet credits, free and discounted laundry services, BOGO specialty dining, etc. are all much appreciated, too.

Congrats Matt. I also benefited from the double points offer although booked only 2 cruises during covid and currently on Diamond, although still feeling bitter for missing that tier by just 2 points when the first cruise was cut down from 14 to 13-night itinerary.

Congrats Matt! My wife and I are both Diamond. As we tend to like longer duration cruises (7 nights and up), our favorite perk within the RC eco-system are the free drink coupons, the reduced laundry, and the balcony discount. But we also LOVE the reciprocity with Celebrity. Again this is driven by the fact that we like long duration cruises and in those instances the free laundry really comes in handy (think 15 night repositioning cruises). Don't under-estimate the value that the cross RCCL/CCL eco-system reciprocity creates!

Hi Matt, good for you; well deserved. Needless to say and completely understandably, Pinnacle Club is a very high bar beyond the reach of most. However, it seems to me that in view of the fact that you are, without question, RC's most promiment, professional and informative influencer that it would have been reasonable and appropriate for RC to extend some extra credit toward this destination.

Congrats! I have been sailing on Royal for 30 plus years I have 399 points. When I was working I only cruised once or twice a year. I am 73 and hope to reach pinnacle someday.

They need to have hammocks on all balconies of the cruise ships. I was on Virgin’s Scarlet Lady. They have red hammocks on all balconies.
