- The 2nd chapter begins! Woke up feeling amazing and ready to kick butt. Starting month 2 with some fire! Had a great sleep by river, I'm out of water and devices need to be charged. Walked .5 miles off trail to Kent’s Grocery which I swear has to be in a movie. Bland Virginia is the town and I was eating a steak and egg biscuit with chocolate milk and a root beer with all the local regulars, it was a hoot. Then left listening to last of the Mohicans and was ready to chase down a bear! So stoked! Got the moxie flowing in the veins! Amazing day, gorgeous, great views, body is doing amazing. Wish I could’ve stayed on the ridge for sunset/sunrise but tent sites were occupied so I’m at the church hostel! Amazing hot shower and sooo much food! Thanks Twig!

@@stoner_pinky talked to a friend who lives there. He knows all those guys. We used to hang glide off that mountain south of there. Would spend the night at the house across the street from there. It was a party house back then
I live about 20 miles from bland been in that store a many a time over the years. I hope you kept pushing

You gonna be affected by Hurricane Helene and all the flooding or are you far enough past all that that you’re good to go?
@@costanzaman42 thankfully passed through before all of that and my home in Tennessee is safe on a hill, just no water for the week. But praying for everyone involved with the flooding
