    Just got back from Pompano beach. My first time there. I did love it there, the restaurants were expensive and they add 18% tip automatically. The pier area was nice but needs a lot more for tourists. Needs cafes,more shops,and a few more restaurants. The pier was nice. Our hotel was nice but nothing in walking distance, you definitely need a car to get around. Had a great vacation there beach really is beautiful .

      Hey, thanks for commenting and watching the video. Yeah some of the restaurants definitely add the 18% tip it’s mostly by the beach because of all the tourists in the area. The same thing happens in Fort Lauderdale, and Miami, and most of the major cities were tourism is very popular.
      Next time you visit, venture out a little bit away from the beach, go more inland and try to find some of the local restaurants here I’m sure you’ll love them and they definitely won’t be as expensive
      What did you like most about Pompano Beach?

      I live in Pompano and have seen it grow by 300% in the past 4 years. I happen to think that we have too many restaurants to choose from now!! What most people come to South Florida to see and experience is on and under the water, so if you did not get out on a boat you are missing the best I down here. If shopping is a vacation activity, you go west to Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise, Promenade in Coconut Creek, and along US 1. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't know about or use the free shuttle, the Circuit, that runs along the beach and over the bridge to US 1, or rent a bike if you're physical. Come back and get on the water!

    I lived there for many years. Born in FL. Moved 4 yrs ago to NC. Pompano was nice our street was lovely. Two streets away on way to our street looked ghetto. But too hot to live imho and too crowded.

    I used to live in Pompano. I'm not gonna suggest it. If you're goning to move to SoFla, go to Boca. It's worth it.

      @@LivingInSouthFlorida_ I like to try new food places or cafes in the area. Like there’s a new coffee shop that just opened in Pompano so I’m gonna check it out soon.

    I would not want to live there because it is too close to Miami where crime is high, and too close to the beach where hurricanes can devastate the place easily. I hate to think of the cost of both flood and homeowner's insurance there because it is an oceanic beach. PS: I HATE TRAFFIC. I can't stand Florida's overpopulation. Where there are crowded areas, there is homelessness and CRIME.

    • @LivingInSouthFlorida_
      @LivingInSouthFlorida_  Год назад +1

      Yeah the insurance costs have greatly increased! Like any city that’s populated you are correct that there will be crime unfortunately.

    Great video -- living in South Jersey now and traffic is a growing problem here in this beautiful suburb of Philadelphia. Lots of farm lands being turned into homes and apartments, so infrastructure is a problem. Like Pompano Beach, where people want to move to (us included). Now, our relocation is being delayed a few years, so by the time we are ready to pull the trigger, most of the downtown construction should be almost finished. Hopefully, the rising cost of living doesn't make the area unaffordable by then. Sadly, I think most Florida public education will decline, as teachers leave their profession over the current politics and the only options will be the expensive private schools. But again, we, like many snowbirds retiring to FL don't care about the schools anyway, just the crime. Your statistics are spot on, as we hear the news all the time about murders and shootings in Philadelphia, but it's mostly in the poorer neighborhoods. My only concern will be what happens after July 1st, when the new law about permit-less gun carry goes into effect.

      Hey Thanks for Watching Steven. I will be continuing to update everyone on pompano beach and the surrounding areas via market updates at least once a month so you will be able to see where the prices are headed. As I said in the video, crime stats show a "violent" city, but more often than not the crime stats are mostly related to people involved in criminal activity already. What are some other questions or concerns you have about any surrounding cities that I can give you some answers on?

      If students know their teachers politics, then the teachers failed at their profession. Students will be better off not being taught by political ideologues and propagandists.

      So you say traffic is a growing problem where you live, yet you want to move to Pompano Beach?? hahaha its probably worse down here. News flash, Pompano is building apartments like crazy and they still have the tiny 2 lane roads on Atlantic Blvd. Crime? Dont get me started, theres shootings and police helicopters flying around almost nightly. Try Boca Raton instead or even West Coast.. much more laid back.

      @@michaelmorgan9009 Actually, if I could afford to move there, it WILL be in Boca Raton -- in a gated community. But no plans to move anytime soon as the State is toxic for my family!!!

    The new downtown Pompano Beach is not 10 years away. They literally started construction of it. I would say more like 3-5 years.
