    Just want to to say, "thank you". Your channel and these videos puts this place as the "go to" channel for this game (for me). As someone who is new to this, the level of detail, clarity and concise method you explain things is just epic, thank you.

    Thanks again for these guides, I've listened to them many times and they're always helpful. Following your suggestions interceptors are crazy, you really do have to leave some kills for the rest of the team!

      It is. Teleporting in general is extremely useful in this game, but the pinball of doom is just a nasty ability :)

    I got a heavy weapon that ignored armor and it was so good on one of these guys, teleported behind a armored objective and they did 16 damage per turn. Saved my ass in tough situations multiple times

    You don't have to worry about interceptors getting parried

  • @AskZch

    26:36 For armour you want +Passive Wargear slot armour, so you can combine it with sacrificing couple knights for ability points trough commune with the fallen to get another extra passive wargear slot, so you can equip 3 wargear items: Focus item, Crit Chance item and Crit Dmg item, you do not need preorder items to make the optimal build for interceptor.

  • @AskZch

    22:35 You should always run hammers on everyone early game on higher difficulties (including the apothecary if you are running one). Why? Early on you encounter a lot of Pox Walkers, which can be one shot with Force Strike with a Daemon Hammer's +2 dmg on Force Strike, other weapons leave them at 1 hp. Always run Daemon Hammer's on everyone until you get tier 2 weapons. One exception can be your justicar that you are speccing into Provoke so he can parry, but you need either decent parry chance sword, or Santic Shard wargear (focus gem) so you up your Parry % (to 100% with base sword and Tier 3 Santic Shard).
    You don't need to use Preorder items (Domina Libra Daemonica and Destroyer of Crys'lyx for successful run, what you do need is maxing out Teleport, Melee, Support Fire disciplines and eventually Sacrificing couple knights to use Commune with the fallen option to gain extra ability points to get extra passive wargear slot. Add passive wargear slot from an armour and that makes 3 wargear slots, meaning you can equip Focus gem (Santic Shard) and gurantee AP refunds on your Teleport, Teleport Strike and 2 x Crits per turn, second slot goes to +Crit % item (Augurum Scrolls) and third to crit dmg item (Liber Daemonicum). All this, paired with decent crit weapon (Best in Slot is Weeping Blade, but any high crit chance Falchions will do, turns your Interceptor into a beast. You can reach 95-100% crit chance on force strikes. Add in support from Apothecary (+crit damage) plus extra AP from (preferably two) Justicars and you can one turn kill bosses even on legendary difficulty.

      Sounds good, will try - currently on legendary / grandmaster mode, it's the technophage(?) missions that are hard

    I love the double teleport. 1 to get closed and then the strike to hit a lot of bad guys lol.

    preorder items like Domina Libra Daemonica and Destroyer of Crys'Lyx are not must have.
    Stacking crit and crit dmg can be done without preorder items.
    You can play ranged interceptor if you want to do a challenge run or gimp yourself for some other reason, otherwise my goto for early game is Get teleport, teleport strike, then melee discipline, then support fire, alternatively if you are running two interceptors which is a VERY good starting build and doesn't require any special gear, get Teleport and go straight for support fire, run Justicar for tanking (Honour the Chapter into Provoke), Purgator with psilencer, and two interceptors.
    All you need is to reach lvl 4, the flow of the fight is, Activate with Purgator so you can hopefully take 3 shots, instead of having to spend one AP on movement, then teleport in with interceptors, Shoot with Purgator and let the support fire do all the damage. Astral Aim with purgator the target which is a threat so you can chop off his weapon arm at a distance, mop up with interceptors melee and justicar, once you get provoke, just Provoke targets you can't kill with support fire and intercepor's melee. Profit.

    went with the dual falchions i found it to be the best class + weapons for pure damage on targets that need to die

    • @JericsGamescape
      @JericsGamescape  2 года назад

      Yeah, Falchions are great, especially if you stack up more crit buffs with other gear. :)

  • @AskZch

    16:16 Cleansing Strike is Weapon Damage, not 3 damage, you just happen to have 3 damage staff equipped, it's still not worth it and what you said about purgator (or purifier) they can do it at range and it's really good to have late game so your Justicar or Chaplain's Provoke won't get resisted.

    You can add extra ability points with commune with fallen for those interceptors that need a greedy build. Kind of a pain to pull off, as it involves murdering your own rookies repeatedly until they run out of resilience, but it is an option with the appropriate ship upgrade. Currently going for a melee build interceptor with the end bringer halberd. Combined with a chaplain's litany of hate, stun into execute combos can generate a perpetual engine of free action points. Maybe I am a sadist when I can't content myself with seven or eight actions per turn with my interceptor.

    • @JericsGamescape
      @JericsGamescape  2 года назад

      Interesting tactic with commune. I didn't lose any of my soldiers in my playthrough so I didn't really see a reason to go for the apothecarion upgrades. I can see if you wanted to make a super soldier, that's a good tactic though. As for executions, I actually found in my own game that I was often executing too much. I'd spend a bunch of WP to perform the executions, but then all the bad guys were dead and some of my soldiers still had like 5AP left with nothing to spend it on, but everyone's getting low on WP. Ran into that a couple of times :)

    • @frankcardillo5011
      @frankcardillo5011 2 года назад

      @@JericsGamescape You do have to pace yourself with executions so as not to waste a bunch of AP. Stuns don't have to cost WP, though. Brain Mines get you some of the way. Also, the Soul Flare stormbolter can do 2 stun per shot even when activated via support fire (i believe that just takes a purity seal upgrade)

    • @AskZch

      If you want to get maximum out of interceptors you are gonna have to sacrifice couple knights. You need to max out teleport and melee discipline, support fire discipline and finally sacrifice knights to max out Aegis discipline so you can grab extra wargear slot, once you grab an armour with extra passive wargear slot, you can equip Crit % scroll, Crit Dmg book, and Focus gem, if Focus gem is tier 3 (Santic Shard) You get 100% refund AP on teleport, teleport strike and two crits per turn, which brings his potential AP up to 7, before buffing him with honour the chapter (I recommend 2 justicars both with Honour the Chapter maxed in +WP Armour and +WP Wargear, early on 4th can be Purgator with Psilencer discipline and Astral Aim, later when you get good crit weapon, you replace purgator with Apothecary for Warp Speed Biomancy (crit dmg buff).
      WHen I am sacrificing knights, I usually leave one enemy with chopped of hand at the end of the mission, move away from him, and repeatedly scattershot sacrificial knights, most effective way I found to kill them, beside grenades.

      @JericsGamescape  Год назад +1

      This game doesn't make that easy - there's no command console I can use to set things up the way I want... like I can't just give myself 4 blank-slate knights and level them up so I can show in a video what those builds would be. I'll think on this a bit and see if I can come up with a nice way to present something like this, though.
