I mean.. we already won the UCL and the Super Cup.. one thats left is the Club World Cup.. nonetheless.. what we had achieved with TT in this short amount of time is already mind blasting..
He's currently in a club where no sporting directors, no boards will ask him what to do and what not to do. Chelsea and Tuchel are literally match made in heaven.
Err.... You might be forgetting Mademoiselle Marina Granovskaia and Petr Cech; one handles the business end and the other, the technical part. Of course, not as intravenous as Leonardo at PSG.
@@maxpower.5189 Marina and Petr knows what's best for the club and are open for discussion, that's why Chelsea signed Lukaku and Saul, we desperately need them. I get what you're saying though.
There is only one person anyone answers to at Chelsea, from the coach to a player to a fan, and that is Roman. And Roman is as demanding, driven, and success focused as Tuchel. Roman demands success. So does Tuchel. They are a great match and I, as a Blue, will enjoy the ride, no matter how long it lasts.
And the fact that PSG did not even win the French Ligue 1 title without him! Despite all the gazillions of money the Qatari are spending, Lille made it last season! :D
Abramovich demands trophies every year and demands Chelsea to be serious contenders for league titles and the CL each season. You can see that with how fast RA is with sacking coaches. It’s the same with Tuchel. He wants to win every trophy he can get his hands one. Tuchel may have had a falling out with the other boards, but as long as he keeps winning, RA and Tuchel will be best buds.
As someone growing up in Mainz and living with this Club since I was a little child, this video perfectly shows, what Tuchel did to a broken Team like Mainz 05. If I think back, the athmosphere, the energy and the team spirit were unbelievable. I've never seen this much football enthusiasm in Mainz, than back in 2009-2012.
Do you remember when Tuchel was there? Is there anything you can tell us about his time there that maybe haven't been widely reported abroad or is it all known about? (I know he asked to be released early from Mainz as he thought he'd achieved everything he could there)
@@ktkee7161 The relationship with Tuchel and Mainz got worse by time, because as the video mentioned, Tuchel is a difficult guy. Nevertheless, Mainz had sucess with him. He wasnt nearly as close to the fans as Klopp was, which just isnt the person Mainz supporters wanted to have. We're a small club, where its important, that the communication and connection between club and fans gets established. Still he was an amazing coach here and brought us to the Europa League only 2 years after we got into the Bundesliga
@@ktkee7161the fact that he won a game against Bayern with Mainz and then just replaced almost all 11 players to play next upcoming game in a different style says it all. Also that at Dortmund the team was against his decisions, but still won the trophy :)
@Zed Klopp spent 7years at Dortmund and Tuchel 2years and in those two went to two cup finals winning one and finishing second in the league. He also spent 2 years at psg, during which he won two league titles and the French cup plus finishing as runners up in the champs League
If you grew up in Mainz then you know what you’ve said is utter lies. That club was built from 2001 onwards, they were in the second tier of German football staring at relegation, gave Klopp the job, he won 6 of his first 7 games and they avoided relegation, 2 seasons later he gets them to the Bundesliga for the first time in their history. They had the smallest budget, stadium and wage budget in the Bundesliga yet finished 11th that first season. They finished 11th the following season as well and also qualified for the UEFA cup being knocked out by the eventual winners. Tuchel joined Mainz straight after Klopp left for Dortmund so already had Mainz best ever squad in their history to work with, just like the rest of his career, walking into a club already built by someone else and taking credit for that.
As a Chelsea fan this is best and the first detailed perfect documentary I've ever watched on our coach. Thanks to dwtv. Home of masterclass documentary 👌. Tuchel is amazing
Tuchel is an excellent coach. This video overstates by portraying him as a genius with so-called innovations and playing different formations with different players. Different players have different strengths and weaknesses, so of course you use them accordingly; not rocket science. His Achilles heel, though, is that he plays favorites with players . If he can control his urge to play players based on how much he gets on with them, whether or not they’ll bow down to his strong-arm tactics with players. Watch who sits for Chelsea and you’ll understand those are the players who will stand up to him for not treating them as people, rather than as a dictator.
@@mesoanarchy Don't worry, this is Chelsea and he has to keep performing to keep his job. No time for dictatorship. However we will get his best years as manager just like Mourinho.
