IIT Madras has a unique entrance exam, which is jee advanced and which is one of the toughest exams in india.
IIT Madras is an excellent faculty and professor, brilliant minds students, sponsors, alumni etc., Not everything comes by money, securing number one the institute goes tremendous amount of hard work by entire institute from student to director.

So this NEWS channel never verified the authenticity of Placements from IIT and made a Dumb News
Later after this News IITB clarified that they never officially declared so and so record for the recently graduated students and then when they released only 70% APPLIED for Placement that means they opted to not be placed and most of the IITians either go for IAS or go for Higher studies in foreign institutes,
And these News channels published this as "Only 70%Placed"
