Anakin who was 12 and won a pod race which killed everyone but him He destroyed and entire capital ship and its fleet age of 12 Kylo was shot and injured before the fight with her I just looks like these are the gifts of people who are really powerful with the force
The scene that gets makes the Rey the biggest Mary Sue to me is when she shot a huge blast of force lightning out of her fingertips. Force lightning is a Darkside only trait (unless Disney retconned it which would make 0 sense when related back to the other movies and tv shows). For real though, not even Dooku had as powerful a blast of force lightning as that, and Maul didn't even come close to using it even though he was trained by Palpatine for years and years. The whole thing just doesn't make sense to me, and when paired with the other super advanced force abilities she has, she's just about the Mary Sue-ist character I've ever seen.
I agree partially. I think the reason that Rey is so strong in the Force is that there are not much bright side force users legt to distribute the force on. Darth Bane made the Rule of two so that the Force unly distributes on two Sith, making them much more powerful. So maybe thats the other side around now
@@TheRogueOneYT Good theory, but that doesn't really explain Rey's use of force lightning, even though it's an advanced Sith specific power. I also feel like Disney would've tweeted that theory out to make everyone understand why Rey is all powerful, but it seems they've kinda given up on Rey.
@@BenJaded While I did think that at first, force lightning needs a multitude of training in the darkside. Sure, Rey might have turned to the darkside a tiny bit when trying to save Chewie, but nowhere near enough to instantly just summon super advanced energy out of her fingers. I might have let it slide if it showed her turning to the darkside a little bit and some other experiences before that could also turn her, but she was pretty calm that entire scene all things considered.
Because she couldn't CONTROL it. Dooku can use even more powerful lightning both in legends and canon but he didn't in Episode 2 because he would destroy his own ship and he didn't want Anakin killed. Rey can use it but can't CONTROL it. There is a difference.
Easily kills the most evil character in star wars just by trying harder, effectively completing her path to the dark side, but then just says no and stays good..
The tragic irony is it that is what I was saying to people like Galen Marak through the screen and try to point out that striking down a Sith Lord should be as easy as simply killing him and then simply saying no to the dark side. 🙄 I absolutely agree that this girl is a Mary Sue.
The reason I hate Rey being able to fly the Falcon is because the size of it. If she was flying something small like a pod, that would be way easier to maneuver, and it would be believable that she'd be able to.

Luke couldn't lift his X-Wing in Episode 5, even with all the training he went through. In Episode 8, with very little to no training, Rey somehow lifts a large pile of boulders. Yeah great job Disney. 😒
The two biggest problems that the sequel trilogy had were Rey and Finn. Rey, because she was an uninteresting, perfect at everything character that just brought down any scene she was in. Finn, on the other hand, had the greatest potential as a character from the start. Unfortunately, he was sidelined to make space for Rey, which was by far the worst decision that Disney could have made. Overall, the Sequel trilogy had little in terms of compelling plot save for Finn in the Force Awakens, cheesy battles with overuse of CGI, way too many references to the original trilogy, to the point where the entirety of the 3 film's structure was based upon plot points of the original trilogy, and the forced diversity and toxic femininity that ruined anything good the movies had going for them. Overall, over all three movies, it is a 2/10 for me.

Daisy Ridley has the charisma, the charm, and is clearly up to the task; she CAN make a well written Rey work. The only thing Rey Who can't do is close her mouth all the way. Seriously, watch the sequel trilogy and take a shot every time her mouth is closed, you won't even get a slight buzz.
The part in the beginning where she flies the Falcon like a pro is made even more ridiculous by the fact that A) it's a ship meant to be flown with a co-pilot, meaning it would be hard to pull off any kind of combat maneuvers without one and B) she literally flies it better without a co-pilot than the Solo-Chewy crew who used it for decades as a smuggling ship and then through a galactic war where they became war heroes.
