You have a great eye for quality! These two wireless microphones do seem really popular. They sound quite similar to me, but I definitely prefer the portability of the DJI.
I agree with you 100%. I also feel that the road sounds a lot better than the Mic 2. I have the rode wireless go to and I still feel like the audio that comes out of those microphones just sounds better overall than the DJI mic 2. I also use the DJI mic 2 for 95% of my audio because of his versatility and still decent sound. No one will watch my videos recorded with the Mic 2 and say my audio sounds like 💩 an for my content, that's what matters. If I was shooting corporate level stuff that calls for powerful clear and clean audio, I am rocking team rode. Allrode needs to do is make their next wireless mic as versatile and flexible as Dji's. Make them wirelessly compatible with all action cameras with that wireless mic capability.... And redesign their lav mic's clip (DJI Lav mic's clip is waay waaaaay better as it allows 360° rotation for that perfect fitment and doesn't poke the talent when worn attached to undergarments vs Rode's lav mic and lav mic 2's clips suck.
@@ZioComposite so I've heard audio samples after the new update with the mic 2 and the rode still sounds 'better'. This is also just my opinion. The mic 2 after the update does sound good, but the rode just has a very professional.. .clean sound. To be very transparent about the whole situation, If you were using either to shoot a movie, no one watching would get up and leave because of your audio. So it really depends on which signature sound you go for. I still feel like the DJI mic 2 is a better consumer product for people who wants that versatility with being able to use their wireless mic with a slew of products without needing cables. The moment rode matches Dji's wireless energy (which they probably are working on that right now, and still keep that pro-grase sound signature they have, is the day they put the Mic 2 in some sort of trouble.
If you only buy the mics, they come with the low cut filter enabled by default, that's why it doesn't sound good. You need the receiver to turn it off. Ciao.
I agreee, the Rode sounds a little better when compared together. I own both and tend to use the DJI Mic 2 far more often simply because of ease of use. The DJI Mic is so easy to connect with my FX3 and zv-e1using the MI adapter. Cool video though and inspires me to use my Rode pro mic more often!
The white version of that microphone looks so unique!

The video is fantastic, and it deserves way more views!
I got the Pocket 3 and DJI Mic 2, and this combo is super convenient and awesome! Loving it!
Like these comparisons, please do more
Great video! You missed a perfect chance to test the DJI Mic 2's noise-cancellation outdoors, haha! Maybe next time!

I heard dji released a firmware update for the mic2 transmitters with adjusted eq. What's your take on the update now?

@@Jonasegway thanks, appreciate the input!
Quiry, with your dji mic2, is this with the new update or older one? (released 3-4 months ago?)
Why dji mic sounds muffled?..maybe you need to turn voice cancellation off or the noise reduction option
*You need to turn off the low cut filter on the DJI mic 2*
good video

The Rode sounds better tbh
The Rode sounds better. DJI Bluetooth connection doesn’t sounds good for me.
