I like these kinds of videos, I usually play them in the background while I am working. Engine sounds can be soothing. Had an entire playlist of STi POV videos :)
Clicked for the hoon, stayed for the cruise. It’s surprisingly pleasant in the cabin with the top down, windows up, heated seat/heat on even when a little cold out. Looks like a beautiful day to be driving
Great video of a beautiful area. Done this a couple of times in na miatas, once in my 19 mustang bullitt. Hwy 36 to fortuna, then south to the giants. Btw hwy 36 is 140 mi long with about 1900 corners. Epic!
Such a great road. Last time I was there was about 20 years ago, took a road trip through there with my mom (may she RIP...) in a new Forester XT at the time. Even went through the Lost Coast to Mathole road and that was quite scenic too seeing the western most point of the state. Good stuff.
Have they fixed (turned down) the level of assistance at low speed on the ND3? On my ND2 at lower speeds the assistance was so high the steering was lifeless. I had to push the car like 7/10 to get the assistance to back off enough to get some feel. It really sucked for roads like this where you're cruising with sweepers.
I’m sooooo close to buy brand new mx5 but my only problem is that it only comes in automatic in my country and only the sport trim, because it’s super rare and hard to sell here, so they are playing it safe by only bringing few mx5’s each year and most if not all of them are in automatic
Does your car need 5 seats? Do you drive with all seats occupied on all journeys? If not I dont think you need 5 seats and a motorcycle would do. See how silly your assumtion sounds? Vehicles are not single mission machines so there are many thing in them that are not nessesary for every single journey but togther as a package enables the vehicles to be practical for the user's mission profile.
Do people just rev these cars for revving sake? I cant understand why the RPM is anywhere above 3000 for just cruising on some twisty roads for this level of sedate driving? Nice road though. Being from Europe I was amazed when I saw these trees in California for the first time. Video does not convey just how majestic these Redwoods are.
Such a perfect sports car for an empty back road. The ND3 is a masterpiece.
Good stuff. I just bought my late grandfather’s ND3 club and drove it 13 hours home. Can’t wait for warmer weather and more drives like these

All hail the mx5!!!

Still light steering, but feedback and weighting improved. Feels more natural now and less numb
I am new to manual but is it ok to drive 60mph at gear 3? Thats what I am seeing here.
generally no, but i'm keeping it in power band since i don't know the road and want to be able to accelerate without downshifting

When do we get to see your Miata on track?
In 2025. I gotta get a roll bar installed asap
It's a sin to be driving with a dirty windshield on such a nice drive. Great vid btw.
😅
Is a 2.0 engine necessary in this car? I don't think so.

...You're right. It should have been a highly tuned version of the 2.5...
@@TRPGpilot What stupidity
