I just wanna add to the character invention point; Markiplier did this. Watch the Distractible episode about confidence cause he talks about it. Character invention isn't a lack of authenticity, it's just a different side of you. Don't look at it as acting or lying, look at it as meeting a part of yourself you always had but never saw before. Yes it's a character, yes it's different from your everyday self, yes it can shield you from personal attacks because it's a character but it's still you, it's still authentic. The audience doesn't need your everyday self, they need the you you're most proud of, the you who isn't afraid of anything.

I didn't give a name to the character, I just pretended it wasn't me there. It worked perfectly to diminish the fear and anxiety of the moment. Now I don't have to use this strategy anymore, so in my case the "Fake it until you make it " worked very well.

Amazing skills you make insane videos. I just started out myself, and I hear that little voice in my head telling me to quit because of fear. It's really hard, but people like you give us inspiration to achieve more and to see what's possible. I Love that I constantly learn new things, and each time I feel like Im getting better

Superb! Thanks for sharing. Makes perfect sense to have an ethical vision/goal as opposed to chasing views etc. I’ve been threatening to start my channel for two years! (I’m good at procrastination!) Very inspiring, keep up the good work. You managed to pull off educational and entertaining at the same time! Subscribed! 😎😎😎

I’m about to start my RUclips journey imminently with over 100 travel videos ready… this video has definitely helped sort my head out because no matter how confident you may be, negativity beats you down. Hopefully I can make it a success by keep being consistent and if not at least I can inspire ppl with my own videos 😊

Super helpful! Just started my channel on self-development. I may not have many subscribers now but I had 0 before. Videos like this help me keep going when I feel like I am not making any progress or compare myself to those with millions of views and subscribers. For everyone working towards their dreams, don’t ever give up! Hope to share my story of triumph with you in a few years and share my progress.

(And since I'm still up at half past 2am after the end of New Year Eve, going into 2024, it DID freak me out a bit.... 😲) Cheers, and Happy New Year to you! 🥳
