Faker and Bengi have not been talked about in the same breath because, if you've followed SKT/T1 since OGN times, Bengi was benchable. And by 2016, Kkoma preferred using Blank. Case in point, Bengi "won" IEM 2016 and MSI 2016 as an unused sub. When Kkoma was playing with multiple junglers, Faker was versatile enough to be in tune with any jungler the coach wanted him to play with on the day. Heck even Wolf jungled for him in one game.
Keep in mind that just a few months ago, Faker was injured and T1 was at its worst form ever The fact Faker and T1 recovered from that and emerged World champions prove that T1 is the best team ever and Faker is the GOAT

I'm not going to lie, this finals is going to be legendary. I've played 1 LoL game in my life, and i've never watched a pro game ever. Barely ever even heard of anything outside of Faker. But i'm tuning in with a watch party of other people who have also never watched a game. This is likely the biggest esports match all year simply because the storyline is way too good
Think that this year's worlds especially. T1 weren't exactly the favorites to win, especially against all LPL teams. -LNG (Sure maybe) -BLG (Got beaten at MSI) -JDG (A near perfect team in 2023) I mean at one point, people didn't even know if T1 would even qualify for worlds and they got thrashed by GenG 3-0 with a close series against KT. But now, they are fkin hungry for that trophy. I hope they won't make the same mistake twice again by underestimating a 4th seed team.
T1's first worlds win was 10 YEARS AGO and now they have a chance to do it again. Not only is that an amazing storyline, but additionally this amazing T1 roster absolutely deserves a title before sadly disbanding after (most likely) this season (this isnt due to performance though I dont think, I heard that it was due to player salaries on the team being too high [for a single team] by Riot's rules) Never have I wanted a team to win the title this bad before
I don't play League, but I am very invested in the Faker story. But what exactly does red and blue teak matter? Is it camera angle? Or is it psychological?
Generally, the blue side picks a champion first, that's the advantage, while the red side picks last, which gives the advantage of picking a counter to that first pick.
T1 would have to drop the ball sooooo hard to lose this finals. I know you could have said the same thing about last year, but the way DRX played in quarters and semis last year, you could tell they were peaking out of their minds and continued to do so in the finals. Anything can happen, but unless Zeus forgets how to use a keyboard, I don't think he'll get gapped by Theshy like Bin did.
this is what I like about league tournaments. players gets to rest. meanwhile in dota you get a 5 games and then couple of hours or minutes you'll go straight to finals the same day. imagine the toll that they took before that finals. for me i think thats mentally unfair. I'm a dota player btw but i do love watching lol clips. and i love how they organize the tournaments.
I think both have their own pros and cons in league, because the break is long, the teams that ahead in the meta will not getting the full advantage of it, because the preparation is long and opponent will have time to analyze you. Dota on the other hand because the break between matches is short, will make the teams that ahead of the meta gaining more advantage for the example like TeamSpirit this year and Tundra in 2022 I think if Worlds have the same break as TI, T1 will win it 99℅ because their meta read is superb, but now with 1 week break T1 must thinking again about the meta because opponents can read them from previous matches easily
The seasons themselves are also 8 - 10 weeks instead of 8-12 day tours. That's more on Riot wanting to make a spectacle of it which brings in a lot more viewers and advertising. Valve just doesn't want to invest that much into it (hell their whole 'biggest prize in esports' is 90% player funded, Valve puts barely anything into it)
@@danielkuncoro3684 you can only go down the double range botlane rabbit so much until it circles back to hooks and engage supports. I'd be more surprised if Keria starts picking mage supports if Crisp decides to play Heimerdinger, for example. Xerath eats Heimer in both range and push.

