    You have solved a mystery in my life! I am 44 and when I was 13, 14 and 15, I had those blisters on my fingers. It was awful. It was between every finger on both hands. I remember this well because it hurt, itched like crazy and it was during my softball years. Went to a dermatologist and my GP. Neither could figure it out. It was such a horrible experience. I would wear band aids on each fingers and when they got sweaty, it was much worse. Seems like one day, they started getting better and only had one tiny break out in my mid 20's. Went away pretty quickly. I am thrilled that I finally know what it was! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

    My sister is a dentist and had to find her own patients for her boards. My parents needed a TON of dental work and she brought my mom. The examiner was so impressed with how she did with her complicated Eastern European dental problems that he (the examiner) actually offered her a job on the spot. She didn’t want to move to another state and she didn’t take it - I bet her life would have been really different!!

    Hey, Doc. Congratulations on "No Cavities." That's great. Just an FYI. I'm an RDH licensed in CO and CA. I administer N2O/O2, Local Anesthetic, and can perform exams. I add this because I know TX RDH jurisprudence is very limited. Anyway, there is no rec'd amount of dental cleanings a year. I know it sounds crazy but true. It's very individual. For example, I need three visits a year and I've seen those genetically lucky folks who can come in once a year or less. The only reason folks think two cleanings a year is magic is because insurance companies offer two FREE cleanings with your policy (i.e. Insurance Treatment Plan) Truly, not statistically significant.

    I swear my Costco subtly moves their merchandise around on a weekly basis! One day something is in one aisle and the next it's been moved! Our Costco always seems to have the skincare in the middle. I got my 2-pack of Hydro-Boost for $19.99 recently on sale at Costco. Love a bargain!
    When we were kids and had a cold, my mom would rub Vicks on our chests, then take the clothes iron to a dry washcloth to warm it up, then put that on top of the Vicks. Always felt so good!
    At my Dr's recommendation, I recently went of oral allergy medication to a spray. She suggested Flonase or a generic of it. I went to Costco yesterday and found 3 bottles of Flonase for $52.00 compared to 5 bottles of the Kirkland brand for just over $15.00 on sale. No brainer! Thanks again Dr. Dray for all you do!!

    So, I’d say my skin is only a teensy bit sensitive, but Band-Aids… holy moly. I had a major DaVinci surgery last December and after about a week, the Steri Strips fell off. I was instructed to cover the five incisions with Band-Aids. Within a day, the area under the adhesive became red and inflamed, and within another week, I began spitting stitches. I’ve had reactions to adhesives on bandages before, but never that bad. I’m convinced it was the topical reaction that caused the layer of stitches underneath the skin to begin pushing out. It took months to heal up. Four of the five look just fine now, but one is still a raised bump that’s decidedly more pink than the others. Thanks for taking us to Costco with you! I haven’t been in ages and miss it so! ❤

    Thanks for the shout-out to dental schools! There are very specific “lesions” in the teeth to meet the dental filling requirements for Board Exams, so hoping you are a candidate is probably wasted time. Better would be to sign up at a dental school for comprehensive care. We also had to do a crown for the Board Exam (Idid this in Ohio and in California)- that was a lot easier to find patients for. But patients started to become savvy and demanded a lot of money to sit for the exam, I heard . Some of my fellow students sent limousines or paid for hotel rooms for their denture patients -these patients sat for many hours and did NOT get a new denture for it, so they were definitely owed something! Also, the labs that made the crowns increased their fees to work because they were overwhelmed with demand and had to get the work done in a day or two. It was a stressful time, hoping your patients would show, having “back-up” patients that you could depend on, or “give” to a friend in need.
    It was ALL worth it! I’m going to my 30-year dental school reunion at OSU in two weeks and am excited to re-connect and see the state of the art dental facility they have now. Thank you again for the shout-out, Dr. Dray1

    I love the white cotton gloves with a really thick emollient moisturizer I usually do moisturizer and then Vaseline on top of that and then the gloves. You can get boxes of about seven pairs on Amazon with a little mesh bag to wash them in.

    Hi dr dray and everyone. I have a huge question. I am in so much pain right now because my water softener broke and is being repaired. My skin is feeling it and inflammation is very high
    My question is what products can I use at this time to help calm my skin down. I have moderate to severe eczema on my face and body. Current using cerave baby wash as a face and body cleanser and using aveeno baby lotion under mineral oil.
    I have what can described as dry, powdery and flaky residue on my skin. Like ashy but much severe and it flakes. Sometimes it’s smelly. I’m taking a shower everyother day. Any other suggestions ?

    🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌺🌹👍👏👏🤗Dr. Dray on behalf of my husband I want to pass along his great love for sunscreen. I have bought many sun screens for him, when I ask him how he likes it, he says it’s OK. However, black girl sunscreen kids broad spectrum is his favorite. He makes wine as a hobby and here is California is harvest season for grapes. Let me tell he says this is his favorite sunscreen and he makes sure to apply to neck, ears, arms, top of the head and of course a hat. He was attending a football game and during the tailgate party noticed a mom take the same sun screen and apply to young child. A big THANKS for all your hard work educating us regarding sun care.😊😘🥰😍🤩.

    I worked in dental school. Far as they free dental work goes. They usually Loki go for patients for their exams and they will only do what they need for the exam. For example if they looking for deep cleaning. It will only be few teeth . Not the whole mouth. But you vocal get reduced fee work from dental work.

    Something to mention about oral care- antibacterial/antiseptic mouthwashes seem to have a detrimental effect on the bodies nitric oxide levels which increases blood pressure and heart rate by altering the oral microbiome and disturbing the balance. There are probiotic mouthwashes and products with xylitol to inhibit biofilm formation available which are preferable

    Question: with moisturizers, people say to put them on a damp face. With sunscreen (I think) people say to put them on a dry face. So what do you do if you have a moisturizer/sunscreen in one product? Do you put it on a damp face or a dry face?

    • @db-gb5xi
      @db-gb5xi 2 года назад +5

      You can put it on a damp face (she has talked about this in a vlog or other videos I believe). You put it on and let it dry/absorb. Then you apply another layer on top of that one.