People say starkiller is a gary sue when he literally was strong in the force and was trained by his father AND darth vader himself from his toddler years to adult years. Even then, starkiller dies in the good ending and replaces vader unwillingly in the bad ending. Gary and mary sues never die for a cause. Or let alone die in general. Bringing down a star destroyer with the force alone doesn't make the character a mary or gary sue. Hell starkiller was told by kota he can do it. Whereas rey can just.. Do it. Starkiller gained everything from brutal and merciless training (proxy literally tries to kill galen marek everyday as a jedi or sith character) Starkiller easily overpowers episode 3 obi wan and darth maul cause he was forced to fight them ever since he became vader's apprentice. And yes. Starkiller would decimate rey easily. (Force unleashed 2 doesn't really count since it kinda went nowhere)
I would be so interested in watching a "sequels rewritten" to make Rey be a character that actually struggles and goes through hardship to grow and improve.
Also one who’s actually a Skywalker. And rather than her being the new Chosen One, she’s tasked with protecting his legacy. It truly sucks that Disney just made a cash grab
I pity some real actors like Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver to be stuck with drivel like this, knowing that they must’ve signed on thinking it would be like reliving their childhood or something.
@@daanzoomer2997 I'm sure he could force choke Rey or kill her in some other way with the force, but why would he do that? Also this mentality of only focusing on a character's power level is dumb. Starkiler: can use force disintegrate but can’t kill palpatine Rey: formed an x with 2 lightsabers and killer one of the most powerful siths of all time
The most infuriating part for me is probably the battle of Crait, where she gets a triple kill (she wasn't good with a pistol the episode before) while Chewie is piloting the ship, especially when piloting the ship is something she's good at while shooting is something Chewie is good at. If their roles were reversed, it would have been better. Shooting was the only thing she wasn't gifted for.
She also swings a lightsaber like it’s a baseball bat heavily telegraphing her attacks and leaving herself extremely vulnerable after every swing. A nearly weightless lightsaber shouldn’t need so much force
In-universe, there's no excuse to use a lightsaber like a bat. There is an irl reason, which is that Disney (for some idiotic reason) decided they wanted the lightsabers to actually glow. They did this by filling the props with lighting devices that made them heavy.

Is the ability not genetic though? As much as I dislike the whole grandad palpy thing

@@bugonboris6681That, and Grogu is from the same race as Yoda.
Darth Sidous survived
Great to know Vader's arc and death were in vain
The only thing Rey Who can't do is close her mouth all the way.
Seriously, watch the sequel trilogy and take a shot every time her mouth is closed, you won't even get a slight buzz.
Why would you subject yourself to so much pain?
The spectacle is literally the only thing they thought about when making these movies
Yes, Money
The part in the beginning where she flies the Falcon like a pro is made even more ridiculous by the fact that A) it's a ship meant to be flown with a co-pilot, meaning it would be hard to pull off any kind of combat maneuvers without one and B) she literally flies it better without a co-pilot than the Solo-Chewy crew who used it for decades as a smuggling ship and then through a galactic war where they became war heroes.
In addition, the YT-1300, even with Han's modifications, is a freighter.
Which is why we need sith characters like Starkiller to be canon to balance these types of characters out because he’d kick her @$$
People say starkiller is a gary sue when he literally was strong in the force and was trained by his father AND darth vader himself from his toddler years to adult years.
“You’re shorter than I expected”
Im not even a star wars guy but this shit gets me tight. Cant imagine how the fanatics feel.
I see jar jar Abrams has done a good job
Jar Jar is a thousand times more competent than that baffoon.
If only Mace Windu had 2 lightsabers, he could have easily defeated Palpatine :/
Twice the lightsabers, double the power!
I pity some real actors like Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver to be stuck with drivel like this, knowing that they must’ve signed on thinking it would be like reliving their childhood or something.
or more like destroying their childhood...
Adam Driver would have been an awesome Darth Caedus and Daisy a decent Jaina Solo
There's a logical explanation. Something, something the force
2:17 bruh luke literally wins easily
2:19 bruh
@@eintyphald4299 bruh she just basically used a gun in a fist fight. Of course luke backs down when she takes a lightsaber.
@@eintyphald4299 yeah, try fistfighting someone with a lightsaber and see how it goes
Luke in legends didnt even need a lightsaber he could just create a blackhole and kill rey in an instant
@@daanzoomer2997 I'm sure he could force choke Rey or kill her in some other way with the force, but why would he do that? Also this mentality of only focusing on a character's power level is dumb.
Luke should be overpowered but he isn't so he sucks.
Rey should be bad at using the force but she's naturally powerful so she is a mary sue and sucks.
