I'm more mad at Batman. Yes, The Ice Princess was stupid, and she could easily have saved herself by hopping off (the distance between the ledge and the roof wasn't very high at all). But that's the point. She was *stupid* . Batman's meant to be smart, but he didn't do his job, which is to protect everyone, no matter who they are, and how stupid.

Michelle Pfeiffer is amazing in this movie. The costume is great too. Easily the best Catwoman ever and IMO the best female performance in any superhero movie ever, including Wonder woman, etc. The costume designers had a moment of brilliance and she just killed it. Not afraid to be feminine and very sexy, but she was intimidating and scary at the same time. Just perfect and probably the most underrated movie comic book villain.

Keaton's voice is underrated as hell. It's always Conroy this, Conroy that, but Keaton had the perfect Bat-voice in Batman Returns and obviously influenced future Batman actors. You know, you're allowed to appreciate and praise aspects of a take(the acting, dialogue, music, production design, etc) even if you don't like the overall take.
I always loved Keaton as Batman. The voice, the portrayal, the overall demeanor of him DEEP in thought. Bale was the first one I saw in the theater, but I was just a kid. Had no idea what the themes were, but even still, I didn't like his performance that much back then. I do appreciate Bale's performance, but Keaton is better to me. Not everything has to be ultrarealistic. SOME realism is necessary, but too much makes us forget what we are watching. Also, loved the Keaton Batsuits. HEad movement may have been restricted, but still were great suits.
Conroy was indeed influenced by Keaton at the beginning, though he also took inspiration from his own struggles and experiences to make it truly his own. So yeah, respect for Keaton. He was literally the first, save for Adam West and his beautifully campy 60's take. When it came to more gothic and 'dark' Batman, he is the OG.

Bale is transparent, the soundtrack is miles away from the quality and epicness of Elfman’s even though the main theme is really good, Gotham is just plain Chicago/New York etc. so in terms of iconography and cinematography it’s just pale in comparison. When the T-Rex knocks the tourist car into that very same enclosure, the forrest became a dam. Spielberg later on admitted he was made aware of the error during the editing phase of the movie. He didn't care because it still made for an exciting sequence... It was. 👍
Best part of this movie is Batman and Catwoman . One thing I notice about this movie is that even though Gotham city’s design looks great it kinda feels empty in comparison to the city in Batman . It feels smaller in scale sometimes . Gotham in Batman looks like a real city while in return it looks like a set and the same location for most of the movie Maybe that was intentional. still a great set design .
As much as I love Bo Welch’s design of Gotham City in Returns, it would be even better if it was built outdoors. This way, there could be natural sky lighting. Especially in day scenes, which looks like a shopping mall

Later in the movie Batman would give the Penguin a taste of his own medicine by killing him the same way he killed the ice princess: Using a horde of bats to cause him to fall to his death.

When the T-Rex breaks out of the enclosure, there is clearly a forrest behind him. When the T-Rex knocks the tourist car into that very same enclosure, the forrest became a dam. Spielberg later on admitted he was made aware of the error during the editing phase of the movie. He didn't care because it still made for an exciting sequence... It was. 👍

Best part of this movie is Batman and Catwoman . One thing I notice about this movie is that even though Gotham city’s design looks great it kinda feels empty in comparison to the city in Batman . It feels smaller in scale sometimes . Gotham in Batman looks like a real city while in return it looks like a set and the same location for most of the movie Maybe that was intentional. still a great set design .
As much as I love Bo Welch’s design of Gotham City in Returns, it would be even better if it was built outdoors. This way, there could be natural sky lighting. Especially in day scenes, which looks like a shopping mall

Deformed at birth, abandoned and almost killed by his parents as an infant, raised by penguins and underground carny folk, and exhibited as a circus freak. Despite all that, Batman still beat him up and bullied him, treating him not as a human-being, but as little more than "an ugly little bird-man with fish breath." Where was the humanity? :(

I have no idea how people say Anne Hathways Catwoman is better? Its actually laughable Michelle’s acting, costume and characterisations are better by a landslide. She brought the character to life in every sense without it feeling corny which is difficult to do in a tim burton film. A masters class in acting for women
