Hello! I hope this note finds you in good spirits and healthy. I have a busy day in my sewing room and now I'm sewing a little tea mat for my living room end table while I watch you. I hope you have a wonderful evening! Thanks for posting this video!
I truly love your concise and friendly videos. The M7 is my first Janome( I have always had Berninas ).It IS daunting to explore a new machine but you make it very doable. The way you present the information has a you -can -do -this tone. I am off and sewing!
The M7 is still intimidating, but I enjoy exploring it! Thank you for all the instructions you are showing, very helpfull! I would love to see so so so much more tips and information! 😊🙏
I just got my M7 yesterday. I read my manual and got things going but was feeling pretty intimated by it, so decided to see what information / youtube videos I could find on the M7. Yours was the first one that got my attention. 😀 I spent a few hours last night and this morning watching all your videos on the M7 and am so happy I did! Thank you so much for producing these videos - they answered so many questions. Your teaching technique is excellent and you are very thorough! I highly recommend people who own or are thinking of buying a M7 to watch your videos! I'm a subscriber now and will look into all of your videos Kim. Again, thank you.
I am trying to figure out how to get to the free motion quilting screen. I paged through (were it says 1/37) and see everything but free motion. Please help.
First, you need to make sure that you have the straight stitch needle plate in - not the HP needle plate. You should then be able to press the t-shirt icon (Sewing Application) and then see the heart with the feathers and press it and then you should see the free motion quilting choices.
The foot pedal shows putting the cutter pedal to the right orientation or to the left. I am right handed ... which one should I use? I have never used one before.
I think it's really a personal choice. I use my left foot to work my foot pedal, although I am also right-handed (I started doing this when I used my right knee for the knee lifter on another machine) so I have the thread cutter pedal to the left of my foot pedal.
Have had my M7 for over a year and have to say I’m pretty disappointed in the “accufeed” system. Both the AD and VD feet pop out while sewing with them. This happens most frequently when sewing on bindings. The design of the VD foot is particularly poor and at $57 is an expensive purchase to work so poorly.
I'd love to see a video that actually walks through these steps. It seems that all you are saying in this one is "read the manual" (over and over again) which is great advice but no value is added.
I love your assistant 🐈🐱💕

I put mine on the left…I’m a right handed person and less likely to touch it on that side as of course I use my right foot.

Many of my viewers want to know where this information is in their manual and I have many other videos on the Janome M7 where I get into the details.
This machine is way overpriced. In Canada it is almost $7500.00! If you can afford that all the power to you!
Always keep you eye out for sales on this and other Janome models.
Bought mine for $4,999 in Edmonton.
It retails for $8999 in Australia. Thankfully they have specials occasionallyn