Just ignore everything that makes a good character like flaws, motivations, layers and their character arc.
Funny Fact: The term “Mary Sue” came from a Star Trek parody.
Wait FR? Which one?
If Mary Sue has any problem, the script writers just invent a new force power for her!
I didn't watch these movies due to the negative reviews. This is the first time I see what people were talking about. All I have to say is, WHAT THE F CK MAN. They absolutely destroyed the franchise.
Understanding a Wookiee is one thing, but she can also understand BB-8. They lost me when they showed her having a conversation with a non-verbal droid.
Disney writers: “We didn’t write her to have flaws because that would be misogynistic.”
"Speaking wookies for no reason" 😅
It actually would've been a cool character flaw for her to be bad at piloting in a Star wars movie which also would make sense but nope just make her perfect at everything no struggle or damage taken the entire trilogy.
If you think there is a character who is a Mary sure which there's a lot unfortunately but also then think about this Rey has indestructible, unbreakable, reality warping, franchise destroying plot armor to such a level it's never been seen before which is saying something
might aswell just put the whole damn 3 movies
I'm still thinking that Finn would've been a better character than her tbh
Agree with you. When i saw the 7th movie, i was more interested in Finn way more than Rey.
same
True also rey can’t act for shit imo. Blocks palpatines lighting without any effort. Even yoda struggled.
@@midget420 yeah you saw Windu struggle to keep his saber up even with 2 hands during Palpatine’s lightning barrage and Rey easily just blocks it with one lightsaber with one hand
Finn pudo haber sido mejor sí los escritores se hubieran preocupado por él, pero no fue así.
3:48 LMAO she can do force heal without even a serious Jedi training lmfao like wtf Padawan obi wan was trained by qui gon for years and he didn't even knew how to do that when he was dying and she's able to do that, it's outrageous, it's unfair. Rey is literally a Mary sue LMFAO
Anakin who was 12 and won a pod race which killed everyone but him
He destroyed and entire capital ship and its fleet age of 12
Kylo was shot and injured before the fight with her
I just looks like these are the gifts of people who are really powerful with the force
@@dark_unit2409 ok but how do you explain her being able to bring dead people back to life cus that's an ability you must learn
@@jorjinabegum5776 when did she do that? I don't remember, cause force healing isn't the same as bringing someone from the dead
@@dark_unit2409 the kylo ren death scene (actually know I think that it was probably force healing),but if she can do that why can't Jedi masters like Yoda or qui gon do that cus that would've really benefit them in the clone war
@@jorjinabegum5776
Yoda Force healing:
Im not sure but I think Yoda did some type of force healing (not bring people from the dead) in the clone war,
Qui-Gon's death:
I think Obi-wan couldn't have helped Qui Got Likely cause it was too late Rey healed Kylo immediately after stabing him, Obi-Wan had to finish time fighting Maul only for Qui Gon to die a couple of seconds after he got to him
Force Resurrection:
You can see that to bring someone back from the dead costs the person doing it their life so you can see why many wouldn't have done that before, It also seems that u would have to do it before the body decays
At this point, nothing matters anymore. I was always open-minded and tolerant of the definition "Star Wars fan".
But when you seriously call yourself a "Star Wars fan" and defend a movie named "The Rise of Skywalker", where the last remaining member of the Skywalker family is killed off... then nothing is off-limits in terms of logic and fandom anymore.
This is Rey's real problem, not the story, but the fact that she is too strong without teaching.
she no weakness
me and everbody : well that just lazy writing
I searched for Sátántangó and this came up. If this is Sátántangó, it feels a lot longer than 7 hours.
This video felt short, it could easily be 1 hour+ long
Starkiler: can use force disintegrate but can’t kill palpatine
Rey: formed an x with 2 lightsabers and killer one of the most powerful siths of all time
The most infuriating part for me is probably the battle of Crait, where she gets a triple kill (she wasn't good with a pistol the episode before) while Chewie is piloting the ship, especially when piloting the ship is something she's good at while shooting is something Chewie is good at.
Only thing these movies have going for them is the visuals
Star Wars always did a great job concerning the visuals
But will they still be good in 20 years?
And the music. I may hate Rey as a character, but I love her music motif
