    Nice bike. Everything you said I thought when I bought my vtx 1800. When I stopped it felt heavy and wanted to tip. Kinda concerned me that the bike was to big for me and my weight, but after I road it a bit, I adjusted naturally and now I don't feel the weight. Awesome bike. It's always nice when your horse has horsepower

    Yup, I got mine in a trade. Knew nothing about it other than it out me in the back of the seat when I test drove it. It's an amazing bike. I do find it hard without an RPM gage. Seems like the operating RPMs are 2800-5k.

It’s a sport bike in acceleration but in a big Classic muscle cruiser SHELL. PS: it’s heavy tipping feeling goes away once you master it or practice in parking lots, and to me it handles way better than an M109R in the turns. Enjoy !! Enjoy !! Enjoy!!

    That must be a CA bike, because I've never hit a rev limiter that easy, that's really strange. I know Cali bikes have smog, and limiting, but I'm not sure exactly what's affected. Welcome to the cult of VTX :D it's an addictive life! At 12k miles, that bike is just a baby, just getting broken in, it should have a long road ahead, and a future full of warping asphalt with a smile :)

      Thumbs up on that. I bought a low miles 2003 Honda Sabre 1100 summer of 2021. Hands- down the best "Goldilocks" bike I've owned, not too heavy and not too light. Great handling and ride and really good low-end grunt for an 1100. Awesome bike for cruising twisty backroads in Tennessee.

      I went from a 2002 Honda shadow 1100 and went to a 2004 VTX 1800c never the less it took a minute to get used to but I was thinking go big or go home... I started out a long time ago with a Yamaha 650 Special then a 750 Virago. Lot of miles on those. Went a lot of years without riding then got back into it at age 62. Bought a Yamaha V-Star 650 just to get back used to riding, but it quickly felt like a scooter. Went to a V-Star 1300. Later bought a Kawasaki Vulcan Classic LT 1700. After that a Yamaha Road Star 1700, then a Honda VTX 1800 Tourer. So I'm an old fart now, 5'10", 200 pounds. And that ain't muscle weight, LOL. Bottom line, if doing a lot of "city" driving, stop and go, traffic, I'd stay smaller. 1100 or 1300 range. If not much of that and mostly highway and back road riding, go big. Nothing rides as good and feels as stable at highway speeds as a heavy bike. And the VTX 1800 is amazing on the road. Also balances really well at slow speeds and stops. Not top-heavy or "tippy" feeling at all.

      @@JS-lw2lu Curious. I am deciding between a RoadStar 1700, Nomad 1700, and VTX 1800. Better of the three in your opinion? Thanks.

      Biker friend to biker brother, I think Your question comes from fear. So don’t buy or get on anything you fear. But if you want TORQUE speed and MUSCLE grunt and want to really learn how to ride then all you need is to practice SLOW maneuvers, 18-27 foot U-turns, low speed Starts and full stops with only putting left foot down, tight circles, figure eights, lots of panic stops, and right turns from a stop, BUT you have to do this every every every weekend for 7 weekends back to back or 5 days straight for 3 hours at a time. Once you do this you will be 100% a better motorcyclist and can buy this bike . But if all you plan on doing is regular RIDING once a month or every other month on the street GOING STRAIGHT with a few normal turns here and there then don’t buy this bike. Again, don’t ride, use , or buy anything you fear. ❤ Only a Few bikes are as good as this bike. CVO category for a fraction of the cost. ❤enjoy !!

    • @mireliomarzo6468
      @mireliomarzo6468 Год назад +2

      @@namnik1 easy answer: BUY the one YOU love the most!! Easy choice but RIDE them all first . Don’t buy from any dealer or seller that won’t let you test ride. I always leave 1000k cash in their Hands to cover any damage If I drop it. But I won’t buy a bike without a test drive . Especially these muscle cruiser types
