Kinda' in panic mode now ... I tapped the fob a little and kept trying until the car finally started. I knew about the emrgency key, but had no idea what to do to sart the car. I put a new battery in my key fob because my battery was low, but maybe I put the battery in wrong because the key fob wouldn't work at all. This video saved me because I can still start and drive my car while I figure out what I did wrong with the new battery.

I have a port in my 2010 murano. My wife thinks you can recharge the battery. I think it is for this very purpose...to start car with a dead keyfob simply because there is no indication that the batteries are rechargeable. Also when I plug in the keyfob I don't see a lightning bolt or any other indication that anything is charging. But it has started tge car.
I was hoping that I could cut another hard key and have in case of loosing my key fob (as I did yesterday which stranded me for hours). So we can’t get the Murano to start unless at all times we have the key fob dead or alive?
My key fob for my Nissan Murano isn't dead; but yesterday, when I went to press the brake pedal to start it, it felt like the brake pedal wouldn't push in right, so I couldn't start it. It took about 8 tries to get it to start. What would cause that?

I was for sure skeptical this would work . . . but it worked 100%! in my case, we put the key fob through the washer and it hasn’t been working since.

After 2 years I’ve finally learned that there is no opening to insert a key. The key is just for opening the door.

2006 doesn't have a push button start but you have to turn the switch. So, what do you do then?
