James is a RUclips treasure! He's one of the original stars and even after 10+ years, a billion views and millions of followers he comes across as a normal person just playing video games. I love how he doesn't fall into the usual overproduced RUclips host mode of "hey (insert nickname for viewers) guys, don't forget to like and subscribe and leave a comment down below". AVGN is still a great show but I'm starting to enjoy Jame's & Mike Mondays even more.
And even though he doesn’t ( he shouldn’t have to ask , hell I don’t think anyone should have to ask about such things ,) still leave a comment and a like.
Guys dont be dicks, this is obviously a very chill series of videos, they are not trying to beat the game, just play it while having a good time. Some of you backseaters are probably biting your lips with someone not being good at the game or even trying but you can always watch someone else or be as hardcore as you want...on your own time.
One trick I learned playing this game is that if you are running low on lives and are not yet at a Kong Kollege save point, you can go back one level, collect some bananas and press start, select, and repeat. It works you start getting extra lives by going in the levels you already beat and farming basically.
First 10 minutes is star wars talk while James continuously dies on the same level, and doesn't get any bonus barrels or KONG letters. Quality content.
No offense to Mike, but what sort of person subscribes to Cinemassacre because they love Mike but wish they would get rid of James Rolfe? Obviously someone who subscribed for the let's plays but hate whenever they post one of those stupid angered nerd videos. This sort of mentality is why it's so hard to find anything good on RUclips today.
That's one downside to shooting the breeze (even if you devoted far too much of it to Star Wars); your concentration levels go way down. Some of that gameplay was pretty painful.
I love watching you 2 play, it's wholesome and nostalgic. I tend to play to competitively nowadays and it ruins a lot of fun for me in the long run. I grew up playing these games exploring every nook and cranny and being immersed, I get the same vibe watching this
I'm so used to collecting everything when playing this game myself. I understand though that they have a time limit, but I find myself yelling, "Get the damn letter! You missed a banana coin!", at the screen. 😂🤣
You guys know Rian Johnson purposely shat on the star wars setup from Force Awakens and he wanted to shake up the world when Disney was going to give him his own new trilogy anyway. It makes you wonder why they allowed this to happen.
Love watching you guys play AAA SNES titles. Seeing youtubers play these games brings back fond memories for me and cool to hear about stories of you guys playing these games in the recent past and distant past. The convo about Star Wars i had no idea about. I still need to watch The Last Jedi. Lol. Every other Star Wars movie i have seen though.
Personally, I like The Last Jedi. The movie has alot of noticeable flaws but I am one of those people where if I see something good in a movie, it can outdo the bad so The Last Jedi has alot of good more than bad moments. I was very disappointed with the ending, just giving you a heads up without spoiling anything but it is still an enjoyable movie. There is alot of people out there who hated it because of the flaws and consider it the worst Star Wars movie, even worse than the Holiday Special...I wouldn't go that far lol.
This game was haaaard, I always love to hear james and mike just chat about stuff. I laughed when mike did his guitar solo and james was just sort of looking the other way
Where to get a treasure chest? Try your local carpenters and cabinetmakers. Something cheap like birch can be wood stained or varnished. Sure would be hell of a lot durable than a plastic one from ebay.
It was sharper & more difficult gameplay than the original..also imagine trying to find all the bonus levels which cinemassacre isn't doing or showing on his gameplay
I went back and played it recently and had a fairly tough time at certain spots in the later levels. They seem to be doing pretty poor but tbf they dont seem to remember the game too well while a lot of it is fried inside my mind.
I just wanted to say, you guys ALWAYS cheer me up! You dudes are ALWAYS having FUN playing Classic Retro Video Games and discussing Classic Sc-Fi Monster Movies! You dudes motivate me to STRETCH myself and PUSH myself to GREATNESS! Keep on following your Passion and TOUCH THE SKY! I love Jame and Mike Monday! Keep fighting the GOOD fight! Much love and appreciation!
Hey Mike & James, one thing I noticed is you record at the wrong RGB range wich makes the picture really dark (crushed blacks) When it comes to retro games stick to limited RGB range. 😉
As a pew pew pew action sci-fi movie I imagine it scratches certain lowest common denominator itches many people have. And that's OK. As a film about beloved characters in a beloved universe though it categorically fails. Moreover, its director Rian and his puppet lord Kathleen had the gall to accuse OT-loving Star Wars fans of poor fandom for the backlash. They argued unironically that any subversion of expectations -- any at all -- was to be commended, notwithstanding if it was pulled off in an artful, interesting, or otherwise compelling way. Then you have peanut IQ normies saying LoL YoU JuST HaTe iT BeCaUsE iT KiLLeD LuKe aNd wAsN't YouR TyPiCaL sToRY StrUCtuRe!1!!!!!1111one. They miss the point of the criticism entirely.
You see when we were kids this stuff was amazing because it took your mind of the fact you had to go to school on monday. Now your like why am i controlling a monkey that jumps on crocodiles...
DKC2 was my No.1 favorite snes games next to Super Metroid. I fully agree to what James said in the beginning about DKC3. In my opinion, it was challenging at all.
Well a nice addition for your "Last Jedi" conversation. In german it's translated as "Die letzten Jedis". So Jedi in plural. So it's not only about Luke in singular form. And it's not a bad translation error. Disney would not make such a bad mistake. Jedi in plural is in english "Jedi". So you wouldn't know! ;)
they did the same in spanish. I'm guessing they were playing with the ambigousty in english but that doesn't always work in other languages and kinda spoils the mystery.
videomissionary It's what David White said. He plays much harder games and then fails at the simplest tasks in easier ones. I really don't get it. He should be able to pretty much beat this game without dying once.
Exactly. It makes me want to discredit any opinion they might have or any review they might do of the DKC games, when they seem to know so little about them I just can't trust what they have to say about them...
Also if you need extra lives before starting a new stage go to an old one. If your about to die while collecting lives you can press start and select to leave beaten levels. Just like in Super Mario World.
There was this weird 3d game I had for the Super Nintendo..."Jim Power in 3d land"? Or something like that...it was hard as shit but I remember the soundtrack was actually petty bad ass... So ...obviously...what I'm getting at is...Can you guys play "Cybernator" on the SNES?
"scared Luke" was not that bad when you consider even master Yoda ran away scared when they realized how big they fucked up with Anakin. What i personally didn't like was how they completely threw the whole "dead jedi masters can talk to Luke" thing under the bus. You'd think if Luke was having a hard time and getting scared Yoda or Obi-wan would've talked some sense into him and help him get over it.

