Covid19 is the least of your worries when riding Greyhound. They are the worst transportation option a person can make. Bums and drug addict hanging around in the stations. Disgusting buses that never get repaired or cleaned properly. I rode a greyhound three months ago and as always the worst experience I could ever imagine. The escape hatches were stuck open on the bus directly above me. It was cold and pouring rain and myself and surrounding passengers got soaked. It was night time and they left the bus station knowing it was broken. This was bad enough because this wasn't even the bus I should have been on. My previous bus was two hours late which caused everyone to miss the connecting buses they should have been on. This companies employees are rude and do not care about the customers. I felt like I was in a third world country riding Greyhound. Never again.
I've done a lot of traveling on greyhound and it has been a great resource I use for traveling. You have made some great progress in the quality of your brand, one thing that I've noticed is that security has gaps. For example your terminal in Salt Lake city has great security and feels like a safe place to be. But other terminals don't feel like that.
I agree. I been to SLC greyhound station a few times and I think about midnight they will ask everyone to show them there ticket and lock the station down and ONLY greyhound customers can stay. No one is allow to go outside but only to smoke and then when you go outside and finish smoking you have to knock on the glass to come back in.. only security can open the door. Also if you have to use the restroom, security will ask everyone if they need to use the restroom and they will escort to the restroom and open it because it take tokens to open but then I get there the front office is open for a little bit and I go ask for a token just in case but still got to be escorted to the restroom.. Security is great there.
I'm happy that they have Hand Sanitizer. One thing I hate about Coach Buses here in the United States is the fact that a lot of them have no sinks in their lavatories.
I’m on a Greyhound bus right now - from Philadelphia to NYC. I’m outraged by what I’m seeing. The bus is packed to maximum capacity. Where are the COVID- 19 protocols? I do not feel safe. I’m sending video clips to news networks.
They did not do anything social distancing, such liars! Everyone was sat next to each other & the only place it was social distancing was for the driver only. A guy even asked, ”are we not social distancing anymore” and the driver literally said, ”not anymore”. The bus was packed everyone sat next to a stranger. I would have recorded, but I was scared to be called a Karen or anything vile. Since I was traveling alone, and I'm just a very small human being. I was disappointed, since I really trusted their statements and I have older folks at home that I'm afraid of getting them covid.
Its is very difficult to provide social distancing on buses as I am an intercity transit operator myself. This virus is airborne and one person can ride a bus for one trip and contract the virus. Greyhound buses are at higher risk because only 1 front door and many customers purchasing tickets in which cannot be refused services due to human rights law. Furthermore, when it comes to customers wearing masks many ignore the importance and responsibility of doing so to help stop spread of it while it circles the air.
I booked my friend a 70 dollar ticket to escape her abuser, he ended up murdering her that night. Greyhound will not reimburse my ticket and are treating me with the upmost disrespect. I will never recommend greyhound they are a horrible selfish company. RIP Victoria Rodarte.
I was supposed to be on a Greyhound bus from Austin to Dallas at 8:45pm, the bus got delayed until 10:44pm, and they did not think to alert passengers. I had to find out from my roommate who was taking an earlier bus. I called customer service to find out if the information was accurate and they confirmed that it was. I got to the bus station at 10:00pm and they were closing the doors (mind you it’s 40 degrees outside and there were about 30 other people waiting for their buses to arrive). So I waited till about 10:40pm, then decided to call customer service again. The rep kept repeating that the bus was delayed till 10:44pm which was confusing since it was past the time at that point. I asked if they were referring to a new delay, and they did not have an answer. I asked if they had any idea where the bus was and they said they had no updates. Fast forward to about 11:15pm and a bus arrives, I get to the driver and they say I can’t board because it’s not the bus I was scheduled for (even though it was going to Dallas as well)…She asked me to track my bus online which I did only to find out that it was in Laredo, TX which was still hours away. So at this point I’ve been standing in the cold for almost 2 hours with no idea how I was going to get home. I decided to call customer service again …They basically tell me my only option is to reschedule for a trip that is literally 24 hours away from my originally scheduled one. So I stood in the freezing cold for 2 hours, with no updates, no trip, no guaranteed refund. My hands were literally so numb that I couldn’t type. @greyhoundlines does this amount of negligence seem okay to you ????
No they are not. I took greyhound last month and the bus was at full capacity round trip. People kept removing their masks and eating. I would not recommend taking greyhound I was so worried the whole trip

