............you can be very proud of your country, I love it, the media tells us things they don't know, just like the kindness of your people....this video is great and shows us that it's superb... ..peace be with you .....bernard of strasbourg 🙏🙏🙏
Whenever I see a video of someone biking though the desert, I always have the same questions about water. How much water did you have to carry, and how frequently did you encounter places to refill?
I love the videos brother! You have convinced me to build my own custom belt drive bike. The frame is a steel frame from Bombtrack called Outlaw. It will run 650b paired with a Rohloff 500/14. I normally took my Kona unit hardtail and would swap put the fork depending on trip. I have decided to finally take the plunge and go belt.
Alee this is a real pearler of a video, mate it easy to see why you rave about the scenery.👍👍. I see you have a kick stand on your Koga, good lad👍👍. Saves the paint work and keeps sand out of your paniers, but your mate doesn't have one, naughty girl why?? A lightweight idea that works well to stop your kick stand disappearing in the sand (and mud). Cut a piece of ply or 10mm custom wood 150mm square, Araldite (or bolt) a plastic water bottle top in the centre. Pop this under your kick stand in loose sand and your bike won't fall over. Being light I keep mine under a strap on my rear rack - convenient. How would touring on a 20" folding bike with 50mm wide tyres and an 11 speed Shimano Alfine hub and Gates drive with seat suspension go for touring in Jordan. Works quite well on Cambodia's dirt roads. Keep up the great work on these videos mate. I'll donate as soon as I'm clear of these current stroke probs I have.
Laura's kickstand broke pretty much the day we started filming. She got a new one straight away, but she was so sad while it was no longer there. It's impossible to go back...
You've brought back such happy memories of last autumn when I was in Jordan, albeit touring with a coach party. Really looking forward to your further adventures in the Middle East!
Thanks couple rider . marvelous n amazing place . Wonderful land just like alien land. Great -2 journey by manual power. Canyons so beautiful. Love this place. Want to visit such a beautiful place. But no money. I seen this vedio feel like I m still there wandering there. Thanks very much. What a filmise. ❤
Beautiful video!! Thank you for sharing this video and thank you for visiting Palestine in your journey! You are most welcome to come visit us again at any time
I found that when approaching the territory of an aggressive dog that is "apparently" confined behind a fence watch for this tell: If, instead of pacing you along the length of the fence, the dog races ahead and along the fence line, there's a very good chance the dog is heading to an exit ahead 😬 so check ahead and be prepared🙂
For the places you HAD to stay (like established camps and all), did you find them authentic, or touristy? I'm a bit reminded of a place I stayed in Morocco, that was really set up for tourists and you could tell the locals weren't being themselves, but playing a character that Westerners expected. It was disappointing (Though I get it's a business/way to make a living).
Incredible film! It is always nice to see something on a bicycle. I have one doubt, how do you ensure the security of your bike and stuff in such trips as well as in places like the heritage sites?
A spectacular video of a fantastic trip. Any dog problems? A bikepacker Katrin Hollendung youtube’d frequent and very unpleasant dog problems, which keeps me from turning the handlebar in the direction.
Can you provide some insights how you protected/ prepared your bikes for all that sand? Doesn’t it increase the wear dramatically on brakes, drivetrain etc?
Beautiful scenery, and a wonderful trip! Where did you find the music for this video? Much of it sounded very Arabic, and it went perfectly with the landscapes.
I broke the Ortlieb handlebar bag cable halfway through! The first one I've ever broken, but I did pull this one off an old bike, so I can only blame myself. 😅
Hello Alee! That was a beautiful film of the Jordan bike trail and your adventure. I am curious about the cost of these trips and any details related to cost. Maybe a range (low- high) or budget you estimate, and then what is spent on food, lodging, etc. Can you please offer some guidance. Always Enthusiastic, Troy :)
The cost is whatever you want it to be. $5 per day, $20 per day, $400 per day! We were probably spending $10-20 on food per day and a hotel every 4 days for $40-50. Pretty economical.
The theory when riding a bike; someone told me this; Serious Cyclists have a bad crash about every 10,000 miles. I have had two major (had to go to the hospital) bike crashes in my lifetime of cycling so far. My ongoing witness from the INNER FOLD? A lot of them are reckless and STUPID.