Also, just wanted to say that guma's 1v2 was bloody insane and won them that game, remember Zeri was fed, even if a signle of her q's hit guma, he'd be less than 50% hp, a single w, q, AA would kill guma and he doges everything and he hits 5 AA and 1 Q in the span of .5 of a second. a FRACTION of a second guys. Bro I'm so fucking torn. I want TheShy to win, but Faker and the entirety of T1 played with such BIG DICK DEMON ENERGY this Tournament it would be painful to see them choke it away. As it stands, I don't see T1 losing unless they make egregious mistake or have extreme mental diff
I believe that Faker is a great player, but I think that one of the main reasons he has his haters is due to the fact that he only won during the days the competition was not yet that refined, which in turn means that if Faker can't win now that other regions have developed, it would mean that he was only GOAT because he took advantage of the time that the game was easy, which can be an argument to say that he is overrated. (similar situation to Sentinels at the start of Valorant Esports) However, the fact that he can stay competitive for so long within so many changes (both in game and the team around him), the fact that he made T1 a team that is always expected to make a good run at international events (no more, no less) is an achievement on itself. Faker already has all the trophies to prove he's the greatest of all time, and so he has nothing to prove to anyone (characterized by his demeanor and approach at the game seen in the teasers). Faker is the GOAT, but he isn't undisputed, his achievements is well within reach (considering he was on top for his first 5 years but couldn't go back up for the next 7 years). Those 7 years allowed people to come close to him (Although, the fact that no one could even reach his 5 year success in a span of 7 years just proves that what he did was immaculate). If he wants to prove that he's undisputed, to the point that even the haters won't have much to say, is to win a trophy here, at the modern age, and what better way to prove it by winning against TheShy, the player that started the new era of League, where Korea is not always going to be the winner.
To be fair he still had to play angnist monster during his era, uzi, smeb, kuro, gorilla, pawn, pray, ambition, ruler, mata, all of these guy are consider some of the best, an example is legit ruler where many people believe he was the best player coming into this worlds. So we can’t ignore that
he's the induspited GOAT, to say otherwise is cope, if you count it only from 2018, he has won several domestic titles since then, went 18-0 in a regular split, went consistently to semis/finals in international tournaments No other team/player came close, Damnwon was on the road but they're in the slumps now, domestically only GenG comes close/DWG but factoring in internationally? he was the GOAT because he won at the time when the game was easy? well if that was the case it was easy for other players as well, those other players are barely playing nowadays, only Scout/Rookie among the old mid laners he has been facing since 2015 Couldn't go back up next 7 years? are you living under a rock, he's been in semis/finals consistently
The fact that all the anaysts agree that there is a huge gap after Faker to consider 2nd to GOAT and that is something that's disputed. Even if JDG completed the Golden Road, it wouldn't even have hindred Faker's Goatship but Ruler would definitely claim some well deserved spotlight. However, world needs this win for Faker so bad for multitudes of reason. 1) The newer generation gets to see Faker win and it would be like if Star Wars Episode 7 was actually good and you would understand why old people talked about that franchise. 2) Similar to above, people who got into League later and the only dominance and victory they have seen of Faker and T1 dynasty is in archives. They would want to witness it first hand. 3) Faker and his fans need that seal of approval that he wasn't just lucky and that the game was too early to be mastered when he won it all. That Faker is not only relevant today but is just as dominant. 4) They need to break this final curse that's been going on for quite some years, where they dominate all the stages and choke in finals. 5) Coming so close to victory last year and watching Keria cry, the only consolation was that T1 can actually do it next year and this is the moment. 6) Faker and T1 has not only has been doubted a lot this year, at least after MSI but the fact that Faker was injured and people thought its all over, to the team falling apart without him and coming back together to this spot just makes it hell of a story. 7) T1 and Faker's win would be a special tale, both of dominance and also an underdog story, it would be a no brainer to agree that his 4th would be just as special if not more special than his actual first!
Faker is such a big part of league of legends. I used to play the game and watch esport events, I stopped playing the game but always watch esports and root for t1. Faker has a brand of its own, I don't think there's another more influential league of legends player out there who could match faker.
i stopped playing league 6 months ago after 11 years with the game, but when it comes Worlds i tune in only because of Faker. This chip would cement him as the GOAT of LoL, MJ, Kobe, Brady, Woods, LeBron, he’s joining a very long list of greatest athletes ever
Bengi was such a pillar back then. God, I remember the multiple clutches he pulled off when SKT was in the Finals. I think the T1 now is better than the SKT we saw back in its prime. The problem was last year, and is this year, that Faker has to do all the shot calling alone while also performing. Last year, his performance wasn't too high, but this year he is ALSO performing. I think this specific team will win, and I think, if Faker wants to keep performing, and his team wants to keep going, that they can do a Golden Road next year.
If I could wish for one thing, it would be for them to win this Worlds, then golden road next year. After the perfect story of returning to the top this year, to then be the ONLY player to back to back worlds twice, the ONLY player with 5 championships, the ONLY team to get the golden road. The list of accomplishments would truly stand forever untouchable. The game would die before any other player could even achieve half of what he's done.

