I started with leather skates and a year later got Bauer’s and never looked backed. Converting my friends here in southern CA to switch to the UK style so we stand out at indoor rinks and skating outside along the beach coast
I've been so tempted to get myself a pair of Bauer boots to convert! I love my artistic skates so much but the London skaters are slowly converting me over. 🤔
I’m the same, I recently bought some Bauer’s with blue accents, can ever see myself going back with my Impalas. I also find my Bauer’s very comfortable x
Love this video so many good points here too.. i’m new skater and looking to get my 2nd pair of skates but i didnt know what things to consider between the two. This was so helpful thankyou!
I like sk8labs roces convert, I'm thinking about doing a conversion with the same boots. Thanks for the tip about stuffing the toe I didn't know that one.
Hi! You are so so inspiring! I;m a beginner roller skater and I recently found a video with you and was so inspired by the way you spin! Thank you for this video, as I was wondering about the hockey converts, do you have any toe stops with them when you skate outside?
I love this video! you are very informative and helpful off your opinions alone! I want to start sk8ting badly but lately all videos about sk8ting are people from the UK which brought me to the converts which look fire but here in the US street sk8ting is not as common.
Do you chop and shuffle also in the artistic skates ? (also a tutorial would be niceee, I think I understand the motion but it's not great at the moment 😩)
I dont get on with the super hard boots like Bauer NS, the total lack of upper boot flex does not work with my skating style (fast in long bends) but i dont want to wear leather cos im a bloke lol so i skate on a compromise which are Supreme Turbo's, they are a clone of the Old School Bauer Turbo's but are factory roller skates and not a conversion and have no issues with boot crack where the plate meets the base of the skate, they are a hard boot but have decent upper boot flex and a hinged ankle that allows leaning back. They are a lot heavier than Bauer NS and i so wish i could get on with the NS as they are a nice looking boot but i just have to go with what suits my skating.
Yeah I grew up on original bauer quads but now I've had to switch over to converts, turbo's are just to expensive now. I was thinking about getting the supreme skates but decided to convert some nsx. I really should of recorded it. I think I do prefer the old style boots tho. Have you got a brother called Mike by any chance?
@@MrLethal1986 I bought my NS pre converted, only skated on them once because I hated how they feel so much and immediately bought a pair of supreme turbos as my bauer turbos are really showing thier age and had to be replaced, I love how the supreme are not a conversion and a factory roller skate, mot even bauer turbos were roller Skates, they are all conversions too! I can skate just fine on the NS but I spend most of my time doing laps at a very high speed and lean right in as I power though the bend and the lack of upper flex in the NS does not work for me. No, I don't have a brother called Mike
@@stevefox3763 yeah I've had quite a bit of ankle rub from my nsx, really wanted the white supreme skates but had no chance finding a pair in my size. Never mind must be a common name.
Those are not artistic skates. I have the powerdyne neo plate also. Artistic plates have a shorter "wheelbase". The front and back wheels are closer together. The snyder royal plate is an artistic plate. The bauer skates used to be popular here for people who like roller hockey before 90s Im american and ol school

2:37 when you spin the wheel… did you over-tighten? There wasn’t much spin to the wheels
We have them. They’re just ice skates. We just jam skate mostly. But I think the lightness of the ice skates might be nice
I would love to have a pair of hockey converts but it’s hard finding someone to ship them to America. Please help
I need the Nike V2’s so I can convert them
where can you buy the heels for the hockey conversions? preferably online.
Skate Attack

Hmmmm great question ! I’d say the hockey skates but that’s just a guess . Probably best going in to a store and trying them on
What size are they
Size 4.5
