  • On 15 July 1979 the IRA murdered Patrick O’Hanlon, 69. Married father of 3. Retired Catholic mechanic shot outside Falls Bowling Club, Andersonstown, West Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he’d been celebrating his birthday.
    Mr OHanlon had been lured outside the club after murderers arrived and crashed into his car, then asked for him.
    Mr O`Hanlon had reported to the RUC police after his car was hijacked twice and he was also a witness to the double murder of RUC police officers Stanley Corry and William Russell, on 1 November 1971.