@@mesoanarchy tbf it works both ways. Rudiger went from a laughing stock to world-class in four months, all because Tuchel tried to buy him twice previously & knew how to bring out his qualities. All top coaches basically work like that. If they believe that they can get the best out of someone, they will.
@@euanmabrown97 - Sorry, not all coaches bully players. The ones who do never last at one spot as long as they'd like because the moment the team flounders, the team the stuff that goes on behind the scene that damaging to the coach comes flying out. In every sport this is the way it goes with people who berate players and play favorites with others. Welcome to Tuchel's career so far.
I think he is a perfect fit for Chelsea that has great passion, little tolerance for failure and getting the job done at all cost. He may surprisingly be the longest serving Chelsea coach in the last decade.
He could win the CL for the next 4 years, but if he finishes 7th in the Premier League in the 5th year, Roman will have him gone. Such is the nature of Chelsea Football Club.
Tuchel and Chelsea seem like a good fit. Chelsea wants results, so will let Tuchel have control as long as he brings home trophies. And Chelsea's players seem to be disciplined professionals who follow directions and do not have the egoism of certain other elite players.
I think so too. Roman abramovich wants trophies and same goes for tuchel. I feel like they'll be best buddies lol. Chelsea's player treat manager like they master which I think every player should. To me he feels like a perfect manager. Chelsea don't have super star players hyped by media like crazy.
Well said. Chelsea's squad is the difference IMO vs PSG or BVB. The squad is full of extremely intelligent and experienced professionals who are dedicated to winning and discipline (Azpi, Kante, Marcos, Jorginho, Thiago, Ruediger, Mount, etc.) and they are a perfect fit for a demanding and methodical coach like Tuchel. When you have big individual egos like Neymar and Mbappe it is far more difficult for an inflexible personality like Thomas.
I'm sorry to interfere in your peaceful discussion but it is safe to say from the POV of a Chelsea fan that this is utter bs my friend. The CURRENT Chelsea team might have disciplined professionals but it hasn't been the case always. Why do you think Chelsea sack managers the most? It is because of player-egos. Every previous manager has criticised the Chelsea dressing room. Also, please refrain from spreading opinions as facts because it is hard to hear things about your team which are so far from the truth.
@@naman6026 I am talking about the current setup. We have had other players with more ego. But most managers are fired because they do not produce results. Manager longivity is based on trophies.

@@andrewwilson5722 I think it has been true in the past, especially with Hazard who even admitted it during Mourinho MK2 but this time I think that Lampard is the one who refused to play certain players who are now proving him wrong big time (Alonso, Rüdiger, Christensen..) To be honest Chelsea is the perfect club for him because, our club owner is also obsessed with perfection and winning! Emotions are important but results speak louder at Chelsea football club.
tbh I kinda agree on what you're saying but it also comes with some positive and negative perks with him joining Chelsea. Chelsea have the tendency to terminate contracts of managers like it is nobody's business... we've seen that in previous managers. You can claim it as "ambitious club" "hunger to win trophies"... but sometimes it is never about that. You get to lose the touch or the identity to become a " big" club... They can become the best club for a season or two, but a big club is very different. You can clearly see that in Manchester United Fergie Era, He laid the foundation so strong that even in the bad times and not winning trophies era they're still a big club, not the best club but they do have that Identity in them... but modern day football has changed a lot but I wouldn't be surprised in a season or two he'll be gone with players turning their backs or fallout with the owners.
It looks to me like he finally hit his coaching prime so to speak. He matured. Because he was always this genius, calculating everything perfectly and so competitive that that fire burned him multiple times but now you can see that he honestly developed amazing human qualities and characteristics. Because the first thing I told my friends when I saw him at Chelsea (didn't follow him much as a person prior to, only his games and results) that Tuchel seems to me like a great pedagogist and he knows how to cater to any type of player and draw the best out of them. You can see it by his comments from the start "it's my fault Ziyech is not playing often even tho he is a great player" etc. etc. He knows now how to make everyone comfortable, develop good relationships, understanding as well as making players want to kill and die on that pitch for him. We've bought a golden ticket as a club and Chelsea fans. I couldn't be more happier, this is a dream and long may it continue!
He has never changed. He still uses his coaching techniques since the first day he coached Mainz. And he also adapted to new and advanced techniques. That is why he is the best coach itw atm
He doesn't have a particular coaching tactic. He changes tactics based on his opponents. Even at chelsea you see him constantly making changes, he doesn't have a fixed starting lineup.
