"The server almost felt like a museum" is such an intelligent way to describe why the server started to loose its momentum. Later on, the server felt far more like a "greatest hits" collection, where characters would do more of the same. The egg banquet really showed this off for me. It was, in large part, a bunch of established characters getting together, and then some other big characters coming in and having a fight. It was a museum of characters doing not very much. This isn't me hating on the server, I love the dream smp, and the story it told. I'm just sad that it didn't last any longer, but glad we got what we did

A lot of people like me have grown up and out of it. Its sad, if I could go back to 2020 I would. But all good things come to an end. The 2010s, best times ever (and 2020 and 2021 honestly) are over. its time for the snowflake generation to take over. Also Dream announced that the SMP wouldn't be planned anymore because Techno was too big in the storyline

the way Tommy talked about Techno, how "it didn't feel real", that's exactly how I felt until he actually left. I did NOT FEEL REAL because Techno was fighting so strong and giving us the best of him from the very beginning to the very end. From the "where I've been" vid, I was like: wtf he got CANCER?????? and then I heard him stream and talk about almost becoming an amputee and all the hilariousness and I was like: huh, he's getting better now! I simply did not realize how sever it already was when he had to learn to walk and how he cannot move his shoulder. He never told anyone it was stage 4. I literally balled my eyes out on Jul 1st and this time as well. RIP Technoblade. You are and will always be remembered.
since he said he had cancer I didn't think even for a second that he wouldn't make it. I was so sure he'd start to feel better and then post a video about how he beat cancer. it didn't feel real and it still doesn't feel real.

I’m late to the party, but I’m bawling my eyes out right now. I may not have been on the entire dream smp journey, but watching the videos have forever changed my life. This was a great era, and I’m happy that I was able to live during this period of time. This is when the quote “don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened” hits the hardest. Tributes to techno as well, techno never dies.

This is an incredible video Tommy. To see you grow with the server and the amount of time, love and commitment you put into it is truely inspiring. Not only did this server make some amazing memories for the creators but it created an incredible community that i am honoured to have been apart of for 2 entire years. “Man, we’re getting old," somehow i went from a sad 14 year old girl stuck inside my house to a 16 year old MCYT living literally what i could have only dreamt of as a kid, and a lot of that is thanks to you and the DreamSMP for always inspiring me and motivating me, even on the toughest of days. I want to say that I have watched tommy since his marbles streams before The DSMP.(if you know you know) Been a 11 month sub on twitch and watched tons of his stuff, he the reason why the pandemic was ok for me in a way, idk I’ve always been the loud annoying obnoxious theater kid, that really made me ig connect to his content, also the fact of me watching him since he had less then 1000 viewers, I feel like I’ve grown with him. Watching the video again nearly 2 years later still gave me the same feelings I felt when I first watched it. It’s weird that I have some how accepted that the dream smp ended over a year ago now, it’s so sad watching some of them fall off, especially the ones we never expected that would fall off.

man the nostalgia watching this hit hard. it feels like only a few weeks since watching his first streams on the dream smp and seeing him refer to them as the beginning really shows just how far tommy has come. i’ll never forget watching his and wilbur’s streams to escape from the stress of covid and online school. i remember looking forward to the election, then november 16th, then the next exile stream, the new l’manburg arc streams, technos bombing of l’manburg, the finale, the prison streams, and all the while anxiously waiting for the next sadist animatic. it’s so crazy how far things have come and i’m so glad i got to be a part of it

It was Tommy’s character that really got me invested in the Dream SMP fandom. I was able to grow closer with my friend and my little brother thanks to all the crazy lore and streams. Tommy in particular inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and try new things- to the point where I traveled to Europe! Thank you so much for all you do king! You are doing amazing things!