But they do not practice social distancing! My young child and I had to share one seat and sit next to a passenger who was not wearing a mask. And continued to cough and drool without covering his mouth. And never sanitized his hands. The only people they are protecting are the bus driver and workers inside the station. Most riders were not wearing mask and yet were not turned away nor given a mask by the station employees. I really wish they would allow everyone boarding to occupy 2 seats until this pandemic is over, especially those of use with children under 2 years old/children in general because it is messed up to have to share one seat with a squirming 1yr old, and extremely expensive to buy a ticket for babies and toddlers who more than likely won't stay in their seat belts. As well as the fact that sitting people next to others that they did not travel with is defeating the purpose of social distancing, and pretty much showing customers that the only lives that matter are those who operate the bus and work for the company.

The bus was packed to full capacity when I took them last month. All of the seats were filled.try Amtrak, I used them last week and the train was not at full capacity( they make a note of that on the website) and the price was close to greyhound.

@@TheCocoalove Amtrak was great. They enforced the mask policy so if they saw anyone’s mask down they told them to put it on and I did not see anyone that had to sit next to a stranger. I took a non stop train, the food bar was open but cash only.

I took a bus from Boston to Philadelphia with a stop in New York, on the way down and back both drivers almost made me miss my connecting bus and when I complained they said I would just have to buy another ticket if I miss the bus even if it is because the driver went the wrong way and forgot to stop in New Jersey so he had to drive an hour back to New Jersey to get the people at that stop. 😩

Greyhound scams people guys. Ok, here is their strategy. People try to book early so they can buy tickets with cheaper price right? But the greyhound tell the customer who booked early that their tickets are broken on the departure day without sending them any email notification about that and make them to pay the full price on the departure day or make them to choose a different day. People are busy so they purchase new tickets even though they are scammed by doing that. And if people ask for the refund for the full priced tickets then the greyhound would say they can only process the refund for the cheaper old tickets that they lied and said were "broken". That is how greyhound makes extra money by scamming people and they have no customer service number for complaining issues like that and only accepts feedback text form on their website and good luck with receiving any response from them. Beware guys do not let the scam you by doing that and spread the words.
Y’all do not social distance on the bus except 4 seats empty to where the bus driver is. Y’all need to redesign seats because the seats are not comfortable especially for long travelers. I don’t recommend greyhound anymore I prefer to take Amtrak instead because at least I’ll have two seats and not be seated by anyone.
Amtrak changed that a few weeks ago, now they are booking to full capacity and you'll have someone sitting next to you. They also have 24 hr. notification that you have to tell them you weren't exposed to anyone with the virus, don't have symptoms, etc... Funny thing is they expect people to be honest and that gives them protection from liability. Both Greyhound and Amtrak on a one way trip to Crazytown.

Y’all do not social distance on the bus except 4 seats empty to where the bus driver is. Y’all need to redesign seats because the seats are not comfortable especially for long travelers. I don’t recommend greyhound anymore I prefer to take Amtrak instead because at least I’ll have two seats and not be seated by anyone.
Amtrak changed that a few weeks ago, now they are booking to full capacity and you'll have someone sitting next to you. They also have 24 hr. notification that you have to tell them you weren't exposed to anyone with the virus, don't have symptoms, etc... Funny thing is they expect people to be honest and that gives them protection from liability. Both Greyhound and Amtrak on a one way trip to Crazytown.

Gets a bit difficult once supplies are running low.
What a bad company, unfulfilled tsn, terrible service, also if you are going to make a change there are positions available they charge you 20 dollars, but if they are delayed as usual they do not give you 20 dollars for their terrible service. NOT RECOMMENDED
Greyhound is the worst ever & have a lot of racist drivers . Made me and my family become homeless because of LATE arrival(2days late at that). When we PAID to arrive at a certain time. And they show no care that they are LATE.. So I dont think that anyone should Trust them to clean right.. Shut Greyhound down. They are the worst !!!
They are always late and they do not care of your outcome weather you miss your bus or flight because of a driver mistakes.

@@garbagetruckkid6476 Many drivers are authoritarian A-holes and bully their customers of ALL races, maybe a few drivers are nice but most are not. The buses are nearly always late and they won't give refunds if you miss connections.
Just shows how dirty these busses were before and still are.. didn't even care about sanitizing till covid..

My transportation trip with GREYHOUND was a nightmare from hell...NOT CLEAN ANYWHERE ON THE INSIDE . This commercial is a joke if GREYHOUND ISN'T HONESTLY DOING THERE PART.
