Glad everything went okay will yall. Being a deputy I was put on night shift and worked during the worst part of the storm. We had some pretty big gusts of wind in St. Augustine between 10pm and 3 am.
I’m so thankful your family is ok. We lost everything from hurricane Irene in NJ many years ago at this point. My ❤always go out to anyone dealing with the anxiety of a storm
Glad you and the kids safely went through that storm. Prepping is always the way to go, I’m a food hoarder anyway, my freezers and pantry looks like a grocery store, just in case, lol. Glad to hear your good
Catching up on all RUclips videos (Monday, October 14th) after Milton knocked out our power here in Tampa Bay for 4 days. Glad to see you all made it through okay. Other than losing power, Hubby & I fine as is our house & car. Prayers to all who did not fare well & hope recovery will come soon.
My husband and I live in Dunedin, FL, a small town near Clearwater Beach. We have been at a hotel in the Disney Springs area since last Monday running from Milton. We were able to go home Friday and confirm our home is okay (thank goodness our pool didn't overflow). We lost electricity to our home Wednesday around 7pm and still have no power. We work remotely so we extended our stay and remain at Disney Springs. Hopefully, we will be able to return home in the next couple of days. It's definitely been a stressful week.
Hey Guys ❤ I am so thankful to hear you were all safe after Hurricane Milton struck Tampa and the surrounding regional area. I can't imagine what it must be like to experience such destructive storms being in Australia. Sending you love and prayers 🙏🏿💜 Flash
Glad you are all okay. We are in Fort Myers and have shutters on all the windows. The wind was awful. We lost power 9:30 PM to 3:30 AM. Lots of tree branches down but thankfully no structural damage.
I was so surprise we didn’t lose power either in Lake Nona. Glad your home didn’t get any damage. Our neighbor had a tree go down in their car, luckily missed the house.
Happy you guys are alright. I met you briefly in January at festival of the arts and I wear my addicted to the mouse pin you gifted me on my park backpack with pride. I live in socal so we don’t have this kind of natural disaster but this time of year we often deal with wild fires and earthquakes. During my brief time in the DFW I learned what tornadoes were like as I’m sure you did in Oklahoma. It’s not fun. At least earthquakes sneak up on you and the fires, well… they’re awful. I work in Malibu and we’ve been shut down for days because of them. Nature is a tricky beast and it sounds like you all did everything possible to handle it. I hope the rest of the affected folks can recover quickly. Hope to meet you again in Disney World. Thank you for sharing with us so we can live vicariously. It means more than you know.
Omg I thought you guys just had a cat also I am glad you guys are safe we were doing also ok we were in Clermont FL we got a lot of leaves and branches on the floor we also lost power as well but luckily we had a power generator but glad you guys are safe also I love listening to your podcasts!!! Keep it up! Much love and support! 🤟🏻❤️🎃
Glad you guys were ok. Do you think you'll ever get use to the hurricanes and sleep through them or does everyone stay up in case you need to evacuate. Sorry of a stupid question, from the UK and never had to contend with this extreme weather.
Not a stupid question at all! Not sure we will ever sleep soundly through them, but feel pretty confident with the weather sources we have here and listen to them pretty closely.
I was going to ask if you guys put Dexter and Thea in crate/carrier to keep them “corralled” in case you needed to hang out in a safe space but I guess not - Dexter proved when you gotta go you gotta go!
I've been in South Florida for 20 years, and we just experienced our first tornado. Considering how our homes are built in FL, I'm more comfortable with a hurricane any day! Did you go through many tornadoes in OK?
We had one hit our house a couple years before we moved. It did way more damage than Milton, but it wasn’t widespread. I’m with you - I’d rather deal with hurricanes
Don’t drain your pool too low during a hurricane they can pop up out of the ground and yes, the concrete ones. I’m not talking about the fiberglass ones.

Living on the South Carolina Coast we know all too well that a hurricane is serious business. Glad you guys made it through ok.

lol, yeah we throw a Thunder shirt on him when he gets antsy, but he did okay
i'd really love to move to orlando, but this reminds me of why i prefer staying in california...and not directly on a fault line of course...

Yeah we know, but thank you for the reminder
