Hah, I never thought to look at the insert since most of the doujin stuff doesn't have one. People do ask about the lyrics occasionally, so I'm sure it will be appreciated.

@@TheFabulousTroupe Absolutely they do. It'd been a while since I'd listened to the super arrange albums - it's always a treat coming back to them. The sax solo in Those That Slay and Fall is also fantastic!
heh, there's a few like that in this album especially. The fact that they switched to a regular soundboard makes these feel like kinda just alternatives instead of arrangements.
I actually used this song in two powerful emotional moments in my Etrian Odyssey headcanons: The first is in my first playthrough of EO4, where a Nightseeker named Takane (known amongst certain people as Galeforce) shares her favorite song from her childhood with her boyfriend, a Landsknecht named Siiva, and they dance. The second is in my second playthrough of EO4 (which take place 8 years after the first playthrough and 7 years after the aforementioned Landy, Siiva has died), on the 7th anniversary of Siiva's death, where Takane returns to the inn earlier than the rest of the guild and pops the casette that she and Siiva drew a heart on into the radio in the room in the Saehrimnir Inn that she and Siiva stayed at and just sits there on the bed crying for the entire song, though her new boyfriend, a Runemaster named Flynn leaves both his katanas in the doorway and gives her a shoulder to cry on around 2:45 into the song because Takane left the door unlocked. It's worth mentioning that Siiva was the main protagonist in the first playthrough of EO4 and the main protagonist of the first 3 Labyrinths of my first playthrough of Nexus (he died literally right after the Wyvern fight), Takane is the dueteragonist in the first playthrough and the main protagonist of the second playthrough, as well as one of 3 extra party members tagging along in the EO3 HD playthrough, in addition to the fact that Flynn is the main protagonist of my Eldest Path playthrough of EO3 DS and one of 3 extra party members tagging along in the EO3 HD playthrough. Before you ask how Takane got ahold of a casette, she's from the empire, and I guess they got that kinda shit over there (and judging from her alias "Galeforce", you can probably figure out which Imperial adopted her when she was very young), and you can probably figure out why Flynn dual-wields katanas.
Man, I love fanfic/headcanons for runs. I have a habit of naming my guild members after guildmates I had back in the day playing WoW because it just tickles my nostalgia a certain way remembering those wonderful times. A friend of mine was a big fanfic writer for the series and it was always fun how different people would insert different sub-stories into the fairly barebones game ones.
@@TheFabulousTroupe yeah, I especially like tying my guildmembers in with actual NPCs, for example: Takane being the adopted daughter of Logre, Sayori being Visil's granddaughter, Nozomi being being the daughter of the Eldest One, Bureto being Kujura's younger brother, DK being Wynne's cousin (whoever Wynne's aunt married was a primate Therian (the only Therians seen in EOV are of the canine and lagomorph variety, meaning that primate Therians (what DK is) and feline Therians (what Felix is) may be native to realms outside of Arcania)), and Felix being both a former member of Esbat and Solor's boyfriend (they had a falling out during my second playthrough of EO5, so Felix is now Solor's ex). Ignore the fact that I gave my guild members meme names, I did it as a tribute to SiIvaGunner years ago, then the names just stuck, so now I have this duality of serious characters with unserious names (which creates beautiful out of context sentences like "Grand Dad saved Robbie Rotten from being executed for piracy", "Eminem got killed by baboons", "Sylen (was originally Silento, but I changed the name so it feels like an actual name) got turned into a vampire by the Overlord, so now he bites his girlfriend Sayori's neck in the bedroom", "when Chad goes Fafnir Mode, his theme song just starts playing from literally nowhere and everyone can hear it", and "Sens nuked Damavand for fun").
I figure that they chose not to do an arrangement of this game's 6th stratum because it was a bit of a low-key ambience rather than a more fleshed out piece of "music", if you know what I mean. It set the mood, but it was very quiet.
Well, if you wish to purchase it, CDJapan has it for a total of around 50 dollars with shipping. That or you can wait a bit and I'll have the rips uploaded.
