THIS CAKE IS DIVINE. I made this today (not for Valentine's Day obviously but for my sis's bday) and I was amazed by how the cream part doesn't even taste like coconut and the consistency is just like regular dairy cream (as what I could remember when I was a vegetarian). My sis is not a fan of Tiramisu but hey, she LOVES IT. She kept complimenting on how good the cake is and I was like "thanks to Sarah". TBH, I am an absolute Tiramisu lover and this brings back the joy I had like before. SO, THANK YOU SARAH, YOU ARE AMAZING xoxo
Years ago, before going vegan, I had a small catering business on the side and my specialty dessert that everyone requested was my version of Tiramisu. I have been WRACKING MY BRAIN for two years about HOW to veganize it and now you've done it for me. THANK YOU, dear girl, for devising not only an adequate rendition, but an AMAZING one that will rival ANY with mascarpone & heavy cream. BRAVO!

Something I learned from mommy tang a long time ago. Of you want the best coffee of your life buy a can of coconut cream open it up and blend all the contents in a blender. Save the thick cream in the fridge (it will harden a bit more but stay whipped) use it anytime you make coffee as a way to substitute sugar and even creamer. Its delicious 🥰🤗

Silk has a heavy whipping cream now that would be perfect for this. It is amazing. Just do not over whip it. Genious idea make cake fingers for the lady fingers. I will be trying this too. MmmmmmmM

I’ve got to try this! Also a quick tip: store the coconut cream in the fridge upside down, so that when you open it you can release all the liquid first. Makes it so much easier.

For adding the liquids to the base try taking a mason jar getting a second lid for it and on the second lid put holes so it'll sprinkle out like a garden watering can, you could use the sprinkler lid on other liquids just put them in other mason jars.
This is my first time watching you. I wasnt looking for a vegan tiramisu. You just popped up as a recommendation. You are so fun! I love your word choice at times and you seem to not have the best camera out there and phenomenal editing magic skills, but I love that basic, simple feel. I will definitely give this recipe a try. I just saved it!!

Never bothered veganizing Tiramisu; thanks for doing the hard work of translation! The new Silk Heavy Whipping Cream Replacement is an almost identical neutral tasting dupe for dairy heavy cream, and is what I would use when trying your recipe. ThanksForPosting : )

Maybe if you toasted or “dried out” the cake in the oven after you sliced it - it may resemble and act more like traditional lady fingers and would make it so they could be dunked in the coffee mixture instead of spooning it on top? Just a suggestion. I honestly thought that was what you were going to do when I saw them laid out like that on the tray

A thing about germs although here you put it in the oven etc
Bacteria multiply and they like sugar a lot so for example if you make sth to eat, put it on your plate and eat some of it and put the rest of the contents of that plate in the fridge bacteria can multiply. It doesnt have to do with the person, this can happen with your own bacteria from your own body. So i would advise anyone to be careful with that

My grandma was from Italy and made this often but of course it wasn’t vegan. So I’ve made my own version of this but wanted to see how other vegans make this too

Let’s all focus on being healthy and health-promoting vegans - whenever we can - yeah, this is not a every-day food, but if we can use ingredients that are better for our health, we should; coconut milk / cream, especially one w/ high fat content, should be only the very last resort to use as an ingredient - thank you though for suggesting aquafaba... maybe tofu might even work? Or any other alternative anyone can think of? I used almond cream (ordered from Amazon) for while, not sure though if that’s much healthier. Maybe a mix of tofu / aquafaba / plant-based-cream might work best and still be fairly healthy? Time to experiment!! 😁 🧪 🍰
I made this before and omg it is delicious but what do u think about using biscoff cookies ... I'm not the greatest cake baker lol and it makes it easier...

Only the o in mascarpone is normally very short, your version is slighty too long but is more than good for an english-american. Is more mascarpHOne like in PHO
squarz Actually, I watched a video of a Korean make pho, and while probably the majority think pho is pronounced foe, the cook said it’s actually pronounced fa, with the a pronounced as you would pronounce father. However, at least I don’t think she pronounced mascarpone as marscapone, as I’ve heard tons of people do so, including professional chefs.
Who remembers Camp coffee essence? It was used a lot for baking as well as making coffee in the uk.

Sister, in the original recipe we use biscotti savoiardi dipped in coffee for the base. 😜😋☕

Gotta try this out! Love coffee but ive never had tiramisu since I grew up mormon... no coffee let alone alcohol 😅 but this sounds amazing.
The alcohol isn't necessary for the recipe, and you can use decaf coffee.

Btw mormons cant drink decaf either, the coffee is prohibited, not the caffiene.
@@JFat5158 ah ok, I'm not religious myself. I find that weird about the coffee. I can't think of any reasoning why coffee would be prohibited, other than caffeine. But then again, that's the whole reason I'm not religious. Most aren't rational.

Silk now has a heavy whipping cream substitute in stores. It does have coconut oil in it, but isn’t as coconut based as coconut cream. 🤷🏻♀️
