    I have been riding the now called Late Night Trails..back in the 90s it was just Cottonwood north/south trails, since the mid 90s. I am still in Vegas 1 week a month and ride with friends all over the area. People I take for the first time are amazed at the trail systems and different levels of trails. Thank You for highlighting what Vegas Local Mountain Bikers have loved for years!!!!

    Really happy to see you riding my home trails. It's not often you get to see others riding and enjoying the same things that you do. It's also nice to see how a far more experienced rider, such as yourself, handles this kind of terrain. Hearing you mention things like tunnel vision and skidding makes me feel like it's not just me that deals with those issues in areas like this!

    Awesome video, gents!! love it! Question...what is the anti ebike obsession? My wife and i upgraded to Yamaha class 1 Moro 7 emtb. Full suspension, have to peddle for power or you can turn it off and just peddle. What do these do to trails that a regular mtb doesn't? We ride 7-10 mph. i will never go back regular mtb and, in fact, most places now in europe only rent emtb, confused.

    what amount of suspension would you recommend for this trail? Is 120/120 enough?

    • @penguinpoop4
      @penguinpoop4 9 месяцев назад +1

      "Enough" is personal preference, but I think most riders would prefer a bigger bike on something like this. The Ibis HD6 that Brian is riding is 180/165 (fork/shock), but I think 140-150 would be my recommendation as a lower end.
      I personally think 120 would be underbiked for a trail like this. You can certainly do it, but a bigger suspension would probably be a better experience.

    • @bethrudolph2006
      @bethrudolph2006 9 месяцев назад +1

      If its the only bike you have while in Vegas, it will be just fine provided you have a more trail bike set up. I just rode this on my 130/120 bike, it was a lot of fun! But that's the biggest bike I have and I'm happy to just cruise and not trying to hit all the features. Most of it is pretty flowy, and there's enough uphill that made me appreciate the short travel. If I had my choice, though, a mid travel trail bike would probably be most comfortable for this, but I ride what I have, haha! For reference, I'm a Vegas local, so I'm used to our desert riding and sharp rocks😅