As a barca fan I always loved pep and thought he was the best but when I started watching football more clearly I saw Tuchel's interviews and his performance for Chelsea and he is one of my favourites. His style of possesion play and always finding a way is what I love about his coaching

His comment at 5.40 mins. is spot on. It should be framed and put up in every professional and grassroot football club. No player is above the team. If a player only plays in his own bubble the team suffers. Egos, solo artists and show ponies will get you followers on silly social media platforms, but they are the death of team sports. There are 11 players on the field. If you don't work for each other you won't have success. Kudos to Tuchel for sticking that to one of his players, whoever it was.
I love Tuchel honesty, his work ethics and enthusiasm. I am his disciple. I love him. He is at the right place. Abramovic wants to win 🏆 so he will love Tuchel. He will not get on his way in anyway. Hope he stays for a long time.
Frank Lampard was definitely necessary for when the club when we had our transfer ban, bring in some new blood like Mason Mount, Tomori, Abraham, James but it was clear that Frank when he bought in new players he was going to struggle as they were players who needed a manager who knew their abilities, and plus our defensive record wasn't great, we always had a great defence in the past, Tommy Tuchels priority in making sure we do well defensively was genius, won us the Champions League which at start we wasn't even favourites, then following start looking improving the goals
As a chelsea fan I hope but dread facing them in the cl, I feel that they would be our greatest challenge yet, especially if they're all healthy. Would love to see who comes out on top, but with the form they have rn, I think it would be too much even for us tbh.

I've seen that Tuchel has learnt from his past. You can tell by the way he speaks now. These ideas have been expoused by him at one time or another whilst at Chelsea: 1) Control what you can control and do not worry about what you cannot control; 2) Treat players like humans and connect with them; 3) Winning is important but it is not the end of all things. These ideas along with his meticulous nature, desire for high standards, and a holding of players accountable will see him become an overall better coach.

Already in Paris one had the feeling that Tuchel has improved in human interaction. This is evidenced by positive player statements after his departure. I think he has learned from his difficult dealings in Dortmund. That has brought him, apart from his sporting abilities, quite a bit further forward. The human aspect is not to be disregarded with top coaches.
Well he took a really split and fallen apart chelsea dressing room, moments after our greatest player ever was sacked as our feel-good manager, and not only brought them all together, but galvanised them back into title winners. Players who hadn't performed to that level in months/years all of a sudden did, players who had showed no desire or grit were suddenly warriors. There were players talking about the togetherness of the squad, how its one big family, when those same players were on their way out of the club by their own volition.
That's what we want to see and winning all trophies and I personally so grateful to having owner like Roman 💙🦁

Too early to make such claim. See what happened when the cookies crumbles!
tbh I kinda agree on what you're saying but it also comes with some positive and negative perks with him joining Chelsea.
Would love a series like this for every top manager. Seeing how their personalities are visible in their playstyles is so interesting.

Nothing to take away from other great managers in the world, Tuchel actually shows level last year or so at Chelsea. Even it took Kloop 3-4 years at Liverpool for their 6th CL while he did in 4 month. Manager of the year for a reason. Absolute genius.
@@kingarmish Klopp couldn't possibly have won the Champions League in his first year, Liverpool weren't a Champions League team. Tuchel inherited a world class squad that was being managed by a clown.
its impresive how good he speaks all three languages, he seems to be a very intelligent person
German and English is a little bit related so most Germans can speak English quite well
@@bri1085 An inexperienced coach, who shouldn't have been given the job after just one season as a champiinship coach. Frank Lampard is very far from being a clown.
Can’t believe I’m just finding your channel. Great content👍.
Keep it up chap.
As a Chelsea fan I really felt proud when Guardiola and Klopp called him one of the best managers💙🤍💙
What else can Pep and Klopp said to fellow professional?
R.i.p for next season 🤣🤣🤣
Chelsea's both CL titles came from managers who had just taken the job within a couple of weeks left to play, amazing.
Probably the biggest mistake Watzke and Zorc ever made at Dortmund: fire TT when he was just about to bring them even further to the top than Klopp ever did. And those Watzke „values“? I call out BS.
He's not an easy character but firing the manager that just won the Cup for them.
Same goes for PSG...
