That 4th and 1 playcall might have changed the outcome of our entire season. We’re only down by 10, our offense is actually starting to get in rhythm, and there’s still an entire quarter left to play. So instead of letting our RB most likely convert the ONE YARD, Canada decides to overthink the entire thing and in the process get our QB murdered. Who knows how long Pickett is out for. The team pretty much gave up after that play.

Hope those changes come. Hope the Steelers come back to be a good team to watch. I mean they haven't won anything since 2008 but with Ben there was always hope, as long as Brady was out of the way. Right now it's just an empty shell. Our best shot comes by playing Jimmy G. Anybody else would make it almost impossible.

Even the commentators were noticing which play the Steelers offense was calling!!! They even called it out saying any defense could predict the play being called just by looking at the line!!! FIRE MATT CANADA!!! I’m even questioning Tomlin’s decision making letting Canada still call the damn plays. Kenny needs to become a cerebral player and study the defenses and call his own plays on the field. Take the chewing out after the win Kenny because now I’m doubting your ability to use free thought

Thing I don't get this is Canada's 3rd season. Tomlin backed him over the off season. So how is tomlin not getting more blame then anyone? And how tomlin not able to contribute to help the offense after 17 seasons as a head coach? He still seems clueless. How does someone not know every coaching positions after 17 years? And the defense is his specialty and they aren't playing all that well. Not well enough for being the highest paid defense in the league. Makes me clueless like tomlin

Horrified at how much better Stroud is than Pickett. CJ isn’t a world beater but he can make up for bad playcall or protection, and he can throw guys open. He imparts a degree of control over the game.
Kenny, meanwhile, looks like he’s just along for the ride. He can play well when everything’s going right, but habitually sinks like a lead balloon if something breaks down. He doesn’t make his teammates better.
Sorry for the negativity and props to 5 Star’s grittiness for churning out a great video in the wake of that dumpster fire.

We abandon things that work, and then repeatedly try things that don't at the worst possible moments. It's just painful. Even when there is offensive momentum, I just know Canada will torpedo it the longer the drive takes. Makes sense that our only long scoring "drives" were one off big plays.

Yes, just like Washington fans started doing several years ago. Vote with your wallets. I last went to a game in 2021 (against the Broncos) but I'm not going to a game again any time soon. We've already seen it during week one, the "Let's Go Niners!" chants at Heinz Field with several minutes to go in the 4th quarter. How embarrassing for the team, the coaching staff, the organization, and the Rooney family. For the fans that already bought tickets, keep the "Fire Canada" chants going loud the whole game. Every single home game from here on out, and we could even do it during away games too. It's the fanbase's job to make our voices and frustrations heard, we have millions of people all around the world, I know we can do it.
That 4th and 1 play yesterday, considering the circumstances, the timeout, the playcall, and Pickett's injury, that was the second worst sequence I've ever seen from the Steelers other than the first quarter of the previously mentioned Browns game. Tomlin says changes will be made but I won't believe it until I see it. They will learn absolutely nothing and continue to make the same mistakes they always do.
Like UrinatingTree once said after the playoff loss against the Browns in 2020, the Steelers will bottom out hard one day. I wish I could say I didn't see it coming for so many years.

    Great video as usual man, loved it. On Canada;
I Watched JT OSullivan’s QB school week 3 Kenny pickett analysis, and hearing him talk about the Steelers offense is eye opening. He hates it, he talks about how archaic and head scratching it is. It’s a good watch if anyone hasn’t seen it.
Listened to Dan Orlovsly clown how predictable this offense is on ESPN. He was watching their highlights and calling out what plays they were gonna run based on the formation and saying how easy it is to detect..
Matt Canada is an abject failure in every conceivable way and NEEDS to lose his job, whether things will improve or not, he NEEDS TO GO. It’s not funny anymore, it’s not cute, it’s not reactionary, he is by far the worst offensive coordinator in the league and I would say the worst in Steelers history.

I hate to say it, but I think this is the real coach Tomlin. He took over the hot rod that Cowher put together, kept driving it and did some good things, but he never did the proper maintenance and didn’t replace the necessary parts needed to keep it going. His career has been on a downward trajectory slowly over the years. I think he’s a decent coach, but not a good coach.

I've had nearly a day to process this game, and I am still angry. I can't stop thinking about it. Canada made his worst play call ever in a long line of horrific play calls, and it got our QB hurt. Tomlin said that we're going to make changes, but do you really believe him? He's all talk, no substance, and has been for years. He has the most losses against .500 or worse teams by a "hall of fame" coach in league history. He's had 6 different November or December collapses in his career. He's lost to Garrard, Tebow, Bortles, and Mayfield in the playoffs. We all know the only reason he has a job: the front office is allergic to change, and if they weren't, rabid sjws would make sure he never leaves on anyone else's terms but his own. A few others they sucked in our system and somehow they're doing amazing things now. Not our players it is our coaching system. Look at Mike Tomlin and how long he's been a coach. Have you ever heard of the Mike Tomlin coaching trees? No because they don't hire anyone they don't keep anyone good and they have very few coaches. It's just a disgrace they need to change the archaic ways they've been doing things it's Antiquated outdated and embarrassing at this point. Sorry I'm just beyond pissed.

