Doug, do you or anyone else know if i can use the same basic setup to use the 3.5 STEREO jack to make a buddybox connection. the FS-i10 uses a 3.5mm stereo cable but the FS-T6 uses this round weird one. so basically want to do 3.5 t 3.5 stereo to buddy box.
i have never tried a buddybox connection, hopefully someone else can chime in and help
thx for the reply. if i figure it out i'll post info. i have the FS-i10 coming tomorrow
@@crabtrap did you fix it? i have 2 flysky i6 and i wanna buddy box, i wonder if i solder 2 audio jacks to them, it would work. any ideas?
@@mirono3099 You need to designate 1 Tx as the Master Trainer and the other as the Student Radio. Then you need to identify the PPM Output on the Student Radio and connect it to 1 of these mono audio 3.5mm connectors on the back of that radio. (Ground wire to barrel of course as well.)
On the Master Trainer Radio you need to identify the PPM Input and solder it to the center pin of the socket (with ground to shell again.) Then a mono 3.5mm mike cable and you are good to go. The 4-pin connector on the back of a pair of FS-i6 transmitters contains a pair of PPM Input/Output wires which swap over in the special Buddy Box cable for them and so they can switch roles as Trainer/Student Radios.
Hi i tried and it works. i tried to buddybox with my opentx radio. it works great.
Just did this mod, absolutely epic! Thanks so much!
will try it soon
thanks
Thanks!! I'll do it shortly for connecting the crossfire!
Hello. Please help me. In the FS-i6X model, USB signals are already output to the
connector, not UART. This means that a UART converter is not needed and you can
connect directly to USB. I understand that you can update the firmware via USB. But I
need to know how to link 2 remotes to train a student and how to connect it to a
computer for the trainer.
Questions:
1.Can I use the USB connection for simulator training?
2. Will it be possible to connect a computer directly to the PPM output of the Tranier
connector through the sound input of the card? So how do they do it in the FS-i6?
3.How to connect the remote control to another remote control. Should I connect the
pin bus to USB or take the PPM In and PPM Out pins?
Thanks,
Please dis this work with the flysky fs i6?
I have a problem everything is working but in smart propoplus 6 chanel is continously wobling as 7 8 2 as like and it moves automatically randomly any solution
Is all simulator software compatible with this arrangement? Some software, I understand, looks for a usb connection.
the ones that require a usb connection can use www.smartpropoplus.com/site/ to interface with most programs
Can you use this as a trainer port, just curious
Can we use type c port?
There are three connections on the stereo plug - ground, middle and tip. The other cables I've seen built use the middle and tip. You're using ground and tip which frankly makes more sense. I'm going to mod my I6 - I assume the same sort of port connections?
Just use a MONO Jack. Im thinking of using the USB port from the PC to power
the TX....There's another video using the USB port to power the REC. Then he's plugs the PPM signal from the REC into the mic jack.
That'll work too...if you're using a giant screen and just sit on the couch.lmao
You can just make a 3 pin connector ( min)...Ground to ground...POWER to POWER....Signal to signal...
It wound be the samething as pluging in an MP3 player via USB....Running
the MP3 and/or charging it.....4.8 V on this TX helps
There's has to be an audio signal pin on the USB....the other one is probably
just vedio....There's only 4 pins....2 are allocated for Power and ground.
Or just make an USB port to recharge rechargable batteries.
You just need to spice into the wires going to the batteries
That's nonsense to rig the USB wires to charge the batteries. Yeah I saw the guy who used a RX to send a signal to the computer - pretty dumb IMHO because now you're using a 3 or 4s battery that lasts minutes to receive the signal and send to the computer when you can rig a cable and be done with it.
jonathan, do you kno a way to replace this i6 round port with a 3.5 stereo jack so i can buddy box to another 3.5mm stereo jacked TX. same basic procedure as in the vid but i don't know which wire run the XY axis of the gimbels
@@crabtrap same here, any updates?
@@mirono3099 negative gooseman!
can you just splice into the battery' wires or terminal/conn....with USB port...This way you use the TX less batteries. Power the TX from the USB port from your PC.
You just need to identify the audio signal pin of the usb port.
OneEyE Monster it would be possible to power the tx with usb power, but the usb of a computer doesn't have a audio signal wire. So you would still need another wire to the mic input
Oh...well, At least I know how to solve the batteries recharging
issues on this TX. That's was pretty cool. I'll just zip tie the USB and mic cables when using it for the sim..Just use the USB to recharge...
Hook it up to 4 mini solar panels.lol
Just install 2 mic jacks to the TX...Make 2 cables, with an USB (power)to the PC or whatever. Just zip tie them into one...or use 3 or 4 wire cable.
How does the mod get video if you only plug a 3.5mm into microphone on computer?
there is no video signal. this mod is only for the transmitter to send a signal to the computer via mic port to play simulator games like velocidrone
So I'm trying to solder a USB cable i have red black and white, green which is data + and data -
same time than have cover open add battery mod, step up boos converter input wires solden, and power to converter wires out at battery box were add lipo battery 3,7V then 3,7v bood up 6,4v and have better no need pay alltime AA battery lot.
You can run a simulator with the data cable.
Blade FPV no u can't
@@ridewithjash Yes you can, mine has worked
I plug a 3.5 mm jack into this port but then what to computer and what port do I plug it in? Thanks
Clayton Johnson microphone input
Doug Hnut So this is just a 3.5 mm audio to 3.5mm audio and plug into microphone port?
yes, that is exactly what i did.
Doug Hnut Thank you...looks like the easiest way!
But what for laptop?
hii thanks
Doesnt work with windows 10. Spend $2 and pick up an adruino nano and an extra rx. Wipe the nano and run vjoy then enjoy wireless gaming with your fsi6.
All you need is a old svideo cable and a 3.5 female jack. No need to mod the radio. Then use the appropriate usb connector and cable that you would for all radios.
you need to tell people that you need a 4 way connecting aux (ground, mic, left, right) IT WONT WORK WITHOUT THIS. SAVE HOURS OF ANGER AND USE 4 WAY CORD
why ?
it works with a monocable. Unless you bought the wrong jack to install in the transmitter.
yes, I confirm. For modern laptops that have no separate mic input you need the four way connecting jack. use ground and mic as caleb jones said
@@caberga do you have a video reference for this tutorial?
@@sergk.7111 no, sorry