awill891 Should see my stuff lol I been on YT for 10 years myself
I totally agree!

"Oh God! Oh God! OH GOD! ..oh good."
How did this turn into a Star Wars conversation?
They're going to have fun with the acid tower level...
Miles J. R That level was really hard to beat back in the day
I hate that level SO MUCH
Guys dont be dicks, this is obviously a very chill series of videos, they are not trying to beat the game, just play it while having a good time. You guys are the only reason I look forward to Monday
Haha The Last Jedi ending thing. I redited the movie when it came out and my ending was exactly what Mike explained.
Boomstick Gaming that movie needs a shit ton of editing to make it halfway decent lol
Yea I did like over 30 changes to mine cause I hated the film but now I can comfortably call it a 7/10 movie.
@@BoomstickGaming Release the Boomstick Cut
@@BoomstickGamingWe're still waiting for that Boomstick Cut, mate.
I dread to imagine these two playing some of the harder levels in this game, like Animal Antics. I bet they would take all day to beat those.
"Wait until he pulls out."
- James Rolfe 2018
I love it. A good chunk of the video is you guys bashing The Last Jedi.
Not really bushing it, more like...poking it.
One trick I learned playing this game is that if you are running low on lives and are not yet at a Kong Kollege save point, you can go back one level, collect some bananas and press start, select, and repeat. Had to do that a lot especially when I finally beat a level I was stuck on like web woods it took me a week to beat that level lol
@@Scon1990 that’s a tough one!! Glad you were able to use the trick!!!
“Oh theres a parrot in this one?! That would have been nice” cracked me up
Am i the only one who puts this on in the background and just listens them talk? lol
I do it too, keeps me entertained while I work
Nope! I do it, too.
I do that at work. Makes for nice background ambiance.
While at work and when falling asleep. Cinemassacre works wonders.
First 10 minutes is star wars talk while James continuously dies on the same level, and doesn't get any bonus barrels or KONG letters. Quality content.
Saint Cathedral james isnt a gamer, just a good reviewer haha
Saint Cathedral the lack of roll jumps off platforms makes me upset

