I've been around the block a few times and I haven't seen much that can beat Northwest Arkansas for depth and breadth. But I'll keep looking. I'm happy to be proven wrong, it's what this channel is all about.
🚲 I'm sponsored by IBIS and ride a RIPMO. I love it, build yours here: bkripmo.com

Noooo!!! We will miss you Brian! Thanks for the visit and providing the awesome videos for everyone to enjoy from Arkansas!!!
At 79, that's my kind of trail... Good Stuff.
the guests in the last like 5 episodes have all been amazing. Love hearing about the background of all the trails.
Hey Brian! After watching your videos since 2017-2018 I finally bought my first mountain bike last month. I always wanted one but couldn't justify the cost. I have loved every second since i got it. Thanks for inspiring me and countless others! Stay safe out there and ride hard!
Really like Alex’s style! Glad to see a humble trail guide who know just how much to say and not to say, to allow you to have your own personal experience! Good vibes and rides ✌🏼
Thanks for the great series, BK! I found it even more fun than last year’s 50 SS. The deeper dive, and especially the local talent sharing their trails, kept me coming back for more. Big props for even better video quality and edits, especially the sound and miked up partners. I am scheming my OZ escape!
Rained every day we were in the area, but did ride Hobbs. Beautiful area that probably gets over looked with all that's right in Bentonville.
We tried to ride in northwest Arkansas 3 different times and got rained out every time😂. We just stick to Mt. Nebo and Hot Springs now👍.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS ....Sorry that happened to you. Curious as to where you got your information? We have miles of trails in Bella Vista that hold up to rain amazingly well. Slaughter Pen and Coler dry quickly, but can be closed for consistent rain. Not sure how you weren't told Back 40 and Little Sugars weren't fine following rain. That's about 100 miles of trail to ride!
@@willbros1499 What information? We live in Central Arkansas and thought it would be a good time to go up there and do some riding and filming. We took our travel trailer and stayed at Tugboats, which was awesome. We sat in the rv all day as it rained cats and dogs for two days straight, then we went home. Almost the exact thing happened about a month later at our 2nd attempt. The third time we decided to drive up from Rudy where we were camping to just spend the day, and right about the time we hit the area here comes the rain again. Strike 3! Now we just stick to our more "local" trails if you will. This all happened pre pandemic, so it wasn't as busy up there as it is now. Not sure when we will try again. Thanks for the info about the trails man👍.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS .....Haha! "Information" wouldn't have mattered, since it sounds like it was actually raining the entire time. No one wants to ride during the rain! I was referring to getting on the various "Trail Conditions" pages on Facebook, managed by local advocacy groups, that outline conditions and offer "wet weather riding" options. But...that doesn't pertain to actual raining or lightning. Sounds like you just picked some bad times to visit! Next time, look for a time when it hasn't rained for at least 2 full days, and isn't supposed to rain for another 2, and head over!!
With the second mic "interview" style rides, BKXC should rename to Between Two Berms
Would be great to mount a couple of b-roll cameras pointed at the riders’ faces to catch their expressions as they hit features.
The downhill side of Wolf's Den when going clockwise is a lot of fun!
Thank you for showcasing a lot of what the OZ Trails have to offer!
Can't wait to have you back again!
Thanks for the visit! Y'all come back now 'ya hear!
Glad to see you're getting use of the Trail Pittsburgh jersey! Keep up the great tours BK!
you should do a video of a retro bike ride (90s + build)! and talk about the difference of "of then and now"!.. V Brakes ,shifters and everything
Alex is the best. Miss him not being at Lewis and Clark anymore, but sure he will be as awesome on his own!
What a mighty collection of trails out there. Really hope to get out there one day.
outstanding content, a great variation on informative travel log. perfect closing on series
yeahhhh dude, Hobbs was my favorite when I visited Oz!! awesome series, Brian
Great series Brian , looking forward to more of this kind of content 👍🏴
Super cool series of videos from NW Arkansas. I have booked RV campsites for the whole month of October 2021. I have plenty of trails you have covered to look forward to. I really enjoyed your videos history lessons with your guest riders mic'd up. I hope you keep that up in the future.
Thanks for coming to our wonderful state and showcasing some of our best trails! I've enjoyed following your journey and it's given me ideas of even more trails to check out that I haven't ridden yet. Next time you need to come to the central part of the state and check out Pinnacle Mtn State Park (Little Rock), River Mountain Park (another Rock Solid project that's almost done in Little Rock), Northwoods (Hot Springs), and Iron Mountain (Arkadelphia). Finishing with Hobbs was a great touch! The Karst Loop is awesome!
Great series of videos!!
The interview bike rides are really awesome to see. Love to meet random new people!
Damn I didn't realize it was 5 weeks there. Fantastic series and looking forward to more. Safe travels.
You're awesome, dude! Love your videos.
1st time I water skied was at Beaver Lake when I was 2. I grew up going to that lake every summer. So stoked to be able to mountain bike the area now too.
Good stuff Brian. I like the mic setup. Sounds awesome. I’m guessing that’s the new Rode?
