I see this is a 1962 machine, looking up how to age the Bernina, the first 2 numbers denote the year of manufacture up to 1970. I need to clean around the motor of a "new" one I was given lol, a 1958 machine.
I have a question about a sewing machine I just bought. An old Kenmore 158 from I believe 1977. When you raise the machine up out of the sewing cabinet it says in the base that it is screwed into sets just a couple millimeters too low and it makes it hard to take the free arm attachment off. How do I just the hinges and springs on the underside to raise that up a little bit? I appreciate your help.
Hi there, I am very interested in the brushes on my 530 bernina 1957. The brush cover screw on the bottom is missing. The brush is taped it so it doesnt pop out. What size would that cover be and where might I purchase one if possible?
Hello Im not certsin how to contact you I am in need of a stitch length set screw for a 1954 Kenmore 117-552 I loved your vid on this model a few years back. Would you know where I can get one or an alternative I can use thank you its the one that goes by the forward and reverse lever not the one above the needle
2 problems- the ornamental stitch selector (9 in machine book) and the needle displacement lever(13 in machine book) are not moving at all. how can I make
Some online sellers have replacements. Be sure to check with the seller to see if it would fit your machine. DO NOT run your machine without the proper, non-broken brush caps in place!!
@@VintageSewingMachineGarage i already bought a replacement that i didnt put in yet. the replacement looks a tiny bit higher than the original. but i think it should be no problem. the spring deflection would have a difference of less than a milimeter. thank you for your answer! and thank you for your videos they have helped me alot already. i wish i would have seen this video before screwing the brush cap too much in the wrong direction 😵
The leftmost and rightmost threaded holes are used to secure the Bernina to the carrying case during transportation.
Machines were affixed to their shipping containers using some of the "empty" screw holes.
Singer!!!!
