When you used Kaya's Wrath, Sheoldred would not be alive to see the draws to gain Marie any life. Kaya's Wrath resolves, it wipes and on Marie's board Midnight Reaper triggers 3 times, seeing 3 creatures die. And that's it, priority must now pass around the table for those triggers to resolve, and once they do, Sheoldred will be in the graveyard, thus gaining her no life.
Remember Dihada's +2 effect lasts until the start of your next turn. You had a free block with bladewind despite the witch having deathtouch. Doesnt make a big difference but its good to know
I really felt it when you forgot to use dihada, watching you attack without giving etali vigilance lifelink and indestructible, then playing kaya's wrath and sacrificing your only creature left before your next turn :(
@@Battleguild Dihada Has the ability to fit into every color when you read her lore. She straight up could have been a WUBRG casting cost if they wanted her to be when you fully understand just much she can fit into every color of mana.
I love dihada as well after I played the precon and made on moxfield upgraded version of Mardu Legends matter. I have the list if you want to see it Andrew. It even has vial smasher and tymna in the build as secondary commanders along with shanid. A fun build with cards in considering for the build as well. The win con in the build is still glorious rebirth to out value in the long term
12:44 correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't Marie not gain the 6 life since the Midnight Reaper's draw triggers don't resolve until after Sheoldred has hit the graveyard, and therefore she won't see the cards being drawn?
Besides combo what else does falco really want to do. Im building a falco deck now and dont want to use infinite/storm/draw. Wanted to use avenger as win con but you can't play lands off the top by removing counters. I guess maybe a control with approach of the second sun maybe as a wincon? Any suggestions.
I feel like Falco is a better fit for a combo build, one that uses Devoted Druid, and divining top to draw out your deck. After that, cast spells with storm and copy them for all the times you’ve cast divining top off the top of the deck, and swarm with stuff like Chatterstorm or Hunting Pack. Thoracle also can be included if you want to send a special message to your table.
Not sure if I missed something but after marie did her toxic deluge and swang her witch of the moors at dihada, your Bladewing still had lifeling and indestructible so you could have killed it and not lost it on the endstep. You chose to let the witch hit dihada and i was very confused by this. Edit: someone beat me to this.
Dihada needs "proliferate" effects, of which even in White, Black, and Red there are many. her +2 loyalty ability is only really useful if you control a creature that has flying or reach. Her ultimate is ONLY useful if your opponents have a "board state" which makes keeping her in play that much more difficult. What really annoys me about the commander precon is the fact some of the White creatures that makes your opponents have to pay mana to attack with creatures DO NOT protect if they're attacking a planeswalker you control, but some of them do and they should be in the deck. Just make sure NOT to use Ghostly Prison, but do use Sphere of Safety. the -3 loyalty is where Dihada shines, but again, without proliferate or flicker effects your going nowhere fast and Felidar Guardian is not legendary.
I've said it once and I'll say it again. Mono black decks are the most boring and uninspiring decks out there. You just put all the good mono black staples in there and no matter what you do, at one point you will just win the game.
@@TK-zd7ym Let me specify, you don't have to run a strategy to win with a mono black deck. I literally built a Gonti deck once, with no real win con, just all of the mana accelerators (Cabal, Nykthos etc.), some devotion synergy (Gary) and some all in cards and to this day, it had the most solid winrate out of all decks I built. And just because you don't agree with my opinion doesn't make it dumb.
I mean you make "just winning" sound like a bad thing, but I think mono black is just a really strong (and, personally, fun) archetype, at least it's not as boring as some of my friends' combo decks, lemme tell ya lol

I just built Ayara so excited to see her in action!
Such a fun commander. One of my favorite decks
One of my favorite decks. I like resolving an Abhorrent Overlord with a Panharmonicon in play. Makes me archenemy real quick!
Dihada has to be one of my favourite precon commanders! She is sooo powerful and versatile! 😁
She’s one of my favorites! I run her as a reanimator and it’s so fun
Upgraded her a lot and holy moly she is fun!
I don't know how to upgrade her tbh. So much choice.
Shame that they shifted her from Grixis to Mardu colors.

Wow. Well done, Marie. Excellent win
YES opening hands are back!!! Much appreciated goblin gang
4:45 "...then casts Reliquary Tower..."
Oof. That land's about to get countered so hard. If only he played it instead.
Really dig the music in this episode 🥰
Really classic and awesome Ayara deck! Dihada is also so cool even as just the precon! Loved this pod, great vid!
Thumbnails look crips and that Muddstah magic never left 10/10 Andrew!!!
Wahhhhh island sleeves in a mardu deck LOL thank you for the upload

Casts rise of the dark realms and it resolved... congrats!
Nice game, Dihada is a really neat commander
Gg everyone keep up the good work all ,the mono black might have to build?
First time I’ve seen Andrew not mana screwed.

It sure is the stronger deck but is it more fun?
@@olafthemoose9413 sounds it to me :D
I'm making three deck out of 4 deck, those deck very spicy, glad wont see a fish wins this game lol
Sweet game!
12:47 sheoldred won’t see the draw triggers resolve
Yeah definitely could've mattered too.
One of my favorite ways to win is though combat damage, all these deck are great,u sure this not cedh?

I forgot that Dihada's +1 is until my next turn.
How did you cast Dihada for the first time, with 3 mountain and rock, if she's Mardu?
His first land drop was Smoldering Marsh.

Do people still say first?

This is a dumb take. EDH as a whole is an entire format that basically encourages you to run “staples” of whatever colors you’re running
