Mine had translucent white rubber stickers beneath the button, and they weren't shifted out of position. All I did was open it and place back. Button response is more reliable now, though.
@@ajeb7207 The rubber membrane on keyboards actually have a carbon compound to create electrical continuity on the button, but the black dot on the power button of the g3 is just a mechanical supplement to reduce the gap between the two pieces.

i dont like lg for the reason of iv had nothing but problems with their phones. ik im only 16 but iv had 2 lgs 1 the battery stopped compleatly and the other the chips are fucked.

Well I guess the button itself is broken. You can get the replacement on ebay.

how did you turn off your phone bfore you opened the back cover ?
As the little rubber dot was still there, I was able to push the button a little sideways with stronger force to make it contact the actual switch.

I don't know if you can purchase that specific dot, but still you can make it yourself with a similar material.

@@ajeb7207 Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) would be my first choice or just rubber.
by the way one screw is longer than other.

Yaser Ahmad Maybe the contacts on your battery are dirty. Try polishing them a little both in the phone and the battery then clean them.
the odd thing about my phone i still feel a click but its not working
