John Force Racing dominated the second day of testing at the Professional Racers Organization annual preseason test, held this year at The Strip In Las Vegas.
Sophomore racer Austin Prock (Top Fuel) and Robert Hight (Funny Car) posted the quickest runs.
Great audio. Love the downtrack sound catch Vegas is good for that at the stripe. John diggin the nose thru the asphalt at the stripe.
Championship. It’s coming this season. Force strong one top fuel and one for funny car!!
So here we are back at 330 MPH on a regular basis. So, will the NHRA panic again and declare Top Fuel is now 1/8th mile? 50% nitro? narrower tyres?
I agree with everyone else here. Nice to see the Funny Cars hook up and stay in the groove.

I still think it is funny how race cars that have custom built frame and stylized fiberglass bodies are identified with Camaro, Mustang, etc. When the only thing in common is they all have internal combustion engines 😂

I liked Jack's run at the end. He wasn't moving around as much as everybody else. Great to hear them cars, no matter what track

Phoenix Arizona was the home for winter testing since the early 1990s the last few years we the fans got the boot closed sessions sucks ass that they are in Vegas and not at there home here in PHX

I have never herd them sound that way ?
lasso atrain For one, I have a directional mic so it picks up a little different than our ears which are kind of like stereo mics. When they run solo, like they do in testing, with no announcer or background noise, you can hear more of what that particular car’s engine is doing. Additionally, there is an echo at Vegas because of the Speedway behind the dragstrip...lots of factors lol. Notice how the daytime funny car runs sound different than Beckman’s run at night. The cooler air allows the sound to travel better!
There are plenty of digital sound analyzers to be found for free on line at places like Google play .very valuable tool when you think about it you can edit the sound you don't want out very easy ,specially if you have directional mics. Think about it and it will come to you.
