    Hey Travis. In over 30 years of collecting Scalextric cars this Jaguar would be in the top 3 best cars Scalextric have ever made.

    Would have loved one of these to complete my Bathurst collection! Wish we could get these in the uk!

    Yes mate. Back in those days they used fuel churns to fill the car in pit stops.

    The new Scalextric GT4 Mustang & BTCC BMW 330i have the car/ manufacturer emblems cut into the chassis as well. I think the Batmobile has the Batman logo cut into the chassis.

    After I saw your initial showing of this car being released I phoned my local hobby shop to confirm they were in stock then went and purchased a few on Saturday.
    On the subject of Scalextric in line gear ratios.
    It is very rare for any Scalextric in line from the past fifty of more years not to be geared 9:27.

    Hey Travis, I believe you can get a digital chip for carerra track to fit that car, not positive but pretty sure. Check it out.

    Brilliant review, thank you!
    This one has been on my shopping list. I loved Group A racing in Australia and the Jaguar was one of my favourites.
    This livery is superb but the black Motul livery release is a beautiful model as well.
    It’s so good to see the slot car industry producing models that many of us have an affinity with :)

    Can you please explain the magnetic downforce reading you measure?
    Is that just the magnetic effect of the motor on the track, exclusive of the bar magnet?

    • @thatslotcarguy
      @thatslotcarguy  3 года назад +1

      It's the magnetic downforce created by the motor only when spinning

    Love your test track Travis!!! That inline seemed loud. I know most Scalextric we run at Tailspin Hobby that are sidewinders tend to be that loud. I Thanks for another great review!!!

    Great review, the Jaguar looks marvelous. The SRC magnetic downforce reader is a game changer. Keep up the good work .

    Cool video
    So the 32 grams is a combo of the motor and the magnetic strip correct?
    Is the aerial still that solid plastic that breaks easy or have they changed it ?

    • @thatslotcarguy
      @thatslotcarguy  3 года назад

      Negative it only measure the motors magnetic force.
      I have placed it on the device without the motor running and no reading at all
