    Check your owner's manual. Chaging the Shift Light;s RPM to flash, is easy to do. Honda sets it for break-in. You seem to ride a lot harder, now. I have mine set about 500 below redline. This light is only needed if you are on a racetrack and want to know exact shift point.

      Thank you ! I will check the manual. I didn't know I can adjust the shift light . I will try to adjust it.

    On my CB300R, I use my High beam, at all times. I have had no one complain, day or night, The only exception is if fI lip to high and someone down the road sees the change.
    Honda uses both Low and High beams on High, so you get two stripes of light. Riding during the day, I used to see people pull-out to see if it was clear to pass, eventually see me and pull back in. Since running the High beam day and night, no one has the done the pull-out-and-check thing in front of me.
    Odd, I find the head;ight on the CB300R bright and very white. I used to sell Triumphs, and this bke has a better head light Triumphs -- especially to the side (deer markers?). Then, I turned on High Beam and was doubly impressed. I think it is the white color of the LEDs that keeps people from noticing.

      I had to replace the headlight because it started to flash and sometimes completely stop . I can't go with high beam ...it's to powerful .

    I'm thinking of picking ones of these bikes up. Here in Thailand i can buy a 2018 model for the equivalent of around 1,600 GBP with about 12-15k Km on the clock.

    • @drriderike215
      @drriderike215  Год назад +1

      It's not bad for that price. I've done 22000 miles already and didn't have any problem with the bike.

      @@drriderike215 I was looking at the prices in the UK for the same bike and they're going for around 3,000 pounds. Bikes are a lot cheaper in Thailand. I believe Hondas are actually assembled here.

    • @drriderike215
      @drriderike215  Год назад

      Yes , the price here is high, but there not so many 300cc bikes here ...

    Have the same bike and adjusted the "Shift light" to come on the latest (~10,500rpm) so it doesn't bother me in normal riding (rtfm) and with a 15T front sprocket it rarely comes on. (the red line put with a custom pv3 tune to be @11,000-11,300rpm)

    • @drriderike215
      @drriderike215  Год назад +1

      Nice , I will try to adjust shift light to 10,500rpm.

    Does the wind shield actually protect you from windblast at higher speed like 70-80 mph?

      I have this bike; it's the least vibey thumper I've owned. It has a balance shaft that smooths the engine out at the expense of a little power and responsiveness. Still, it's more vibey than the equivalent sized parallel or V twin.

      @@drriderike215 Nice. I rode with a loud exhaust but got rid of it, if you ride at fixed speed the low drone will drive you crazy.
