Thanks for all the tips. I finally trimmed my nails today and came to terms with how bad they got during a depressive period. Somehow so dry and dehydrated. So I rubbed some Vaseline on guessing that it might be something Dr Dray would say to do

Yay for Costco. Heading there in a couple of weeks. I need more cozy pajamas. Lolol! Not really but I do love their pajamas. Along with Wal-Mart pjs. I honestly could care less about clothes but have a hard time resisting buying new pajamas. I got the Vaseline the last time I was there and love the stick form that comes in the package. I found out about it accidentally. I was nightly putting minoxidil on my partner’s bald spot and I realized my nails were growing like crazy. I’ve always had nice nails, but this was something else.

Maybe Try to check your hand wash , maybe there;s some chemical that make your nail worse

Dr. Dray, thank you for the advice about putting Vaseline on the cuticles. I've been putting Vaseline on my feet and hands for a long time for dryness, but I never focused on the cuticles. Now that I do, I've noticed a reduction in hangnails.
Can you do a video looking at Costco shampoo as well?
Thank you for recommending the Vaseline Body Balm Stick. I've been applying Cerave Healing Ointment to my lips, letting it absorb, and then locking it in with the Vaseline. It works great that way!

i bought the lubriderm from costco and i use it also for my face and i love it as it is not very greasy on the skin and it does not break me out.

We had a super sweet standard poodle named Twyla and also a sweet rottweiler named Jelly that we spayed. Jelly apparently has a brother at home named Peanut Butter. 😂 Two sister kitties named Stormy and Misty got spayed too. Several more surgeries also. It started to rain this afternoon and its supposed to continue through tonight and into tomorrow. My yard is never going to dry out at this rate! The Lubriderm daily (blue bottle) is good but less moisturizing than the red/pink one. It used to be the only fragrance free option, but the Lubriderm folks figured it out.

I like to use Aquaphor Healing Ointment for my nails and cuticles. I think the lanolin in it is a bonus, but don’t use it if you’re allergic to lanolin!

Fun fact: four states in the US don’t have one either, my town probably gets 5k people visiting each year just for Costco. Out in the rural west, it’s a big deal to have one in your town.

I have a question about the CosRX deal with two bottles of snail mucin. I use it, but would you be able to use up two bottles before the second got funky? Had they used their new peptide serum as the second, I would run over to my Costco even on a Sunday!

In Montana, there are only 5, and folks often travel 5-6 hours to get to one… we have full on “Costco Tourism,” I’m honestly surprised there isn’t a marketing collab with them & the Tourism Board lol. There are usually at least five horse trailers in the parking lot every weekend 😂 I’ve even seen Hutterites (like Amish but drive & apparently drink) buying entire trailers full of beer and wine. It’s a whole party out at our Costco hahaha

I’m using the Japanese cleansing oil in the blue bottle and it’s phenomenal!!! I haven’t noticed a fragrance. ETA omg! Yes. Strongly scented. Floral and powder. I never noticed till I saw this.
I’m using that cleansing oil, too and I love it as well. I detect a “baby powder” scent. I used to love the DHC cleansing oil; Costco hasn’t carried it in years unfortunately. It was unscented.

Great information! Thanks Dr. Dray. Would you do a video on what products should not be applied on rosacea prone skin and which products are helpful. I follow a few dermatologist on RUclips but you are the one I’ve learned the most from. I really appreciate you.
I have rosecea and what’s helped it’s when I buy a product I check while shopping on my phone if its compatible with rosecea. You usually can get the info easily on website. Also don’t shower with very hot water or wash your face with hot water. Even while cooking I try not to stay close to pans or pots since steam can aggravate.
I'd check Dr Dray's rosacea videos. Dr. Sam Ellis has rosacea and videos on rosacea.

A whole lot of professionals that do know this proper name don’t use it but instead call this a cuticle. (For others, the calling the PNF the cuticle is a common mistake made by millions, but the cuticle is only dead skin and not this living skin.)

There's a k-beauty brand called One Thing (sort of the same conceit as The Ordinary). They have a galactomyces ferment filtrate product which some compare to the SK-II. Though if purchasing they are generous with the bottles, 5.5 oz and 10 oz. Cosrx has several retinols as well.

Cosrx skin care is top notch, while their sunscreens (I have tried two of them) are just duds, a lot pilling, fragrance, sticky Idk I was super disappointed probably since I had high hopes based on their superior skin care. But great to see them selling in Costco, that bundle looks like a good deal.

I need to know about that new exfoliant from Panoxyl. The video adds for that is saying to use it right after WASHING WITH THE PANOXYL BENZOYL PEROXIDE! I'm questioning that. I've watched so many derm videos saying not to exfoliate after washing with benzoyl peroxide. Then the adds are saying to use the Panoxyl wash then use the liquid exfoliant? Idk.

I'm in Saskatchewan and I've found the Baby Cerave Healing Ointment at my Shoppers, which is pretty much the same thing I understand.
In Toronto baby cerave healing ointment is available in shoppers and Walmart and is pretty much the same as the regular cerave healing ointment!
They don't sell the Rx Snail Mucin at my local Costco 😢
If I want to know if something is oil free, what ingredients am I looking for? Would I be able to tell from the Ingredient list?
A lot of products that are oil free will usually say. But most ingredients lists with oil ingredients will have "oil" as part of the name like jojoba oil or safflower oil/palm oil aminopropanediol esters, for example.
I bought the cleansing oil. Heavily fragranced but works well.i checked the web before purchasing. Same price at YesStyle, but would have paid for shipping. We have no sales tax, so I thought it was worth it. Some cleansing oils dry me out. This does not.

COSRX's response was to use another COSRX product with it. Aside from being small & expensive, it contained even more Hylauronic Acid (NG for me).
I hate that olay sunscreen has fragrance but still buy it at Costco cuz it’s a great deal 😅