It only deviates on the part where the protagonist, Ye Xiu, was forcefully kicked out of his team but was able to create a new one, whereas Faker remained loyal to T1... Hope the donghua's happy ending would be recreated (in real life) by Faker and T1... 4-time world champion...
you guys are trying the hardest to jinx them for 6 years straight now
Fr 💀 I always see them drop a vid before the day of the finals
😂😂 I also noticed that.
it doesnt true anyway
I ve been waiting for a long time. I ve been a fan since late 2015. The last time he was on top was 2016 ...... it is a freaking long time. I now have 2 kids already and still waiting for Faker and skt to win one more world
Same brother same. Feeling really good about this finals for T1 though.
Most pro players just fall off after being at their prime at a certain point, but not Faker. Like, holy shit even after so many years, he's still as competitive as you can expect him to be. How can anyone be this goddamn strong?
his discipline and his consistency is absolutely crazy
He has a retirement plan alr set for him but he still isn’t gonna quite anytime soon either cus he just got exempted for military
He fell off but came back, and if he wins, he truely will be the greatest of all time.
That voice crack from Drakos at 2:18 when Faker went in literally gave me goosebumps.
This man attended 6 world finals, won 3 of them, will be 4 if he wins another one. That's crazy to think when some players only ever dream of a chance to play finals. For NA it's getting out of groups every year
Didn't that already come true cause you know, NRG reaching quarters this year and defeating EU 2-0 to get there?
Fr bud, 8 Worlds appearance and 6 World Finals with 3 Worlds Champ(4 if they win this Sunday) in fckin 10 years. I'm not even talking about his other International and domestic titles. Dude's career is so decorated that other players is literally just competing for that 2nd GOAT spot it's crazy
@@S3tsuna1ya there is absolutely no argument anyone anywhere can make that faker isn't the 🐐 the second place spot would be sooo far behind
Faker will probably have 60% winrste in world's finals😂
@@naderaboulhosn9729 Yep, I remember the apdo vs faker arguments all the time, and sure it was a fair argument.
But at this point, 10 years in, anyone who argues against Faker being the g.o.a.t. is lying to themselves. It'll be another 5-10 years before anyone can even attempt to challenge for #1. And that is assuming Faker doesn't continue to stack accomplishments.
yes. T1 aren't 3-5 wins away from worlds, they are simply 3 wins away.
I think he mean’t to say 3-5 games away from winning but I guess no one double checked the video or the script before uploading this.
I think he meant 3-5 games away.
Its supposed to be 3 out of 5 games not 3 to 5 games
@@sanguinedeserter561 that's literally the same thing, they either play 3 games and go 3-0 or have to play the full 5 games in a 3-2 series, that is what 3-5 games means
RUclips comment cant do match Pepega
3:48 also the casting here is so sick
4:52 the guy has one of the oldest riven combos named after him. He's a legend.
Give the man his 4th World Champion already.
Congratulations to T1 for the 4th championship they deserve it🎉
THEY HAVE DONE IT! T1 IS BACK ON TOP!
We gonna cry this sunday boys. We gonna cry together seeing our king back on his throne
always remember when talking about Fakers worlds wins Bengi was there to be the help from the jungle they needed, not to diminish how great Faker is, but having a person be so intuned with what Faker and the team needed and when is a huge advantage you cant disregard
Heck even Wolf jungled for him in one game.
i am only talking about the finals of worlds here cause even when he was benched he was brought back into the squad for thier last win@@PasserBy869
All Roads Converges at Faker
Keep in mind that just a few months ago, Faker was injured and T1 was at its worst form ever
The fact Faker and T1 recovered from that and emerged World champions prove that T1 is the best team ever and Faker is the GOAT
PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER FAKER VIDEO AGAIN! OMG. 4TH WORLD TITLE ! YOU BETTER DO IT!
Faker giving you another free video. The god blessing every content creators. You can definitely make at least 2 videos on his win. His journey. His little brothers.
i hope faker lift the trophy again with his amazing team 🎉🎉🎉
He did
Faker needs to win this year's worlds
I swear to God. If this was the last year he plays professionally, it would be an absolute GOAT move to win the biggest tournament before he retires.
