The tragic story of losing Charlie in Quackity's quest for glory is something I'm always so emotional about. Seeing that I'm not crazy and that other people feel just as strongly about it is super reassuring haha. Thank you so much for taking the time to make the masterpiece that is Lonely King, it's a jaw dropping tribute to the story

You can really tell how proud and passionate he is about this project as he reviews it to us. When Charlie makes stuff like this, in the end, it’s so admirable how much he puts into his art. I just love that very much.
Honestly, I don't watch Quackity. I never have, and I doubt I ever will.
But Lonely King has to be one of the greatest songs I have ever heard. The amount of effort put into it is obvious and the time you put into it is genuinely incredible. Thank you for pushing through and especially for dealing with all the impatient comments. I can't imagine how frustrating that must have been. Love the song, and can't wait to hear more :)

Dude, this song really touched me, the score, the lyrics, all of them. When you said "emotions that you don't feel in a long time" this song actually made me feel something, and was pure and genuine joy, not only that, but made me feel empowered, this song is fantastic, i loved it

For some, it may seem crazy to get emotional over a RP within a videogame. But, animation like this with a good storyboard and a great song to back it makes me emotional too. It's about the core message, not the medium it takes.
Thanks for releasing this, CG5. I'm not a big DSMP fan, but I love the overarching story behind it and the experiences those that were in it had during its run.

This is currently my favourite song of yours, and the way that you musically (and visually) explained the whole story of Quackity is outstanding. Not only Quackity's! This could fit for other villians! You used magic to make a beautiful composition that took MONTHS to work. And, the way the animator you hired perfectly represented and introduced this song to us was magnificent! HUUUUGE Shoutout to that person. I am SUPER sorry for me and the other impatient people. I bet we all regret it, because it was extremely worth it. EXTREMELY WORTH IT. You worked hard, made notes... even cried of joy. This is a great thing you are showing us here.

CG5, ive been listening to your music for quite some time and to be honest Lonely King is the most beatiefull song so far ive seen you made when i heard people were leaking the song i rejected to look at the leaks and waited and waited and when it finally came i cryed i cryed so hard with tears of joy of how AMAZING! you did with your buddies it is one of your best songs you made and shows how far you've gone how far you've changed and i think Lonely king is absolutely amazing.

Charlie I am so glad you put so much raw emotion into this song. Quackity is a ticking time bomb of anger, guilt, greed, and everything in between. He looks cool and collected on the outside, but you just know he's ready to explode inside. His emotions are raw, even messy and the fact you honed in on his anger and despair really makes it special. Everything about the music is so organic and full of emotions, just like his lore. In the end, he's an actor, he's a manipulator, and he's power hungry, so to make this Broadway esk swing orchestral ballad lets that fact really shine through. He only cares about his legacy, the path to glory, and he doesn't want you to forget it. You are a mere pawn to Quackity and every interaction should feel like this grandiose big meeting with an absolute and utter villain. The orchestra blaring is like his "turning the chair" moment in his office. Still, he's lonely and hurting. Slime was the only good thing he had left, and it showed. I firmly believe he blames himself for Slimecicle leaving. Las Nevadas is going to crumble because Slime was the only thing holding it together. Without Slime, Quackity has to mask his emotions. He keeps this act up as king, but one day, that act is going to break. He's going to explode, leaving everything in flames. Your song is not only a reflection of the lore that happened, but quite possibly the lore to come. Keep building your legacy, Charlie. I can't wait to see what you do next.

I also thought in the music video that this line can be used both as a brag and as a proposition. "You've been kicked into the sand" is either referring to Wilbur's Fall from Grace or The Side Characters being pushed away from The Main Cast, Fundy, Purpled, Foolish, and Charlie. "I've built something better than what you could ever dream of on your own" could be interpreted as a brag to Wilbur, or as a proposition to The Side Characters, "I've built something better than what you could ever do on your own, join me and you'll be greater than what you are now"

This song is sorta like CG5’s ultimatum. You can hear the anger and impatience in lonely king and in a way Charlie wanted to insert his emotions and impatience into the song and it came out so beautifully. He poured his dark side energy into this song in a masterful and beautiful way.

I felt so happy when this song released like when I watched it, it was only an hour after it was premiered and I was actually at school during lunch at that time and when I say I felt SO happy I really meant it. Honestly gave me a boost of energy just listening and seeing the beautiful animation. You did a absolutely GREAT job Charlie and of course to the other two too, VERY special credits to them for making this happen. 🥰💞

When I first heard your music, I felt incredibly happy and was surprised you didn't have that many subs (my old account I subbed at 2000) and your music made me so happy. I have been listening to your music for about 6 years now. When you made the Got No Time remix, I was so happy for how popular it became. Then fast forward to 1mil subs, I was so happy for you that I cried tears of joy. And when you made Show Yourself, I See a Dreamer, and Gone Away, I was happy that you were getting the attention you deserved. And when you made a song with Tubbo, I was sitting in the car with my parents and started crying for how far you have come. Muffin came around and that blew up as well. When you hit 3mil I felt so proud of all of your hard work, not everyone can make music like you can. When you announced the release of Lonely King, I didn't have to listen to it to know that I would love every single second of it. I'm so proud of you CG5, there is nothing in this world that could make me more happy then your music.

Exactly every single comment in this comment section has single handedly taken the words out of my mouth. But let me just say this. Every single hour, minute, second, that I've waited for this song's music video was worth it. I see so many amazing people that have waited longer then I have for the song to come out and I am amazed by their patience amazed by how much support they give which is a lot (which is how much I wish I could give but I have trouble putting my love and support or just anything for a person into words.) But anyway enough of my rambling and about the song.. I absolutely loved it and think you are extremely talented and are a hard working person which is why I feel so bad for you. So bad that you work the hardest for a good result. But im so thankful that at least you get tons and tons of love in the end. And although the music video didn't make me emotional. You did.
