- We're back for Episode 3 of the VW Golf GTI Bass Build and finally we see the project starting to come together. Firstly the Golf gets sound deadened to reduce vibration, speaker and power wires are run, custom speaker pods are built for the doors, speakers installed and the bass enclosure starts to take shape.

This is coming together nicely, especially the doors, when finished it'll be dope! 🔥🔥 That much equipment and speakers means business! Raj casually picking up the subwoofer, gym coming in handy there 😂😂 Love the LED's in the door aswell, hope to see some kind of lighting incoporated through the build! Can't wait for the next ep! 🙌🙌

Im sure this is loud, but does it sound good. the amount of speakers and there placement looks like a phasing nightmare
Raj.. the build so far is very impressive.. 👌 But then again.. I expected nothing less from you guys.. I have a 10" Alpine R sub in a band pass box.. powered by a 900 watt JBL bass amp.. and the bass on that is more than enough.. I can inly imagine what you set up would soung like.. with 2 15's.. 8 mid bass units and 4 tweeters.. that would be something else..

Stunning work guys, those doors look so clean! Be interested to see what you do with the power setup, maybe a bit of lithium or a split charge system?
An additional battery has now been added with split charging. An upgraded alternator is also on the cards👍🏼

I knew audio is a lot of work but this is ridiculous. The level of detain in the door cards alone is crazy.

I hope after all that money spent on it you've used the Zen V optical decoder to get a perfect signal from the factory infotainment - would seem silly to go to such a huge effort to be limited by the factory DAC, time alignment, EQ, high pass filter and high to low conversion which introduces losses,. That's how I run it in my vehicle.
Are those A pillars something you can reproduce and sell?? They are exactly what I need for my Mk 7.5!!

Will the exposed mounting screws on the tweeters & midrange units be somehow covered up? Or is this an aesthetic deliberation?
The screws will remain exposed on the tweeters 👍🏽
@CAS do you guys still fit audio bits as I’m looking to upgrade my front doors speakers in my golf mk6 R plus need an amp put in & a 15” kicker comp sub but don’t want the sub in the box

Given how many midbass drivers and tweeters you ran, so you could get some sound out of this system, I’m very surprised you ran them all passively and not actively. You’re loosing quite a bit of db running them passive, given them being powered by the same amp. This is a big install. I kind of expected it done actively. Oh well, still sick!

@@CarAudioSecurityUK great, look forward to it. Just please give us a proper demo instead of a quick "look what we have done" video that really doesn't show us anything about the install process or how the final result is (the sound demo).
I just bought that powerbass dsp I have 3 way set up front and coaxial in rear doors. Bought a 8 channel sony mobile es amplifier. Can I daisy chain to the sub amplifier and run that without it being on the dsp?
Is this indicating towards a future bass meet?
