There are no words for Yuzo and Kudo's genius. I only wish someone had fixed the intonation of the climbing string notes at 0:34 during the editing process since they use that loop a lot here. Regardless, it never ceases to amaze me how Kudo takes something already brilliant and organically expounds the sound...

I love this song because it is so fucking epic that you can actually use it like if it was a Boss Battle song and nobody would notice that it actually is a Random Battle song. This efect is even bigger with this arrangement, i love it
this is sooo good. Makes you remember when you first played through the game and you realise how far you've come and how much you've achieved

A shame we won’t be seeing 3 Untold for 3DS - unless Nintendo makes a sequel handheld. Or who knows? They might make the transition to Switch.
@@CRASHjester nah I don't think so. Switch wouldn't work particularly well with the Etrian Odyssey games unless they made a MASSIVE UI overhaul. It worked really well with the DS BECAUSE it had a touch screen.

I haven't had any funds for the past month or so, but if that is the case, I'm buying that one first.
Sure, I'm not done with EO3 yet (just found the game 2 weeks ago and decided to start a whole new playthrough), but the new mechanics it added are great. I especially wanna know how they'll buff the Sea Quests and stuff, because they are basically the most lackluster thing in the entire game.
You know, I've only heard about Etrian Odyssey once before this. I have no idea what it's about. Who knows, the games could be a paragon of perfection, or a lump of shit. One thing's for sure, though. THIS IS A DAMN GOOD SONG.
It's far from a paragon of perfection, but goddamn is it a good dungeon crawler rpg. Hard as balls though, so be warned

Yeah, we can all want something better, definitely. I just don't see it as broken, so I don't see it needing fixed haha (not saying that you wanted it fixed). I think EO4 is what you're looking at, though. They made things into 3D. No voices as far as I know, but it's 3D and orchestrated music. Protagonist/plot-wise, though, I think it's the same. If they made it into some epic storyline, it would cut into the character customization in my opinion, especially if they did full voice.
@sayckeone It'd be awesome to have Adol as a playable character in Etrian! He's the embodyment of adventure, to say the least haha

Off course, that's all right, but hurts me to see such an excellent character design simplified in 1 frame portrait...I know, it takes quite a work just to draw and color ONE of those portraits, but I just can't get enough.
Anyway, animated enemy sprites was a pretty nice improvement in EO IV togheter with an even better dungeon background design, i just love it
The games are great the way they are but I'm still optimistically looking forward to see animations, perhaps even cutscenes someday *A*

I know that, im pretty much of a sadistic gammer, either for Rougelikes, Bullet Hell, Beat-em Up, etc.
But like i said, i cant get enough, i want MOARS, i want it harder, better, faster, stronger
I'm not saying that it's not good the way it is, but i can wish it was EVEN BETTER, can't i?

That defeats the purpose of the whole genre, you know.
Now add some smooth characters battle animations and effects and some epic voicecast and you'll have an even greater game
Some nice game plot and protagonist(s) would be appreciated too...