I really love your videos. One thing i would find very cool, is if you did a video where you go more in debth on the kindernay gearboxes. Dont know if it would be necessary but they are a cool product i think.
(((((( amazing and wonderful country with these friendly people .... amazing what you two are doing and i'm going to subscribe it's worth it....thank you and greetings from strasbourg 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗....................it's true that we should take a tour of these countries and not believe what these media tell us because everything is false and lies, these people are really superb .... what more can I say.... )))))
Another incredible video. Jordan has been on my bucket list and after your video it has moved up the list. I would definitely consider using my fat tire for that ride. Thanks for the great video and I look forward to your videos of Egypt, Israel, and Saudi Arabia.
Fabulous! So well filmed! Beautiful and informative. We so enjoyed watching your film. We are tandem cycle veterans (experienced AND old 😅) and just now I am crocked up in bed, recovering from hysterectomy and planning our next trip… Jordan seems so stunning! The only thing is we just couldn’t manage most of the off track bits on our tandem. How much could we do on paved roads? Wishing you continuing beautiful travels xxx
Would love to hear an update on how both bikes are handling all the different terrain and the miles especially the priority 600x The koga is definitely built for what you're doing I would guess no one has as many miles on the priority 600x as you all do
As usual, your videos were very interesting and informative to watch. My wifey and I(seniors), sat down and watched this one about Jordan and it was good. We are very happy that you have someone to ride and share your day to day experiences as well. Keep up the great work.!
So glad you’re back on the road again! I was thinking of doing a non-biking trip, and Jordan was one of the overland walks I was considering! It seems very doable!
Hi Ali, you have awesome videos, and a great story telling style. I just watched one of your video's were you bicycled with a lady called Ish. She had a real budget setup, but she seemed very happy with it. I too have a budget setup, honestly speaking, do I need all the bell's and whistles to do a long bicycle tour ? Kind regards, Neil.
What were the distances between water re-supply points like? I am surprise of how little water the two of you appear to be carrying. I am assuming you are doing this trip in the winter to avoid the heat but still I would assume the dry climate still sucks the water out of your body. Some of those road stretch looks not well travelled given the lack of cars on some of the stretches you filmed. Amazing adventure!
Nice video of the “best” part of the JBT. I rode it in 2019 and this brought back a lot of great memories of exploring Petra and Wadi Rum. I’m just wondering what happened to the footage of the other 3/4 of the trail Alee?!
I hope you had fun in my country, Jordan. I am one of your followers, and I love touring on a bicycle. Be an inspiration to your followers.
............you can be very proud of your country, I love it, the media tells us things they don't know, just like the kindness of your people....this video is great and shows us that it's superb... ..peace be with you .....bernard of strasbourg 🙏🙏🙏
Your Country looks amazing!
Whenever I see a video of someone biking though the desert, I always have the same questions about water. How much water did you have to carry, and how frequently did you encounter places to refill?
Never more than 4 litres each. We could re-fill at least twice a day in Jordan.
Beautiful bikepacking video super 🏕️🚵♂️🚴♀️🌞❤️👍
Thanks for sharing an awesome trip! I live in Arizona and love the desert landscape, but there are many people who find it ugly...
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME VIDEO!!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Look forward to the next one.
Avid fan here. Stay safe always! Love your content it inspires other riders to start their own adventures!!
Thank you so much for sharing 👏👏👏
Amazing content as always 🤘❤️🤘
Another amazing video. This area looks so spectacular. Thank you for sharing it with us
how is that possible to comment 7 days ago when the video is out for 2 hours? :O
My videos are available one week early on Patreon.
Thank you for bringing us along on your journey! That was amazing. Your skills at capturing the history and landscape are outstanding.
Did not know there are camels on Mars.
Very interesting. Some things I never knew. You guys are great ambassadors.
What a video, what an inspiration!! Thank you!!
I thought I was watching the national geographic you are the Man incredible and beautiful video good description I love it ❤

