Don't forget the country is totally built on "outer show" be it cosplays and funky merch... "All those glitters are not gold"
My country, India might be overpopulated, have unclean roads and unhygienic atmosphere, but what out sacred scriptures like Gita and Vedanta gave was pure knowledge about humanity and self realisation. Most people in Japan suffer depression because at a point of time those lights and decorations won't have any value, and your heart would cry when the realisation of life will dawn closer.