Reminds me of Arin.
hope your feelings are okay and you'll survive
Loved the Clerks reference when you sang "Berserker". Not a lot of people catch that lol
So that's where that was from! I knew I remember it but just didn't know from where.

LMAO that was theee best jar jar binks impersonation yet you guys are great!
This is my favorite Super Nintendo game. Also this soundtrack is my favorite too so many classic songs
Man I really wish I had a friend that was that enthusiastic about beating some games together with me... Awesome to watch you guys.
best jar jar impression ever
I'm so used to collecting everything when playing this game myself. I understand though that they have a time limit, but I find myself yelling, "Get the damn letter! You missed a banana coin!", at the screen. 😂🤣
I live how these guys beat the hardest games, but the basics of a classic they don't know. Like, I haven't seen the ledge cartwheel jump once.
I'm thinking the same thing lol the later levels are pretty much impossible without it
johnnymills2 I think they did it once in the last part, but that's it.
Yeah they could have read up on the moves or something.
great trilogy. i need to pop those back in.
Your conversations really are the highlights of James & Mike Mondays.
"have a banana, have a whole bunch.."
I'm happy to see you two playing this game and I'm excited about the finale. I love K. Rool's theme song in DKC2!
You guys know Rian Johnson purposely shat on the star wars setup from Force Awakens and he wanted to shake up the world when Disney was going to give him his own new trilogy anyway. It makes you wonder why they allowed this to happen.
I wonder how much time they spend playing games they shouldn’t be dying this many times
I need two buddies like this!

gotta love that BERRSERRKERRRR quote from James referencing Clerks
This game is way harder than the first one.

I also love the soundtrack or score for this one

It's not nearly as bad as they make it look. Unless that delay they are talking about is messing up their controls.

This trilogy deserves a full stream for each one. You two should revisit them.

Good, that you continue DKC 2. This is nice to watch!
Loving the Diablo streams lately Mike!

"Last Jedi" is actually plural. In Spanish the title is "Los Ultimos Jedi," which of course refers to multiple jedi since "los" is a plural "the"
For some reason the song I hear used and remixed the most from this game is not Stickerbrush Symphony, it's that weird forest song.
You guys really need to play the Stanley Parable!!!! Great content love CineMassacre!
This is hard game, its not surprising you are having difficulty. #3 certainly is easier, probably as a reaction to this :)The best of the series IMO.
Well a nice addition for your "Last Jedi" conversation. In german it's translated as "Die letzten Jedis". So Jedi in plural. So it's not only about Luke in singular form. How does Mike manage to play these kinds of games almost every day and be so bad at them? Jesus.
zelos666 I think he sticks more to NES games?
NES games are much harder though...
It would make James look bad if Mike were to breeze through them and James isn't very motivated for those games.
videomissionary It's what David White said. He plays much harder games and then fails at the simplest tasks in easier ones. I really don't get it. He should be able to pretty much beat this game without dying once.

Stickerbush Symphony or Stickerbrush Symphony?
BrokenOpus stickerbush. I don’t know where Stickerbrush came from since there’s no such thing
BrokenOpus I've always said stickerbrush symphony, but apparently, both are acceptable.
Bramble Blast.
It's always been Stickerbrush.
David Wise himself said on his Twitter that it's Stickerbush. In the GBA port it's mislabeled as Stickerbrush.
James:”yeeeah mhmmm”
Love this series!
It's like a podcast but with something to look at.
beat it beat it beat it beat it
1:19 actually it's the opposite, it's meant to be played on a CRT, an LCD stretches the image unnaturally.
I like these multi part vids. Please do more.