This is so wholesome, as a fan who found you on the DreamSMP way back in July 2020, i can't believe how much this community has grown from the early days of the small smp, that grew into a massive server filled of friends, and fans that keep the community together. I couldn't have wished to be alive in any other time, because the time period now is incredible.
This hits different knowing that there will be no season 2. I really miss that excitement and spark from the height of the smp, and I don’t really have any new interests to fill in that gap. All the creators are moving their separate ways, and I sometimes get so nostalgic for having the comfort of those smp streams to look forward to. That being said I’m so glad that it happened, and I look forward to seeing what other project the dsmp members get up to, especially with the announcement of the qsmp!
“we’re all getting older now” absolutely broke me. in january of 2021, a boy in red and with a super loud passionate voice popped up on my watch list. i thought, “oh fuck it, lets see who this guy is.” i watched your videos all day, tommy. then the next day. then the next. then the next. that whole week, every day when i’d get home from school, i’d watch you. i caught up on the lore through EvanMCCGaming, SAD-ist, and old lore streams- and watched all of the rest from there. that day in january genuinely changed my life forever. i was introduced to the best community i’d ever been in. i was introduced to new types of people, voices i had never heard, learning about different parts of my world when ours was closed. i have genuinely learned so much from the dream smp. before the dream smp, i was incredibly antisocial, insecure, and isolated. even though i still am now, it’s gotten better because of the dsmp, making all the difference in my life. you guys wernt just entertainment. you guys are idols. people aspire to be like you one day. you went from having heroes, to *becoming* them. you are *our* heroes. you guys have taught me that it’s okay to be myself and express myself and interests in any way i please. you guys have taught me to stick up for my opinions and for what i think is right, and that those opinions are valid. you guys have taught me that *I* am valid for who *I* am. not for what others want me to be. you guys have taught me how to have fun, embrace the experience while it’s there. and wether you realize it or not, yes- *you guys* did that. for me, and for *m i l l i o n s* of others. *millions.* just embrace that for a minute. these little things are life lessons i will carry out with me forever, they have already helped me in so many ways i couldn’t have ever imagined. and they will help me with so many more. but most importantly, i’ll *never* forget who gave me the confidence to make those decisions, the people who inspired those motivators, the person who introduced me to the people who have changed my life forever, him himself being one. tommyinnit. wether i ever loose interest in the dsmp or not, it will always hold a special place in mine, and all of our hearts. thank you all so much for being you, and inspiring millions of others yo come out of their shells, and to live their best lives by just being who they are. we will always love you guys. always keep fighting. so long big man❤️

I started watching the dsmp in perhaps the worst time in my life. I was stuck alone in an apartment, hours away from all my friends and family, doing online school. However, I had a two hour break between classes that perfectly aligned with your streams, and those two hours were my favorite part of my days. Even though I was alone, I felt like I had somewhere there with me. I'm much better now and sadly am busy during your steam times, but I wanted to say thank you for everything you've done
Aw I completely relate to this, every day after virtual school (11th gd for me so it was extra difficult://) he’d be streaming & I’d tune in & just laugh with him & enjoy hearing another persons voice & feel the worries of the world disappear if only for an hour or so. Those are some really good memories I have from quarantine at least.

20:00 gave me legit chills... It shows how much Tommy cared about Technoblade when listening to the discs. The discs were the spark to Tommy's Dream SMP success and were with him from the beginning. Technoblade's last message was within the discs all along, helping push Tommy to inevitably become who he is today.
Tommy's desperation to look for any kind of secret note that was left was so saddeningly relatable. It's the part of the video that made me cry. Even just as a spectator, everything about the MCYT community and the recent events feel all too surreal.
I started watching TommyInnit during Covid. I remember when he first played on the Dream Smp and killed George to the final days of Dream in the prison. I was never rich enough to donate or sub or anything but I’m glad the content was there for everyone to view. It made life a little easier in the hard times of lockdown. It felt like I was a part of something huge even though no one ever knew me. I held off on watching this Tribute for long enough cause it feels like I’m letting that all go. "The server almost felt like a museum" is such an intelligent way to describe why the server started to loose its momentum. Later on, the server felt far more like a "greatest hits" collection, where characters would do more of the same.
The egg banquet really showed this off for me. It was, in large part, a bunch of established characters getting together, and then some other big characters coming in and having a fight. It was a museum of characters doing not very much.
This isn't me hating on the server, I love the dream smp, and the story it told. I'm just sad that it didn't last any longer, but glad we got what we did

A lot of people like me have grown up and out of it. Its sad, if I could go back to 2020 I would. But all good things come to an end. The 2010s, best times ever (and 2020 and 2021 honestly) are over. its time for the snowflake generation to take over. Also Dream announced that the SMP wouldn't be planned anymore because Techno was too big in the storyline

I've watched this atleast 10 times, it still gives me goosebumps, ty for giving us this beautiful, and comedic video.
the way Tommy talked about Techno, how "it didn't feel real", that's exactly how I felt until he actually left. I did NOT FEEL REAL because Techno was fighting so strong and giving us the best of him from the very beginning to the very end. From the "where I've been" vid, I was like: wtf he got CANCER?????? and then I heard him stream and talk about almost becoming an amputee and all the hilariousness and I was like: huh, he's getting better now!
I simply did not realize how sever it already was when he had to learn to walk and how he cannot move his shoulder.
He never told anyone it was stage 4. I literally balled my eyes out on Jul 1st and this time as well.

man the nostalgia watching this hit hard. it feels like only a few weeks since watching his first streams on the dream smp and seeing him refer to them as the beginning really shows just how far tommy has come. i’ll never forget watching his and wilbur’s streams to escape from the stress of covid and online school. i remember looking forward to the election, then november 16th, then the next exile stream, the new l’manburg arc streams, technos bombing of l’manburg, the finale, the prison streams, and all the while anxiously waiting for the next sadist animatic. it’s so crazy how far things have come and i’m so glad i got to be a part of it

It was Tommy’s character that really got me invested in the Dream SMP fandom. I was able to grow closer with my friend and my little brother thanks to all the crazy lore and streams. Tommy in particular inspired me to step out of my comfort zone and try new things- to the point where I traveled to Europe! Thank you so much for all you do king! You are doing amazing things!

