One of my buddies use to be 75kg and myself 65kg. I use to be able to keep up with him in freestyle. However, he bulked up until 90+kg now I don't stand a chance. I get pinned 10 seconds in. It's so demoralizing.
I've been bumped from 120 to 126. In practice, we had a game called king of the mat. That is when we'd start with the 2 lightest wrestlers having a match, and the winner would stay until they loss. For that, I was able to go up to about 138 confidently, but after that I had issues.
Since I was very against cutting weight in high school I basically wrestled my entire senior season at 197 even though the heaviest I weighed was 187. I would even wrestle up to 220. I was very successful. Made it all the way to the 9th ranked in prep schools at 197 and almost all-americaned at national preps. I lost in like the final second of sudden death overtime to a Greco kid. You could find footage of me wrestling 197 if you look up Peddie vs Lawrenceville wrestling. It’s a long video but I’m the black kid in the red singlet with the blue socks. It was a 3 way match and actually I was wrestling 220 that day

Wrestled up my entire sophomore season, guy above me was all state as a freshman at 170 and the guy below me was a division champ at 152