It nots gonna be his last year he will prob do one or two more years of professionals it’s not worth it for him to retire now when he just got military exemption along with the rest of the Korean team he is gonna at least do two more year of pro league and representing Korea intl at Olympic events
He’s in contract till 2025
My 10yr old ass supporting T1 since 2013 and Im damn well proud I still am a T1 fan up to this date
I'm not going to lie, this finals is going to be legendary. I've played 1 LoL game in my life, and i've never watched a pro game ever. Barely ever even heard of anything outside of Faker. But i'm tuning in with a watch party of other people who have also never watched a game. This is likely the biggest esports match all year simply because the storyline is way too good
I was watching this on youtube live and I knew then and there that we’re finally winning this year
Ngl after stopping the last team going for the golden road, I want t1 to stay together and achieve the golden road
Please god let T1 win this time and last for Faker, retiring as a true goat of league.
Think that this year's worlds especially. T1 weren't exactly the favorites to win, especially against all LPL teams.
-LNG (Sure maybe)
-BLG (Got beaten at MSI)
-JDG (A near perfect team in 2023)
I mean at one point, people didn't even know if T1 would even qualify for worlds and they got thrashed by GenG 3-0 with a close series against KT. But now, they are fkin hungry for that trophy. I hope they won't make the same mistake twice again by underestimating a 4th seed team.
Ye for lng people expected to be a 3-2 series, since lng was really the second seed of the lpl and alway take jdg to 5 games
the fact that its in korea makes it even better, he has to win this time esp against all those lpl team
T1's first worlds win was 10 YEARS AGO and now they have a chance to do it again. Not only is that an amazing storyline, but additionally this amazing T1 roster absolutely deserves a title before sadly disbanding after (most likely) this season (this isnt due to performance though I dont think, I heard that it was due to player salaries on the team being too high [for a single team] by Riot's rules)
Never have I wanted a team to win the title this bad before
I don't play League, but I am very invested in the Faker story.
But what exactly does red and blue teak matter? Is it camera angle? Or is it psychological?
Generally, the blue side picks a champion first, that's the advantage, while the red side picks last, which gives the advantage of picking a counter to that first pick.
Faker got his flash revenge against Ruler and Guma did his promise and crushed Ruler in a 1v2, just love that match
"But Faker ain't human" Shivers down my spine dawg
I think both have their own pros and cons
in league, because the break is long, the teams that ahead in the meta will not getting the full advantage of it, because the preparation is long and opponent will have time to analyze you.
Dota on the other hand because the break between matches is short, will make the teams that ahead of the meta gaining more advantage for the example like TeamSpirit this year and Tundra in 2022
I think if Worlds have the same break as TI, T1 will win it 99℅ because their meta read is superb, but now with 1 week break T1 must thinking again about the meta because opponents can read them from previous matches easily
@@Geheimnis-c2e To be fair, hasn't T1 only done the "double adc" thing like twice?
Unless I'm misremembering.
People never learn their lesson, amount of times "congrats x already won." Is amusing. NEVER underestimate your opponent, but I'm sure T1 won't be doing that.
They need bann aatrox
@@kingsleyekechukwu8229 Ban Maokai every game, they cannot let Oner touch that cursed ass champ.
The plays were so clean, like oner's pixel perfect engages, faker's game bending engage and guma's 1v2. Bloody crazy.
Aa is not targetable ability. He got one lucky flash and thats it. Nothing special about that play
@@azrrrrrrrr okay 😂
@@azrrrrrrrr Dude what?
At point close he repeatedly dodged Rulers attacks, and didn't let 369 land a single knock-up, took Ruler down, then ran down 369.
There half a dozen attacks in the exchange that if he had not avoided would have lost him the fight, and allowed Ruler as Zeri to likely sweep through the team.
Not to mention if you look at the specific inputs he made, and the time frame of the fight. He achieved and APM of at least ~700. Which is beyond insane.
"One lucky flash"

Not named Faker but definitely a demon which would have the unkillable king skin.
Played so much league back then when i was 15 and always cheered for faker.. 10 years later.. Faker is still playing
Damn time flew by
Hope faker wins again.. His name will be forever be known in league community
His name already goes beyond the league community at this point. This guy is one of the GOATs of esports already.
such good VIDEO . WISH T1 all the best in their last match
It'll also be nice to see Faker's world trophies stats edge out Bengi. Pretty ridiculous that those two are considered equal by some just because the trophy cabinet is similar.
im not a t1 fan but this year faker really deserves it
Absolutely not. Dude playes 2 champs and gets shit on every time they play geng
@@azrrrrrrrr In MSI/Summer this year sure. But Overall T1 beats GenG more than not.