Wow, loved the film. Thanks for sharing. Very inspiring.
Well done and thank you one more time.
Every pedal scene you show us, we can imagine we are traveling with you on all these beautiful places.
Great video! The scenery is definitely not my cup of tea.😂
You've brought back such happy memories of last autumn when I was in Jordan, albeit touring with a coach party.
Really looking forward to your further adventures in the Middle East!
Wow what an incredible place to visit on two wheels. Thanks for sharing!
From Denmark: Good to see you on the saddle again, taking us along on your journey.🙏
Thanks for Sharing this Journey🇵🇭
Absolutely incredible!!! I'm retired and ready would like to bike tour in the middle east. You folks really lit a fire for me to GO.
Thanks couple rider . marvelous n amazing place . Wonderful land just like alien land. Great -2 journey by manual power. Canyons so beautiful. Love this place. Want to visit such a beautiful place. Anyday a Cyclingabout video comes out is a good day. Thanks for sharing your adventure!

Thanks Serry! Cannot wait to come back one day.

intresting route :) nice one to make a loop with the Israel Trail one for the bucket list :)
Such a unique and beautiful landscape framed in such an inviting style in terms of music, calming voice, and positive energy. Thank you both!
Did you guy have issues with the priority bike?
Great video and good to see you both touring. Just an FYI, did you both know that was camel meat?
Good stuff, thx. Yr vids kind of special, so warm, positive, informative, real, very entertaining! All the best and thx again
AMAZING! immediately going on the spreadsheet of rides to do.
Great Video as always. Planning to visit Europe? There is great cycle trail in Poland called Vistula1200 - 1200 km along Vistula river.
Beautiful video! I loved the music! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Jorden, it looks so interesting for cycling about.
Great trip, thanks for sharing!!

Incredible film! It is always nice to see something on a bicycle. I have one doubt, how do you ensure the security of your bike and stuff in such trips as well as in places like the heritage sites?
We usually leave our bikes at hotels, restaurants or with the hosts we stay with.
A spectacular video of a fantastic trip. Any dog problems? A bikepacker Katrin Hollendung youtube’d frequent and very unpleasant dog problems, which keeps me from turning the handlebar in the direction.
Awesome as always, what countries in Europe are you planning to visit next?
Not sure yet!
So stunning! What a great video!
What an amazing adventure! Neat perspective of Jordan. Must try to visit one day
Can you provide some insights how you protected/ prepared your bikes for all that sand? Doesn’t it increase the wear dramatically on brakes, drivetrain etc?
We didn't do any preparation as dry sand is not hard on a bike. Wet sand though... best to avoid that if you can!
Thank you for this amazing episode.
I like how you describe the hills as cakes. When I am hungry, many objects look like food to me, and it is amusing, like seeing shapes in the clouds.
Beautiful scenery, and a wonderful trip! Where did you find the music for this video? Much of it sounded very Arabic, and it went perfectly with the landscapes.
Thanks! I licence the music from Soundstripe and just look for songs that fit the mood I want to create.
What happened to your handlebar bag Alee? Another excellent video 🎉
I broke the Ortlieb handlebar bag cable halfway through! The first one I've ever broken, but I did pull this one off an old bike, so I can only blame myself. 😅
The king way of Jordan is even older than Petra and according to the bible the Hebrew used it before entering the land of Kenan.
Awesome as usual! Warms me up while waiting for the season to start.

Super trip. Was in Jordan for a week hiking last October, its on my short list to go back and cycle there. Thanks for the GPX file link!