What was at BVB when klopp came him? Let us talk about what klopp did with less and with them in a financial situation so what are you talking about
@@chukwumakwazu9710 It was easier for Klopp to win those league titles with Dortmund until Bayern bought all his star players. Tuchel had to rebuild Klopps legacy and tried pushing the owners to compete with Bayern instead of selling their players to them, so they fired him. Klopp stepped down bc he got fed up, they almost got relegated bc of it. Tuchel had more points per game at Dortmund and Mainz (not saying he's better or not, just putting it out there). Theyre both great managers but different.
@@chukwumakwazu9710 Nobody diminishes Klopp's achievements. So take it easy, man. All I said, was that I think it was possibly BVB's management's biggest mistake to fire Tuchel.
He wasn’t gonna take them further than Klopp did. What Klopp did there is about as far as a manager can get with a team of Dortmund’s resources.
I am always incredibly impressed by his language skills. German is his mother tongue, but how he expresses himself in French with complex words is quite impressive. His English is also really good...
He made our team in mainz actually look like a good team. He formed players like schürle and holtby to truly amazing players in just 2 years out of nowhere
A person that can master 3 languages in a short space of time is just a genius menh
To be fair, you learn both English and French at school at an early age in Germany. It would be more impressive if it were two languages not taught at a very high level in Germany.
@@Krsto777 show me how well the average german's french is, i can tell you it's not good (me included)
@@mamamamamamamable but that doesn’t disprove his point. It would be more impressive if he spoke Japanese and Swahili .
@@johannesvonsaaz3987 lol , Swahili?? Hahaha , Nah bruh . It would’ve been more impressive if he spoke Korean and Lingala.
@@johannesvonsaaz3987 yes of course it would be more impressive, but i also don't see the need to always focus on negatives ;)
I didn't only love this man, I also learned that hard work is the key...he didn't give up after gotten the injury in his younger age💪❤️
Maybe because we are not alone, we say 'why is the US so rich' not 'why is US so rich'
Relax, it's not that deep. It's called enjoying life.
Who cares? There's nothing wrong here in my opinion. If two club vibes, they've chemistry lol
I have realised the value of money, it's tremendous. Money is magic. I'll take all I can get, I hope I never miss a meal again. I've been dead broke so many times.
@@jamesmarcus4105 It's really fascinating to see younger people are just confused and looking for financial security.
@@blaicushman455 Talking about financial security, it's strange how people talk about all the profits they've been making through trading of bitcoin. While am here not making any profit at all, please can Someone put me through on the right path or at least tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Chelsea were incredibly smart to get him. Look what he's done already? He's probably one of the best coaches in the world. I wish we could have got him at Arsenal
But the thing is he wasnt even the owners first choice..lol. He was offered interim which he rejected outrightly, then offered 18months and champions league qualification as a target. Abramovich's main target was Leipzig's Nagelsmann. He was approached in January he rejected saying he wont join mid season only if chelsea could wait till end of the season. Football and life is crazy
He would have revived aubameyang career
Chelski had ran out of ideas. They'd had every manager in Europe of any note. Tuchel or Pochettino were the only two they'd not yet had. And Big Sam. Yet.
Great video...I think in early Tuchel Interview with Chelsea era, he speaks about he learn from problem with director in his past.. nobody is perfect but for me, he shows the love for his players like Kante, even Kepa told bout his personal problems how Tuchel handle it.. He is now a more complete coach..
that is true and that is good news
BVB would have won atleast 2 Bundesliga titles had we just let him coach
its just not a good fit imo, bvb is too emotional( not a bad thing btw) just not the machination that is tuchel
To be honest to me Watzke serms to be the difficult person, not Tuchel. And Leonardo is just simply an idiot.
Why didn’t he win then shhh and stop chatting shit .
@@nem6262 exactly.. Dortmund, Liverpool..these are the clubs who are made for Coaches like Klopp
@@sygmaone Na come on Tuchel had Falling outs at Mainz and PSG.
I would say both Watzke and Tuchel are difficult people that clashed
Dortmund is the wrong club for a Coach like Tuchel. Chelsea seems to be the best fit for him
One of my favourite Manager n coach.. brilliant tactically.. he knows well how to use his players.. he knows how to maximize his youngsters.. i hope chelsea can win PL this season.. there'll be Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City this season to win the title.. Man United had a better squad than last season but still the same manager, so the same result i guess.. we'll see :)
Amazing video guys 👏🏻 I’m not even a Chelsea fan but now I want to support them just for how much effort this guy gives to the clubs he is in👏🏻
You are welcome. You won’t regret it. Being a ChelseaFC fan is exhilarating. 😁
We welcome you to the champions of Europe 💙💙
Then you might as well support Liverpool. Klopp breaths LFC 24/7. To do what Klopp has done with a fraction of the money Chelsea spent, is a far better achievment.
