I had only seen 4 of the watches before, number 9 being my favourite and I had seen before,Great batch of watches, enjoyed the clip very much .going to look up a bit more on a few .
Great video. Meistersinger is the only type of watch like these that I have considered in the past. Would be good to see more of your own stuff…as and when you can.
Isotope makes pretty nice unconventional watches, also vintage Seiko advan's and Vanacs with faceted dials are wild. Same for Citizens cosmotrons, hisonic and leopard.
Loved this video. Big thanks to the YT algorithmfor suggesting it. Subbed immediately and went and bought one of these beauties immediately. Big ups, D
Nice video, one I didn’t even know I needed :) I was only aware of three of these so thanks for adding even more watches to the list of ones I might want to purchase… if I could ever make a decision ;)
under $1000 is a quite restrictive criteria, if it was under $10,000 i would have a long list ! I do however own some, 1. Nixie watch - there are a lot - i have a 4 tube neonica watch, but most are 2 tubes - so those are unique displays! 2. Christopher ward - c9 mk3 jumping hour - this is right on the edge of under $1000 some others that nearly fit 3. Mondaine - stop2go technically a display due to the second hand stops although this maybe cansidered an unconventional mechanism than display
Great line up of some crazy watches. Maybe do the same with a no price limit line-up. Like MB&F HM5, Resence, Bradley Eone one, HYT, Masahiro Kikuno's temperal hour, ...
I had that info in my original script but it made the run time huge because some of them take a bit of explaining. Are there any in particular you wanted more info on?
You press the button on the side of the watch, and the lights move up from the bottom and stop against a digit. It does that three times, once for the hour and then the next two times for the minutes.
@@ImpulsiveWatches once for hour? what about 11am? 1-9 makes sense. 0 might be 10. 12 maaaybe be no led at all (which could potentially also be confusing)
@@McFly. I think if it's 12, it'll go through the cycle four times. Twice for the hour, twice for the minutes. They say in the marketing that it's such a simple system they can't believe no one else has thought of it but, I can see a few flaws ^^. Like most things on the list though you don't really buy one for the ease of time telling.
You know what? I am a regular viewer of your RUclips Channel. I have seen all your videos and your content qualities are very good. I learned lots of things from you. Your channel has great quality contents but still it is not delivering its right audiences due to SEO problems. You should focus on your SEO so that You can get a big fanbase, Thanks.
Unconventional, and under $50: we just wanted to quickly introduce ourselves: we are Harris watches from Germany. We have just started... our watches are probably unlike anything you might have ever heard of or seen before. If you share our kind of humor, that is! We are into music and are openly sarcastic. Regards.
So I know these weren't named and they're not AS unconventional as the ones on this list, but man am I sad that Projects Watches went out of business. I love some of their designs and how they told times.
I could watch this stuff all day.
A change from al the usual watches that get shown ad nauseum

Wow nice selection!
do a part two, I love this

Another great content 👍. One piece to add here can be a braille watch: Eone Bradley

Bom dia Matosinhos?! BTW, nice video, i would also include the niwa lunokhod, every time i wear that, people ask about it.

Great video! I would like to recommend the Radcliffe Le Dome for a possible future episode 😁

Cool watch, thanks.
Great list… great video. I’d add the Svalbard HX11 to the list at some point
Great review, like to get a “Mr Jones” later.
I’ve got “The Accurate.” Not unconventional in time telling but a clever reminder nonetheless

I didn't understand the struggle of creating content amidst regular life until I started my own channel. I'm still trying to find my way 😊
A best digital watches video would be great. There should be interesting options apart from the typical casios.
👌
Fun video, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
Another contender: the MECEXP MS1001
cool video but I wish you had told us how some of them worked.... I now have to trawl the list to find out! some neat things though, thanks.
I had that info in my original script but it made the run time huge because some of them take a bit of explaining. Are there any in particular you wanted more info on?
@@ImpulsiveWatches no that’s fine thanks. I have had a trawl to look at the ones I liked in more detail. Great video.
Will you ever do a video on retrogrades?
I most certainly can
2:30 well, how does it work?

There was a watch that had piston in it
i was hoping to see the niwa watches in this list.
They were definitely in consideration, but I featured them on my interesting movements list from a few weeks back
THAI!!!
MECEXP MS1001
XERIC NASA
I love their tumblers but they're beyond the budget of the video sadly

Completely agree, I was considering putting one on the list but they're rare and reselling for a lot so it just didn't feel like great consumer advice
