It is so refreshing to watch a video where the presenter doesn’t preach about what you should do/must do/the only correct course of action, but calmly explains their rationale and then invites you to create your own. Great job, thanks
Man I love this channel. Just started a nursing career and have always planned on doing some street photography specifically in Tokyo , there's just no other city like it. I'm so glad I found this niche channel lol. I plan on doing some yearly trips!
The first question hits right at home. I feel uninspired and it’s too hot outside therefore just stay home. It’s so sad because winter is coming and not much sunny good light for my kind of style. Big event coming up with a lot of people so I’ll be ready with my griii. Thank you for this.
I only recently found out about your channel and videos, about a couple of months ago, and I already love them. Keep it up, man. Love your photography!
Thanks!! I haven't picked up the new Z primes yet. On my D4 I use to use a Voigtlader 40mm f/2 and Nikon 28mm f/1.4E. I can still use them on the Z6II of course. I am eager to eventually get the new Nikon 40mm Z pancake that's coming out soon. I hope it's as good as my old Voigtlander! :)
I've seen it! Lovely movie. It moves so slowly and just puts your in the MOOD of the world it paints. Amazing. I also loved 'Nobody Knows' ('Daremo Shiranai') from the same director.
@@EYExplore Omgg I love you 😭 I love Kore-eda, and that is also one of my favourites. It's gut wrenching. Still Walking is another great one made by him. Have you seen it?
On the question of correcting perspective, if one was using a large format camera, that would be a normal part of the process and nobody would question the validity of doing it. I would think anything that ‘corrects’ what is ‘wrong’ in an image that our brains re-work to see properly is all good (all that information is ‘there’ in the image as opposed to adding or removing elements to the image).
It's possible to sell them as stock photography, but that's about it. It is also possible to get hired to do photography that is 'like' street photography in style, usually for commercial work or sometimes editorial.
I live in Japan , the problem with Tokyo is that the light is horrible! Tokyo light is garbage! That’s why many people shoot at night with neon lights! The cities are very dirty and everywhere looks the same and the cities colour and Shapes is very random. Not really the best place for street photographers

Happy to hear you appreciate that! I hope to empower people to think for themselves through these videos, so I'm glad it comes across! :)

Yeah, it can happen anywhere! :)

Great content! What’s your favorite prime lens for travel and street for the Z6ii?

you should watch Maborosi! It's my favourite film and it got me into photography!!

Question: country or city street you like best? Knowing there different in some ways That should be a tough one.. meaning like Nagano compare to Osaka
Well for me it's gotta be city. But sometimes I get out into the countryside as well. :)

This is basically how I think about it, which is why I don't hesitate to do it digitally. :)
I have a late question: do you know any good place in Japan that performs a gentle sensor cleaning on the Ricoh GRII?
Unfortunately, I don't. I imagine the Ricoh center in Ginza might have more info on that. I was actually thinking of getting my GR II serviced a well.
@@EYExplore I was in Ginza for 5 days last week, and I just spotted some dust in the sensor the last day, already heading to Yokohama LOL
@@dansuzukiphotography Next time! :)
I shoot with a Canon 1D Mark iii. Just wanted to share. I’m very happy about it.
That's a great camera!! :)
@@EYExplore if you think it’s great, it must be great. 😌 thanks!
Hey Lukasz, will you be doing any workshops in Europe in the near future?
Not likely, unfortunately, as travel is tricky these days, but perhaps in late 2022!
@@EYExplore yeah I thought so, I'll keep my fingers crossed
Is there a market for street photography other than self-published books, calendars, etc.?
It's possible to sell them as stock photography, but that's about it. It is also possible to get hired to do photography that is 'like' street photography in style, usually for commercial work or sometimes editorial.
Are you wearing a Hawkeye shirt?!
Maybe. I bought it at a second-hand store in Tokyo years ago. I guess it's Iowa State University or something?
where are you from exactly?
hello from Śląsk.
I was born in Tarnów. :)
The sound cuts off in some spots, or is it just me?
Can you let me know which spots? I didn't notice anything when I rendered the video but didn't check again after uploading.
@@EYExplore My bad, false alarm.

I totally disagree! I shoot in the day time also and the light is gorgeous, of course not every day. But this is just my opinion of course. :)
