The Eagle Ray II was the first Phoibos I ever reviewed with the burnt orange dial. Still my favourite so much that I’m on holiday now and it’s one of the 5 watches I brought with me. From 200+ watches in my collection it tells you all you need to know!
Great macro 👍. I like the bezel and dial/hands a lot. I think it could be improved if the crowns sat further into the case when screwed in and if the bracelet tapered more. Nice watch at a sensible price.
As if I don't have enough diver watches, you show me this beauty. Very nice. I was thinking it before you said it, but looking at the pictures, I thought your sample looked the best. This could be my one diver's watch that isn't a black dial. Enjoyed the review. Thanks
These are good watches, I bought one of the very first ones and since then they have come out with improved dials twice now but because I already have one I can't justify buying another.
I really like this one. 41X14mm is too big for me though. I prefer smaller watches these days. I have an early Phoibos dive watch that I've had several years and it remains rock solid. Great brand.
I love the double crown, and internal bezel, but I'm more of a black dial guy, and this also looks too big, and thick. I'm glad someone is making watches with internal dive bezels though. If someone makes a smaller (38mm case) and slimmer watch with a less 'cushion' shaped case, and black dial I'll be all over it!
Why am I always disappointed to hear there is a NH35 inside? Are the High beat options that much more expensive and rare? I wish Seiko would put out a decent highbeat and release it to the microbrands. Its just hard to have a NH35 Pagani and turn around and pay 300+ for another NH35 for case and dial finish upgrades...
You are really right! Why they don't try to put a Miyota 9015 inside one of these? I don't see any point in paying more than 100 usd in a watch using NH35...
@ilikewatches thanks and subbed. I'm at 6.75 and it appears this pushes my upper limits that i like. Torn on this or the bb58 homage san martin as the ali sale about to be over. I know they are vastly different but both would fit in my collection👍🏻 only 1 for now hmm
The watches are really very nice spec, and quality is top.. BUT I don’t know why they insist with that loggo? I have read 100 comments in different videos on YT, where people are saying the same, looks like a child designed it? Why can’t they try to listen on customers or read comments in videos.. 😔..
Looks like Berny supercompressor and a Phoibos Wavemaster had a love child, lol. I've got both and this looks good, but doesn't un-seat the Wavemaster as my favorite style from Phoibos. Still, a good looking watch, I may eventually pick one up.
I do t love thé NH35, pretty tired of it in fact. You have a nice automatic watch but a bog standard cheap low beat average accuracy inside. I like automatic watches and nice calibers, time for a better alternative to emerge
This watch sux it’s mint green. No matter how good you try to make the watch sound all I see is mint green. Hard pass longines conquest blows it a way or a Mido ocean star. That watch looks like it’s +-15-30
That's a gorgeous watch. I would agree with the Mint Green description from @Box_13. It's definitely a watch worth consideration and priced correctly. Thank you Gary! P. S. Those macro shots are very impressive!

Niiiiiiiice!
Wish sunburst burnt orange is a colorway more brands would keep in their line up ... same with sunburst teal.

Great vid and a stunning watch. I have a first gen Reef Master. They're really well made watches. That green is beautiful.

Just ordered, wish me luck. So excited. Looks so beautiful!
Hope you enjoy it!

Beautiful color
I like a compressor style watch and the seafoam green colorway is lovely as are the hands.

Looks good, better if date was at 6. The cartoon octopus more than counteracts all of the good work elsewhere and the nh35 doesn't help either.
I've got the white one with the date at 6 o'clock..love the color, it's better than what you think when in hand.
This may be my favorite Phoibos. The white dial would be my choice. Thanks!
I love my Eagle Ray which is a burnt orange sunburst. Absolutely gorgeous! Great lume too on bold applied indexes.
How about calling it "mint green"?
I think that’s a good description
It looks more like the Tiffany aqua to me i.e. Patek Phillippe, Sieko and Detomaso Voltre. I own 2 of these three. Unfortunately only the latter
I choose Teal
Moldy green? Fantastic macro shots!!!
It’s green… And it’s pastel green… And it’s really cool!
I didn't think much of it during the unboxing, but those macro shots are REALLY something. Wow.
You came back to watch the review! Thank you!
@ilikewatches I watch ALL the reviews. It's not like watching a review of something I don't especially like will do me any harm...
Blimey ! Thats a cracking colour, whole watch is a stunner !
Phoibos watches look attractive and they have a lot of attention to the detail. Great watches for the price 👌🏼
I got mine Phoibos Great Wall in may and i love it, super comfortable and lume is killer.
Never seen the Great Wall…love that dial though
@@ilikewatches Great wall 2.0 is my first watch from phoibos and its quality everywhere. I was about 5 years to late on the first version 🤣