Welcome. You'll never regret this decision.
@@steinhib9988 and liverpool is full of home grown talent fool....
Came here after Spurs vs Chelsea. Tuchel was exactly how this video portrayed him. Ruthless in the second half after an abysmal 1st half. Made some tactical change, wasn’t afraid of making substitutions. It brought amazing results.
Tbh i think a coach has the right to demand everything a player has, the money they make it should be a given they should expect that harsh criticism and be pushed for everything. He is a master tactician and that what a coach needs to be. Fantastic video i look forward to more
Unfortunately TT also said that every player who didn't wanna play after the bomb exploded outside the team bus is a whimp and won't play one more match under him.
We miss you in chelsea
I am A United fan but I appreciate Tuchel's good work.
Your club won’t win anything under Ole imo
@@anilkumarsreesafety No need to rub it in. He probably knows
@@chigozieagwuncha2166 lmao... You guys are just too mean
Must be hard a a United fan to watch this guy who is now the best in the world and u have only the past to think about.
Same wish we had a manager like him
i think tuchel genuinely cares about the players, when he came to chelsea he said in some interviews he was going to change some things he had done wrong like board communications and such, I really hope he lasts because his tactics are amazing, we found a jewel and coincidentally we have the best squad ever, let's hope this all can work out for some time
Ever ambitious coach with ever ambitious club,Chelsea...such a perfect fit!
Thank you for your great documentaries.
OMGosh! I remembered the Liverpool vs Dortmund game! But only now I realise it's Tuchel!
Now Tuchel has become a monster.
"Can he reign it in?" No, most certainly not! What Tuchel demands of himself and his team is exactly what we Chelsea fans demand as well! He is the perfect fit. Trophies are what matters, we know it, he knows it, the board knows it, and the players know it. We don't want him to reign it in at all!
He delivered us a Champions League, but if he fails to deliver the PL this season, it will be a disappointment. And he will be judged for it. His own standards apply to himself as well as for our club! Unless he can prove it this season again, his history at our club will be short, and it is by that standard that he himself puts forth that he will be judged.
I absolutely love the man, he is a legend already, and believe he will deliver, also because he has the players that are willing to fight. As crazy as it might sound as a Chelsea fan, this is the first coach that I believe might have a long-term future here!
One of the best football documentaries I've seen. Thanks DW, I need more of such stuff!
14:19 that mentality he has a curse and a gift at the same time and i feel him very well
The documentary was wonderful to listen to ! He arrived to the club and somehow did that impossible magic, which no one could have done ....
Thomas is a great coach.Great video, as always.
United fan here but Tuchel is class ,he’s a Genius!
Watching this after tuchel is sacked absolutely heartbroken life comes thick and fast at you
Tuchel is now with the club that I love. He's amazing.
Honestly I'm Italian, and we had probably the best coaches in the history of this game talking about winning and tactic , but nowadays Germans coach are a truly brilliant generation of winners and winning mentality , niegelsman just the last for example, i love the way they forge their teams to be machines , in my opinion Germany for sure raise the best coaches of last 10 years , congratulations really pure talents
Exactly 💯
it all started with ralf ragnick in germany. he revolutionized the coaching game here.
Italien had great coach , german had great coach , spanish had gréât coach , French had only 2 because there is a sect in France its always same coach in ligue 1 😑😭
The best of the lot is Hansi Flick. His teams are almost impossible to play against.
@@armchaircritic4178 He is good for mentality of the team and attacking football but he has not the skills to fix the defends, look how much goals Bayern got last season and this one. But yeah, he is still one of the best
In my Opinion he truly is one of the best coach's we (BVB) ever had but yeah as a human being he wouldn't be able to fit in every club in the world.. But I'm very happy and proud of him for sure!
I have a feeling that the final of UCL 2022 will be Nagelsmann's Bayern vs. Tuchel's Chelsea, two talented top German coaches with a lot of Germany national players in both squads. Looking forward to watching that exciting game.
I really hope
Everyday I am glad this man became our manager. What a guy!