After seeing everyone's comment on this video and listening to the song over and over again, this is what I came up with so far. Still figuring out which words on the third and fifth verse are, and some words and the ones I put inside brackets might be inaccurate: (Hah), Far have I come, Deep have I been, Much more remains. Sometimes it feels, May feel my hate, (That's under) waste, To see the answer... Over the winding roads, What could await for me? Don't let your dream ___ ___, _____ ____ For just a misery, and (me). 632rufus Beats the hell out of me. The song doesn't really make sense, so it makes those unintelligible parts that much harder to understand. I like it, but it's better to listen to not too intently.
Rips of this album? I've had them available for quite a while. As usual, if you want the CD rips of any of the albums that I have uploaded, just send me a personal message with the ones that you want listed.
Yeah, it doesn't make a lot of sense. I understand the first verse and a bit of the chorus, but this is all I've got: Far have I come, deep have I been, much more remains.
TheFabulousTroupe All I understand for sure that you haven't mentioned is about 1:30 to 1:45 "Over the winding roads, what will await for me?" I also Understand "Oh when thy journey ends, what will I find in thee?" at about 2:45.
Yeah? I don't mind the majority of them, and that even counts the doujin ones such as those found on Yggdrasil Leaf and whatnot. However, there were a few on 2's SAV that I just couldn't make myself like.
So, ive been falling in love with a lot of these SAVs and other fan albums, but im a little confused. What exactly is a Super Arrange? Is that the name of the band thats making some of these albums or is that an umbrella term for fan arrangements/remixes of VGM? Idk if you're still checking comments but it's been nagging at me and I can't seem to find an answer anywhere.
I do still check comments when I have time! I haev a baby now so it's not often, but I try to respond to everything. Anyway, the Super Arranges are actually official releases from Atlus. For the first four games, they basically commissioned a bunch of artists to arrange and perform tracks for these extra albums that they sold as a special "extra" for the games. This particular track was arranged by Noriyuki Kamikura, who did work on stuff like Valkyria Chronicles. The naming does come off a little weird, and except for the SAVs, everything on my channel is doujin, or fan work.
There were vocal tracks on 2's Super Arrange? Off the top of your head, do you happen to remember which ones? I can't recall any. I definitely know I've heard a vocal arrange for 2's 4th stratum, but I don't think that was on the SAV.
What are the super arranged versions and why are they not in the game? The sound so much better! And this was supposed to play in the forgotten capital?! Wow!
So, the first three games had their sound tracks done in a PC-88/98 sound style, so they released Super Arrange Versions composed by various notable artists (Noriyuki Kamikura in this case) as a sort of "what if". They weren't intended for the game at any point, but were a cool thing Atlus did and sold up through the 4th game. Of course, 4 had a more modern sound style anyway, so this album was a real treat.
I'm sorry, but this version is so much worse than the original. It sounds like a pop rendition of the original. Not a fan of adding vocals to the music...

I love how the "most replayed part" is the saxophone solo, people have good taste xD
Man, I love this version. It's so chill, and that sax solo is god-tier.
They understand the power of a good sax solo. EO3 has one on "Those That Slay and Fall" too!
@@TheFabulousTroupe Absolutely they do. It'd been a while since I'd listened to the super arrange albums - it's always a treat coming back to them. The sax solo in Those That Slay and Fall is also fantastic!
One of my favorite tracks in this album. Love it so much.
This would really fit as a ending if EO4 got a anime

It is worse than anime why do you belive this was done to begin with? It was 4-real.
There'd better be an entire season's worth of episodes where it's just the guild leader trying to come up with the party they want to use.
For some reason I've liked all the vocal arranges of Etrian Odyssey themes, and this is no exception.
The chorus to this song and The Legend's Successor are the same tune.
My mind.
It is also the intro song.