Good price if it had PT5000 or higher end Miyota 9000 series ... agree it is pushing it at this price.
$50 less WOULD make a difference in my opinion.
You are really right! Why they don't try to put a Miyota 9015 inside one of these? I don't see any point in paying more than 100 usd in a watch using NH35...
Fantastic review! How would you guys rate this Phoibos as compared to Deep Blue, and as compared to San Martin?
The macro shows some very good detailing. It's a looker for sure, but maybe a bit shiny for me.
Really good details in everything. Love this brand and watch!
perfect size and looks like a great watch.... so youre telling me all my Tiffany watches are actually pastel green now.... OMG
Thx for the review. Would you mind sharing your wrist size?
Roughly 7 inches
@ilikewatches thanks and subbed. I'm at 6.75 and it appears this pushes my upper limits that i like. Torn on this or the bb58 homage san martin as the ali sale about to be over. I know they are vastly different but both would fit in my collection👍🏻 only 1 for now hmm
How have I missed this one !?!? Haven’t looked at Phoibos for ages, it’s a great looking watch 👍 and a good price.
Nice looking watch, mint green, a bit heavy for me though
reminds me of gorgeous Legend Diver Longines
I certainly doesn't remind me of any Longines.
No quick adjust clasp, huh? Nice review mate! 😉
Like phoibos as a brand big watches mainly I think my fave is the nebula? If that's what it's called dress/dive cross over
The watches are really very nice spec, and quality is top.. BUT I don’t know why they insist with that loggo? I'd say turquoise, maybe.
Beautiful dial and case the seamaster bracelet if tapered could be nice
Looks like Berny supercompressor and a Phoibos Wavemaster had a love child, lol. I've got both and this looks good, but doesn't un-seat the Wavemaster as my favorite style from Phoibos. Still, a good looking watch, I may eventually pick one up.
I love my Phoibos Proteus and would love to add a second Phoibos to my collection. I think an Eagle Ray would great addition. Great Review! 👍👍👍
Like the dial a lot, shame I just got a Voyager delivered. However, bracelet looks a little too shiny for me.
Thats nice mate.....
Looka mint in Colour...
Mmm that brace looks familiar!
I just couldn't be bothered explaining to people why the logo looks like something out of a 70s Bond film. Great looking watch though.
Lol
I love my Phoibos and the super compressor design but this trend towards teal or Tiffany blue doesn't appeal to me.
Call it the *Ogre green*
I do t love thé NH35, pretty tired of it in fact. You have a nice automatic watch but a bog standard cheap low beat average accuracy inside. I like automatic watches and nice calibers, time for a better alternative to emerge
D🔥PE, love me some super compressor style internal bezels
What is just below the octopus? Mustache and eyes look like the Top Hat Millionaire from a Monopoly game.
Phoibos is always solid. I have 4 and this may be number 5.
Adina watches are they any good
Creme De Menthe 😊
Beautiful watch. Hope I win it. 😅 One day...
Lol…still trying
Nice.
Love their logo too 🐙
Wouldn't wear a watch with a Octopus on it .
Looks like a kids watch .
But i always 👍
Thanks Junior
Not sure about that design.
Stunning watch, nothing I don’t like about it and at a great price
Phoibos makes some really great looking watches, but I just can't get past that logo.
HAIL HYDRA!
I don't like it at all, the previous batch with the feather-patterned dial was much much better imho
This watch sux it’s mint green. No matter how good you try to make the watch sound all I see is mint green. Hard pass longines conquest blows it a way or a Mido ocean star. That watch looks like it’s +-15-30
Do the ladies ask for your phone number wearing this one?
Looks a touch big on your average sized wrist. Otherwise v. nice
Narwhal. It is like the souped up 62Mas that Captain Nero would wear for his Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea.
Colgate green!🥸 Seriously though, best looking Eagle Ray I’ve seen.
That's a gorgeous watch. I would agree with the Mint Green description from @Box_13. It's definitely a watch worth consideration and priced correctly. Thank you Gary! P. S. Those macro shots are very impressive!
