What I like about your videos, is you show a variety of things, planting, growing, harvesting, even what the produce is for ( jams etc)..wildlife, making tea, that fantastic milk bottle, and I also seen a nice horse and carriage passing..really enjoyed the video..Thanks :-)
Hello Katie thanks for sharing your beautiful plot with us I'm always intrigued to see what new ideas your busy with. The wheelbarrow reminded me of a child's story called Teddy bear gardener I read to my son and his went "Bumpty squeak bumpty squeak" and the squeak is just how I had in my head. I guess you live close to the abbey sometimes nature is aching beautiful and so exquisite you just smile.l too am growing one pickling cucumber I put it at the end of the runner beans and made it a lattice to grow up fingers crossed for both of us! Cheerio Jeni.
Hi Katie, I just wanted to say how much I've been enjoying your allotment diaries. I've recently taken on a 5rod plot in May , it's lovely to see a young lady who is into growing her own food too. Your plot is looking fantastic, I love your feminine touches and how you've really made it your own little sanctuary ps. I have ordered myself a Kelly kettle after seeing yours ! Looking forward to your next video :-)
Lovely video...as usual. You have a very relaxing presentation style which makes your videos very enjoyable. Well done on the potatoes, that was a decent haul. Best Wishes, Brendan.
Katie: Its so nice to see you enjoying the bounty of earth such a fine time. I just planted my garden here in California in my 16x 40 ft green house. really enjoyed that time as you do tomatos, onions chives, beets salad cantaloupes. WE must be like spirits. BYE :O)
Gherkin is a cucumber variety and as such, they will lose a lot of their early blossoms. As the vines get longer, the blooms will produce fruit. Good luck on your gardens.
Nice potatoes Katie, my first lot wasn't at all impressive. I tried carrots again as well, so far nothing, I hope you have better luck this go around. It's always lovely to see you and your Dad.
Hi Kate, one of your best videos, lots going on and harvesting too. It's a pity about the busy road being so close by but I guess you don't notice it once you're engrossed in your work on the plot. You're dad's leeks are looking good too, and well weeded. I have been using lots of mulch like wood chip and leaf mould as a weed deterrent but it's backfired somewhat as it seems to harbour the slug and snails who are decimating everything green except the weeds. Yet another challenge to overcome!!!! Take care, John
Hi Katie! Enjoying your videos very much. It's lovely to see you and your dad on the same site working together. Where did you get your wind-break type screen to protect your carrots? I have been improvising with netting, bamboo canes and clothes pegs but it's very time consuming to dismantle and re-assemble when weeding! Thanks from Roz in Lancashire
I enjoyed listening to the horse(s) passing by while you were planting the carrots. Is that usual? You didn't pause so I assume it must happen regularly!
Thanks, I work in the vintage trade so I'm always finding something in markets and fairs :) Unfortunately we're not allowed chickens otherwise I would have definitely had some, although I think a bigger plot would have been needed!
Hey, what about the pheasant!? Nobody has mentioned the pheasant yet. Was it wild? They can be raised. Does someone near the allotment raise pheasants? He didn't seem to mind you filming him. He didn't seem to mind you at all!
Hi K, did you boil those jars when you got home? If not, did you put them in the fridge? Just learning the basics of canning right now... Great video by the way!
Does anybody know where I can get sweetcorn plugs or plants online? I REALLY want to grow it this year. Is it too late to sow a really early variety? Thanks for your help!
hi do you sew your own jeans to fit that well? your garden and fashion with flowers in your hair make a great statement. very sophisticated, please don't take it the wrong way just a yakes way..

Hi Katie Love Your Videos so Professional

Our village is still rather small hence the tiny allotment site so we do often get tractors and horses going past
Great vid
nice, love all your old bits and bobs my garden is full of them from car boots and junk shops, can you have hens on your plot ?
Thanks, I work in the vintage trade so I'm always finding something in markets and fairs :) Unfortunately we're not allowed chickens otherwise I would have definitely had some, although I think a bigger plot would have been needed!

Nice potato harvest.
I think your door handle needs a bit of attention though.
Cheers, Dan.
Thanks:)
Haha, It's removable which is why it isn't secured into the shed!

Hi Katie , for goodness sake do put on a pair of gardening glove to protect your hands at least from the soil
Does anybody know where I can get sweetcorn plugs or plants online? I REALLY want to grow it this year. Is it too late to sow a really early variety?
Thanks for your help!
You’re father seems like a nice man.
How do you make your brassica cage?
shoot a drone footage of your allotment and add it to your intro video ... it will be cool
Have been saying this for the past year but can't afford a drone! :)