Jordan amazing country for cycling! Did trip one year ago there!
Thanks for uploading gpx. I really appreciate it.
No problem! People always like to see where everything was filmed. 😎
I’ve been curious about the dead to red route which connects the two seas.
I really love your videos. One thing i would find very cool, is if you did a video where you go more in debth on the kindernay gearboxes. Dont know if it would be necessary but they are a cool product i think.
Your best video yet. What tire sizes did you use and what tire sizes would you recommend for Wadi Rum? Can it be done 700C x 47mm?
And Indiana Jones.👍
Desert, next must be the snow riding ))) Такі гарні місця а скрізь сміття порозкидано, голівуд мабуть спочатку прибирав там шоб відзняти фільм.
really you did not eat from that underground meat? if the quality on the western world is a problem, this meat was top noch. Sad if you did not eat...
I love these videos so much! So jealous!!!
can you please not add the stupid subscribe button on the right hand lower corner in the future
im subscribed an its annoying AF

Nice videos!
How much weight are your bikes rated to carry, all inclusive?
Man you’re going for the most barren places now, the outback now this. What’s next, Kyrgyzstan? The Sahara?
Currently in Saudi Arabia - heading for Europe though!
Another incredible video. Jordan has been on my bucket list and after your video it has moved up the list. I would definitely consider using my fat tire for that ride. Thanks for the great video and I look forward to your videos of Egypt, Israel, and Saudi Arabia.
Thanks guys, I needed that, incredible scenery on an epic route
Thank you another great video. Its certainly got me thinking about riding it.
Starwars, Dune and ... Aladin?!! They can' stay in pne raw!)
This trail is definitley now on my list, Thanks for sharing your adventure.
When they offered you a full cup its a good sign. A half cup means u should be going soon.
The Middle East is really a very beautiful part of the world ❤
The people are spicy though.
@@QOOQ8808 well I quite like spicy too 😁🌶️🌶️🌶️
Juste à amazing video WOW!! This is right in our top 3 to do list. Thank you so much for sharing.
Such a shame its not in 4K, it would look amazing on the TV

Thanks! The entire King's Highway route is paved and will take you to many amazing sights.
That's were they filmed the moon landing.. LOL
this is mars???
u should vesit algeria sahara,u gonna change ur opinion
Do you recommend a cargo bike for Touring? And why?
Great video, did you guys rent bikes there or did you bring your own?
Would love to hear an update on how both bikes are handling all the different terrain and the miles especially the priority 600x
The koga is definitely built for what you're doing
I would guess no one has as many miles on the priority 600x as you all do

So are you in Petra really early or in the summer to avoid crowds?
How is the pinion gear? Is the bike Priority or another brand?
Did this journey by tour bus recently 😔. So wish I could have done it by bike, you’ve experienced so much more. Thank you.
Amazing video.
What bike is she riding?
Looks like a Priority 600x.
Amazing video, the best
So glad you’re back on the road again! I was thinking of doing a non-biking trip, and Jordan was one of the overland walks I was considering! It seems very doable!

Kind regards, Neil.
Absolutely not. We sometimes meet people travelling on bikes that have been found discarded on the side of the road.
Hi Ali, thanks for your reply, and the boost of confidence that you have given me.
Kind regards, Neil
Wow, wish I could ride there!

Some of those road stretch looks not well travelled given the lack of cars on some of the stretches you filmed.
Amazing adventure!
Twice per day for water. The Jordan Bike Trail website has the main water stops listed, and we found many more (mosques all have drinking water).
Nice video of the “best” part of the JBT. I rode it in 2019 and this brought back a lot of great memories of exploring Petra and Wadi Rum. I’m just wondering what happened to the footage of the other 3/4 of the trail Alee?!
I just enjoyed the other 3/4. Filming takes a huge amount of time and energy.
How do your pannier straps/mounts not break off on rowdy dirt/gravel road descents?
They are made well, I guess. I rarely break anything on my panniers/racks.
Incredible video. Even though this is a bike channel, this video is better then most of the travel vlogs videos about Jordon!
Amazing that you two are able ride such a long distance on an unpaved hilly path on a bike without an electric assist motor.
As always, the most beautiful, enjoyable and informative travel videos to find (for free!) on the internet ❤
Does green koga have 27.5 or 700c wheels. Which do you prefer?
27.5” for me. I usually need the widest possible tyre so that I can float across the soft terrain I regularly encounter.
I don't understand why you don't use cleats.
Amazing journey! Thanks for sharing. Love the channel.