The Steelers need to take a good hard look in the mirror and figure out what they want to do the rest of this season. As far as I’m concerned, this season is over competitively speaking. The rest of the season should be used by trying out anyone else at offensive coordinator and probably defensive coordinator, too. They need to play their touted rookies to get them up to scratch as soon as possible for the future. Who cares? They won’t be competitive at least until next season. If/when they get down big in games, they need to forget about trying to win and just focus on playing with some fucking pride. My god it sucks to be a yinzer right now. Side note: I wish I had Matt Canada’s job security

I got legitimately sad watching Warren fighting the never ending tide of defenders around 9:09. Like it's just hopeless desperation and he's legitimately beating his body up trying to break 7 fucking tackles to get 2 yards. It's a perfect encapsulation of our running game these last few years.
We have had too much roster overturned to blame most of this on personnel. Sure Kenny could be a lot better, and probably every player could be playing a good bit better. However, you need to set those players in a position to succeed if you ever actually expect them to succeed. Notice how basically every other offense makes wide open catches (especially against us) like it's no big deal? And they actually change their gameplan to what is working that week? And they adapt their whole scheme to the players they have? I remember when we had that, now we have a college oc trying to lead an nfl offense and we've been bashing our heads against a brick wall for 3 years. I think that brick wall gave them brain damage and that is why they don't make any changes.
Same goes for defense. Like you said, we can't keep asking every linebacker to be Shazier and Williams/Timmons. Shazier was too unique to just plug and play whatever free agent you can get on the cheap, or even 99% of players you can draft. He was a generational super athlete that was incredibly smart and probably on his way to a hall of fame career before injury. I simply don't accept the assertion that every middle linebacker we've had since Vince retired is just garbage. There is a utilization issue, been through too much of the same for it to be anything else.
Same for the terrible secondary. Maybe it's terrible because they're using their players in idiotic ways. Minkah is back to playing slot and run defense concerningly often, which takes our best coverage player and wastes him totally. Then Pat P is an old vet that should be in unique disguise packages and situational football, so let's match him up against their number 1 and play him 80 snaps a game. Like what the fuck do you expect he is 32? Wallace I got nothing for, he is just extremely inconsistent. JPJ looks good. Also isn't it a 4d chess move to sign former all pro cb Desmond King and not fucking use him AT ALL?
Sorry for the ridiculously long rant, I love these players but I am done with this coaching staff. I have zero faith or expectations they can use the talent that they have.

The whole team was awful yesterday. Zero sacks and turnovers against an offense with three backups on the o line playing, shutout in the first half just for our only hope of making a comeback to get taken out of the game because of the worst 4th and 1 play call I’ve seen this team make in my lifetime watching this team. I know the final score didn’t look it, but we were crawling our way back into it before that. If all of Canada’s faults prior to this game weren’t enough to get him fired, him getting Kenny hurt with that ridiculous call on 4th and 1 absolutely HAS to be the dagger to his career as an OC in college and in the NFL.

Don’t let the record fool you, the Steelers have played as bad as anyone this season. Blown out by 49ers and Texans. He is the Eli Manning of coaches; never actually wins anything of significance and typically is the sole reason why the talented team around him is so mediocre, but got carried to a super bowl by his supporting cast 15 years ago, so we have to accept them as hall of famers when they were never actually good to begin with

The 4th&one play call needs to be the nail in the coffin for his job not only do we run a play that makes zero sense for the situation, but again we don't even utilize our pieces, even if we wanted to telegraph what we were about to do why not line up Washington out wide with Pickens and throw the screen to Robinson? How many people are fighting through those two blockers? Not many! or ya know sneak it because Kenny is actually good at that? That being said something like this is the outcome I feared, but I stupidly thought it would be much closer like getting walked off by Chicago in overtime in 2017 or that 2014 home game vs The Bucs, this was inexcusable and it showed this franchise as the incompetent dumpster fire that it is from the top down.

What makes this whole thing shitty is, Tomlin been the head coach of the Steelers 15 years...
They played the 1-2 Texans and got stumped by a new head coach and a rookie quarter back, making the Texans 2-2 and the new coach second win of the season.
It tells me that Tomlin need to step his ass down.
They say..Tomlin has never had a losing season. But what they don't want to tell you that Tomlin success came off of Cowher players.
    Playoff wins
    Division Champions
    AFC Champions
    2 Super Bowls...
That was Tomlin success back in that era.
Today Pittsburgh look like shit. This continuing to lose to teams with losing records in bullshit.
And to be very honest...I don't think that Tomlin knows how to talk to his players. And this is going to come as a shocker..it's the black players.
I give Pittsburgh 6 wins, 8 wins at most.
When they beat the Raiders...I was shock.
I've been a Steelers fan since the 70's.
Today.. I don't have that excitement like when Noll and Cowher teams were beating the shit out teams. And if they lost. it would be a hard fought physical battle.
So the best I think Pittsburgh organization can do is get a new head coach and staff like the Lions did.
