That looks epic. Having holidayed there, I've thought Dead to Red would be fun! I see you weren't on the main road throughout. Would the roads you travelled be suitable for a road bike? Oh I've just seen the sand section :)
Hi Mark, most of the off road sections were before Wadi Rum and of course then in Wadi Rum. The first days were mainly tarmac, the off road sections we took there you could bypass on other roads. With a road bike you need to stick to tarmarc, with a Gravel or MTB you are more flexibel. But it also depends on your style of travel, if you prefer long days with >100km or take it more easy. I personally really enjoyed the off road sections, the desert, the landscabe was incredible!