I'm looking forward to your virginia videos. This past weekend, I rode a lot of what you did. So much to offer around Charlottesville. If you like chunk, we got it.
"Something that is central to so many mountain biking destinations"... check out central/northern VT. Mt. Peg, Suicide Six, Mad River Valley, Perry Hill, Cady Hill, Northfield, Cochrans... the list is endless.
I second this, come stay in Waterbury and the 30-45 driving minute radius is seemingly endless. There’s more to VT than the Kingdom...
Brian, Sedona, Flagstaff have some epic riding, tons of trails, and Phoenix is only 3 hours away!
Hes done it all
It feels weird saying that I feel lucky living in St. Louis and Only being 5 hours from Bentonville, but this Memorial Day will mark our 1st anniversary of biking B-ville and we've been 5 more times since! We'll be there again this weekend (Mem. Day) for another 4 days. It's THAT GOOD!
You hit a lot of the great stuff here (I'm a recent transplant from Socal). Hobbs is one of our favorite (Karst is really good)... looking forward to Mt. Nebo and all the rest that AR has to offer!
You need to check out SWA next time. Northwoods Hot Springs, DeGray lake, Womble, and LOViT.
Hobbs is a blast, just so fast and flowy.
Hobbs is great!!! I still want to move there...working on the family!
So noticeable to have the second mic pack. Nice to be able to listen to the other end of your trail conversations.
The Monument Trails logo is 👌🏻
Hobbs is such a great place!
I haven’t ridden any new trails in the past couple of weeks, but in the last week, I’ve hit 6 sizeable features I’d never hit before, and I’m proud of that. So maybe yet, I’ll see you on the trail ... if you manage to get back to Australia 😉
Just got back from Bentonville AR. Took the kids up there last weekend for 4 days of rainy riding. My youngest was looking all over for you...kept asking me if we could find Brian!!
Come to BC (Again)! Every town you come to has great riding...maybe not with the amount of money and a bit more spread out than Arkansas...but world class trails all over the place! I live on Vancouver island and From Victoria to Campbell River there are kickass trails. I know youv'e ridden up here a bit, but you could spend a few weeks on the island, and then head over to the sunshine coast/Squamish/Whistler/Pemberton for another few weeks. And that's only a fraction of what we have here....then you could spend a few weeks in Vancouver all the way up to Chilliwack and make your way up into the interior, Merrit, Kamloops, Vernon, Kelowna, Pentiction for a few weeks, then over into the Kootenays and well....it would take a VERY long time to explore all the goods in the Kootenays...lol. We haven't even talked about the kickass trails in the mid/north of the province...yeah, we are very grateful for where we live. With that said, I want to go explore Washington and Oregon (where I started riding in the 80's...yup, I am a yankee...lol)...so many places to go...and that's just a little part of the west coast...lol.
Anyway, thanks for getting people stoked on riding other parts of the world, I know this series has really opened my eyes to the diverse trail systems in Arkansas, I can't wait to visit one day!
If you're coming through New Mexico again you should do Glorieta. You totally skipped it last time. Lol
Drovers with farm to market interest need trails. I ride off-road without trails.
What I like about Arkansas are vertical cave entrances. Sometimes found
fenced so any cattle if off-trail cannot get into. Dead cows I did find below.
flat pedals and a hard tail - WOOT!
Brian that was a great series on Arkansas. Look us up when you get back to Durango.
Man how true is it to have fun. I took a friend on a bike ride his first time he was in a nishiki bike from dicks sporting. We had the best time and the next time we rode he had a enduro specialized bike how it bite him now he rides and does a lot of biking
Come stay a while in central New Mexico. Albuquerque+Santa Fe Metro Areas have endless miles of insane riding.
We live in NWA and Santa Fe is our home away from home. Love riding there. Hard to beat a rip down Winsor.
If you go to Stowe VT and then ride all the places within two hours you will find some great stuff and variety. Richmond Mountain Trails, Waterbury Trail Alliance, Fellowship of the Wheel, Millstone and many more. Old hand built single track to machine made flow trails. VT has it all.
Superb ❤️
You have to “Ride the Range” in MN. Go to Redhead, Tioga, and CUYUNA!
Skip Cuyuna. Go to Duluth instead
The entirety of Hobbs is incredible on the single speed.
Been there done that. Nothing better.
Big fan!
From nepal🖤😊
You could spend quite a bit of time in Sedona/Phoenix/Tucson. Similar 2 hour radius to what you were doing here
Hey dude! It's Sergio from Valencia, Spain. I copy here the coment I've let in the last video of Alex, three months ago... "Dude! I just rewatched this video because I MISS YOU! like many others suscribers I guess... I hope you're doing well and everything was fine. I got a suggestion... I think it's time to make a serie about a trip with Seth and Brian, so far Seth is recovered... You have to celebrate your awesome friendship wich remind me my own relationship with my best two friends back on the days. Time is gonna pass, fella! You're now young and healthy, no childs... you live free! So... ride hard and get stoke with you're best mates! Big hug from Valencia, Spain. CU SOON, I HOPE!" What you think, BK? Does it could be possible??
You are Best cycle driver
Riding that tommorow if ok with the rain tonight. I’ve been told by LBS that’s it’s ridable after rain. Hope so.
