Botw 2 is probably going to end with hyrule castle sprouting divine beast spider legs and link chasing giant ganondorf around the entire planet
At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if sheikah-made rocket thrusters explode from the bottom of Hyrule Castle and the final fight takes place in space.

I'm currently on my first playthrough. I had gone through the game without dying once.
Then I reached this fight. He utterly wrecked me.
This song is very similar to his theme from Star Allies but they upped it to such heights here it’s not even comparable.
It's actually a remix, probably every future theme in the next games will be similar to the one of star allies

The rougher and more brutal take on Dedede’s theme here fits surprisingly well with his Dreamland 3/64 design they used for this game. Never would’ve pictured it on my own but it’s damn good.
Just play it over the Kirby 64 factory level with dedede helping ya and it looks better

I like how King Dedede has a consistent theme throughout the series. Like Bowser's had some themes but nothing ever stuck, King Dedede's have
Kirby likes their leitmotifs
Bowser doesn't have a consistent leitmotif to call his own, but he has his own style. Some fusion of rock and jazz music is Bowser's signature, I guess you could call the intro to his Mario 64 theme a semi-consistent theme for bowser, as the stinger plays in most games he's in
When i was fighting dedede for the first time i just stopped attacking him for a few minutes to listen to this, it's absolutely amazing .
i would've done that if it wasn't for the mission where you have to beat him in 1:30

HR-D3 used to be a Dedede mech in the cancelled Kirby GCN game, so it's awesome that they reference that, via reusing this track.

@@StarlyCactusI'm still happy they referenced it used to being that, using this song. They honestly seem to love referencing/re-using concepts from that cancelled game, from morpho knight, Star Allies' main mechanic being built around the cancelled games 4 player co-op playing as enemies mechanics, etc.
me and all of my kirby friends popped off so hard when we got there, Extra Mode feels like work most of the time but stuff like that reminds me that I love being a Kirby fan

I realized, this theme mixes the best dedede songs into one (except masked dedede) + rock genre to make it feel more primal and wild.
I consider it King Dedede's theme from Star Allies to basically be part of King Dedede's theme now, just like how Kirby Super Star had expanded on his theme from the Mt. Dedede days.

Random head-cannon: There's a whole horde of captured waddle dees nearby that are cheering for Kirby off-screen / The waddle dees can hear all of the commotion from the other side of the elevator. Depends on which fight is currently happening.
Either way, the vocals are the captured waddles trying to cheer Kirby on.
additional head canon: Dedede can hear them and through the mind control he thinks they're cheering for him.

I also love 1:00 it starts the main melody slowly so you think "this isn't to crazy" an then at 1:15 it just goes ham.

Has to be for a king that can match a godslayer through naught but training and willpower. (Dedede is the vegeta to Kirby's Goku. Meta Knight is the Piccolo, and Bandana dee is the Krillin.)
Dedede, at first, he was nothing special, a mundane lifeform, weak in comparison to Kirby, a god.
However, his strength only grew from there, and its grew more and more.
He is the king, he decided to become stronger, cementing his place in history.
He becomes one of the strongest beings on the planet, a threat to Kirby at this point.
Yes, through sheer willpower, training, and ability, he becomes a threat to a GOD.
While Kirby has won every bout, he still had to try, to struggle, to fight, the king has rightfully taken his place amongst the strongest of beings.
A king may yield before a god, but he remains a king.

Real talk, we need a point in some Kirby game down the line where good ol non-possessed King Triple D loses his hammer in a confrintation to whatever big-bad flavor of the week, and just absolutely decides to throw hands (err, mitts).

At this point, it doesn't sound a ton like his theme
the main things are new but you can very clearly hear a lot of the leads throughout some of his older versions
It's pretty unique, you still got the motifs but with a new energy. It still personally feels like a DDD theme to me though!
his leitmotif is pretty recognisable throughout this imo. it definitely takes a minute of buildup but it's there.