Besides summer 2020 & summer 2023, T1 have pretty consistently dominated them since 2019.
Faker became messi in winning the worlds. True goat
GUma and Keria always said Faker was their role model. I strongly believe they are doing their best for him, which is why they are so dominant botlane
Im honestly hardcore cheering for t1 and Faker
If faker actually wins finals, I won’t be surprised if he actually announces that he’ll retire from the pro scene and act more of as a coach for T1.
Flash forward to t1 floundering for the first half of a split and he announces he's coming back to save the team
if he does that i hope he finds a successor
He isn't. He's signed last year as T1 mid laner till 2025. Not to mention last Worlds, his father said that Faker wanted to play even past 30. He also said he wanted to be the Mid starter for the next Asian games in 2027?(not sure what year exactly) since he was still recovering from his broken wrist at the time.
If he retires he will have to serve in the military.
@@destinedtogamehes exempt from military due to his asian games gold medal
Form is "TEMPORARY" FAKER is "FOREVER" 🥶
I hope they win because this specific squad of Zeus, Oner, Faker, Guma, Keria can't just get 2nd place 5 times before breaking up. That would be such a downer to end 2nd again
LCK 2023 Summer - 2nd
LCK 2023 Spring - 2nd
Worlds 2022 - 2nd
LCK 2022 Summer - 2nd

i started playing LoL at the very end of season 2, so season 3 was the first year i watched the pro scene. It was T1's breakout year when Faker impressed the entire world with his skills. I've been a fan of SKT and Faker since then even though i stopped playing league 5 years ago. It would be amazing if Faker wins worlds in 2023 on his 10th year anniversary.
He just did it, please make a video about him.
Something like the rise of the emperor (like Azir's lore) or the Demon king fights back.
Halo: “One flood spore can destroy an entire species!”

Been years since iv been in the lol esports glad to see skt is still a powerhouse 😊
Join the hypetrain again. 2018 and 2020 hurts but this current roster is just insane
Honestly, after watching the actual finals, it felt like JDG Vs. T1 WAS the finals. It was more butt clenching lmao and JDG was actually giving T1 a good fight.
Honestly you guys need to make a video on Caster Jun the absolute GOAT of esports caster that was here from day 1....
Came back here waiting for thescoreports coverage on T1 winning worlds.
well everyone thought it was gonna be geng vs jdg finals so that tells you how reliable "everyone" is.
Last year they uploaded hyping up faker... Faker lost the finals... If he lose again, this is the most cursed channel ever
Fun fact: t1 has never been eliminated from worlds by a LPL team before.
Waiting for theScore for a long ass youtube about Faker's fourth Worlds xD
2024 T1 would be more terrifying thats if zeus and keria decides to stay because the goat coach is back
They won 11-1 LPL
i felt that caster crying man, i was there as well
HE DID IT
Faker's him, he'll do it.
Is not just winning it, Faker is going to his 6 world Finals....in 10 years.
"Faker is only 3-5 wins away"
I guess he meant games.
Also can we say how underrated gumayushi is with his stopwatch play and when dodge ash ult
(similar situation to Sentinels at the start of Valorant Esports)
However, the fact that he can stay competitive for so long within so many changes (both in game and the team around him), the fact that he made T1 a team that is always expected to make a good run at international events (no more, no less) is an achievement on itself.
So we can’t ignore that
he's the induspited GOAT, to say otherwise is cope, if you count it only from 2018, he has won several domestic titles since then, went 18-0 in a regular split, went consistently to semis/finals in international tournaments
No other team/player came close, Damnwon was on the road but they're in the slumps now, domestically only GenG comes close/DWG but factoring in internationally?
he was the GOAT because he won at the time when the game was easy? well if that was the case it was easy for other players as well, those other players are barely playing nowadays, only Scout/Rookie among the old mid laners he has been facing since 2015
Couldn't go back up next 7 years? are you living under a rock, he's been in semis/finals consistently
This chip would cement him as the GOAT of LoL, MJ, Kobe, Brady, Woods, LeBron, he’s joining a very long list of greatest athletes ever
aged like fine wine
Worlds song this year looking prophetic.
Wait, has it been 7 years since Faker's last worlds title? WAS 2016 7 YEARS AGO? WHAT
Faker and T1 = free content for theScore
6:20 I have, GenG vs BLG was 94.5% in favour on GenG...