For sure, Hobbs is the best in the state for wet weather. Enjoy your ride!
@@sebastianboysen8979 Thanx
@@sebastianboysen8979 It was great!
I love thise treal soo very nice im from Philipines👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼💪💪💪💪
I want that jersey!
Its truly hard to beat arkansas in terms of mtb life. This series is so much fun. Whats the next destination?
Now we need a ranking. If you got 1 day or 3 days what are the top priorities? Never thought I’d want to go to Arkansas but here we are
Good bro... subscribe done
2:04 am. Ph🇵🇭 time lets go
puyat squad 😂
You have nice videos I have question you yua have extra frame for sale?
What would you say would be the top place for beginner/intermediate riders? Looking to take my kids down there from KC now they're older.
Having ridden NWA OZtrails A LOT over the past year with my Very beginner girlfriend I would recommend the following in order of skill needed:
1. Wolf Trail (super easy loop just south of Bentonville)
2. Mercy Trail (a medium length gravel loop with pump track style rollers)
3. Mama Bear (a medium length paved pump track near the Momentary museum)
4. Family Flow (a short loop with many rollable easy jumps and smooth berms)
5. Tweety Bird (a short fun flowy loop just north of town)
6. All American (the ubiquitous Bentonville trail, mostly easy but there are some technically challenging sections that beginners might balk at)
7. Lake Fayetteville loop (a longish cross country style loop around Lake Fayetteville)
8. Leopards Loop (a fun short paved flow trail near town just off the All American)
9. Whiskey Tango (a short fast flow trail with Big berms and an easy return trail also just north of town)
10. Fire Line (a long flow trail with many rollable jumps but an long ride back to the top)
visit our country too sir we love you here too..
gotta be the naysayer.. i hate bentonville! love the videos and production, just hate the trails :)
Have you been to Northwoods down in Hot Springs ?
Love from nepal 🇳🇵🚲🚲👍
Can you add this to the Land of OZ playlist?
If you build it they will come . Brian the ambassador of mountain biking . Soon he will be at a senate hearing on opening up more trail building in national forests accessible for mountain bikes. We know Covid was a boom for the bike industry but will it hold ? will people go back to what they were doing before covid and riding a bike . Mountain biking is a difficult sport and with a lot of consequence to injury . I think checking back in 5 years will tell us if this was just a short term novelty or something in it for the long haul .
We have organizations looking into that already here in Arkansas. I don't think anyone can predict the long term without any risk of being wrong, but when you look at the questionaires and responses, a lot of what is coming back is that people are realizing that riding a bicycle down a trail is viewed as a lot more sustainable means of exercise than going to a gym to ride a stationary piece of equipment. Many are also saying it's great to reunite with nature and get outdoors. They also indicate that they think it is a very affordable means of exercise.
The reasons being given, tend to lean toward the majority of people sticking with it. Now with the expansion of gravel riding, which is blowing up HUGE in Arkansas due to the amount of available roads and amazing scenery they pass, I think that's also going to help for those who are more concerned with injury, but want to have a fun sustainable means of exercise that's much safer than road riding. The reasons being given, seem to indicate it's more than a fad. The key now is finding out WHAT people want and need, in order to make it even more enjoyable, so they stick with it!
The man is talking about fundamentals while riding a hardtail. Facts. New riders buying expensive FS 29er's just learn to smash through things and not choose proper lines. Everybody wants shortcuts.
The wife and I would love to do this, but we are slower and I feel we would just be in the way of others riders. Is there a way to make sure you are separated on these trails?
Zero chance you would be "in the way." There are tons of wide spots, and if you hear someone coming up behind you, you just move over and they will pass. And...it's in Arkansas, so they're most likely going to be super friendly as well! NO WAY you should let any concern like that make any difference. We share ALL of these trails with hikers, and obviously bikes move much faster, so everyone is used to sharing the trail.
Hey bro.when u gonna come back in tahoe??
👍
is that a beginners bike trail?
How much money did you have to pay for your bicycle
Bankhead National Forest Alabama
First
Good for you
Timberjack>Sawtooth
Hey BKXC can give me a bike I like a bike like yours because your bikes looks so cool
O ya... and I know how to leave the ground too...it’s not hard unless you are this guy I guess
I just wanted an ohhhh, wow thanks for watching,? Buuuutttt noooo😆
Whoever wants to learn legit riding hit me up.ill ride park or dirt or single track, cuz fuck boy. Doesn’t have the time....I do
I’ve always thought “mountain bikes” was a misnamed description of what the sport is....in many places around the world it’s obvious you that you don’t need a “mountain” to have the best trails to ride a bike on. and when you do have a mountain it’s problematic in that you need some sort of assistance to get back to the top....
I wonder how many men are there at night time gathering to do stuff to each other?
What stuff? Like camp and drink beers?
@@kylesuds00 Stuff that attractive men like to do to each other
Apparently stuff you know and I don't @free man hawn jobb
As long as Tom Cotton is a senator... I won't be going to Arkansas. So yeah no thanks.
The advertising sucks.. quit the video.
