Installing a Drotto Latch System on my Boat

- We bought a Drotto Catch-N-Release Boat Launch and installed it on our Karvana Boat Trailer. It is a very simple install and makes launching and loading your boat beyond easy. The Drotto simply latches onto the eyelet of your boat where the winch and safety chain attaches.

Bill, at the 6:36 mark, I can see your middle rollers are not in contact with the bottom of your boat. No support in the middle of your boat. Mine did the same thing after the install of the Drotto. A little adjustment with the winch u-bolts and winch stand and the middle of my boat was supported again. Bring the bow down, you want enough weight on the rollers that you can't spin them by hand.
As stated in the directions, unhook winch strap and chain at waters edge. I had a Trophy owner tell me that his Drotto released while backing down a bumpy boat ramp.

Installing mine Thursday. I bought the lock latch system also. I know it just to keep a half honest thief. Away. making it a little harder to take off. And have also put up a trail camera in a tree facing my truck.
How are you liking it so far?
@BandedBillOutdoors Works out pretty good no problems so far. I check it to make sure it stays tight. No problems.
Just got mine yesterday, installing today! Hoping it's worth the 300.

what do you think about the strength of it. I have a 3 ton boat.
@@50amt my boat isn't near that heavy, maybe 2000# but seems strong.

@@BandedBillOutdoors I was not able to install it on my tracker. The boat has a different bow and bow hook. I talked to the company and they confirmed that it could not be done.

i like mine but still reach over and hook the safety chain before i pull it up
I’ve heard some have had their Drotto fail; so I’m sure that gives peace of mind
Used to like it until I got my boat load mate. Check em out, like a 3rd of the price too

What does the yellow roller do
It acts as a bumper and allows the front of the boat to be properly placed