This is so wholesome, as a fan who found you on the DreamSMP way back in July 2020, i can't believe how much this community has grown from the early days of the small smp, that grew into a massive server filled of friends, and fans that keep the community together. I couldn't have wished to be alive in any other time, because the time period now is incredible.
This hits different knowing that there will be no season 2. I really miss that excitement and spark from the height of the smp, and I don’t really have any new interests to fill in that gap. All the creators are moving their separate ways, and I sometimes get so nostalgic for having the comfort of those smp streams to look forward to. That being said I’m so glad that it happened, and I look forward to seeing what other project the dsmp members get up to, especially with the announcement of the qsmp!
“we’re all getting older now” absolutely broke me. in january of 2021, a boy in red and with a super loud passionate voice popped up on my watch list. i thought, “oh fuck it, lets see who this guy is.” i watched your videos all day, tommy. then the next day. then the next. then the next. that whole week, every day when i’d get home from school, i’d watch you. i caught up on the lore through EvanMCCGaming, SAD-ist, and old lore streams- and watched all of the rest from there. that day in january genuinely changed my life forever. i was introduced to the best community i’d ever been in. i was introduced to new types of people, voices i had never heard, learning about different parts of my world when ours was closed. i have genuinely learned so much from the dream smp. before the dream smp, i was incredibly antisocial, insecure, and isolated. even though i still am now, it’s gotten better because of the dsmp, making all the difference in my life. you guys wernt just entertainment. you guys are idols. people aspire to be like you one day. you went from having heroes, to *becoming* them. you are *our* heroes. you guys have taught me that it’s okay to be myself and express myself and interests in any way i please. you guys have taught me to stick up for my opinions and for what i think is right, and that those opinions are valid. you guys have taught me that *I* am valid for who *I* am. not for what others want me to be. you guys have taught me how to have fun, embrace the experience while it’s there. and wether you realize it or not, yes- *you guys* did that. for me, and for *m i l l i o n s* of others. *millions.* just embrace that for a minute.
these little things are life lessons i will carry out with me forever, they have already helped me in so many ways i couldn’t have ever imagined. and they will help me with so many more. but most importantly, i’ll *never* forget who gave me the confidence to make those decisions, the people who inspired those motivators, the person who introduced me to the people who have changed my life forever, him himself being one. tommyinnit. wether i ever loose interest in the dsmp or not, it will always hold a special place in mine, and all of our hearts. thank you all so much for being you, and inspiring millions of others yo come out of their shells, and to live their best lives by just being who they are. we will always love you guys. always keep fighting. so long big man❤️

I started watching the dsmp in perhaps the worst time in my life. I was stuck alone in an apartment, hours away from all my friends and family, doing online school. Aw I completely relate to this, every day after virtual school (11th gd for me so it was extra difficult://) he’d be streaming & I’d tune in & just laugh with him & enjoy hearing another persons voice & feel the worries of the world disappear if only for an hour or so. Those are some really good memories I have from quarantine at least.

Today i will tell you how i am much better than TomyInnit. When TomyInnit was busy making low quality videos, i have saved America, how? That's a really long story.
So i got contacted by anonymous sources that America's future lies in my hands, they told me to go to a bench in a park and there will be a package to me.
I got a package and opened it in home it was a sniper rifle and instructions read: This sniper rifle is loaded with sleeping darts your target will be moving today in 1 hour,
there was an X on the map where i was supposed to be. I got into apartment with open window, i saw a parade and a man with his wife in cadillac moving down the road, that was my target.I thought he really must be an important and probably very evil guy so i didn't hesitate and but i forgot sniper rifle back in my house so i got back to home, really unprofessional of me, i guess that guy must have been very lucky man cause i never forget things.
Technoblade made everything and everyone around him so so so much better, and its so sad to see him go, but i know he's in a better place now. Rest in peace, Blood God. You will be missed

20:00 gave me legit chills... It shows how much Tommy cared about Technoblade when listening to the discs. The discs were the spark to Tommy's Dream SMP success and were with him from the beginning. Technoblade's last message was within the discs all along, helping push Tommy to inevitably become who he is today.
Tommy's desperation to look for any kind of secret note that was left was so saddeningly relatable. It's the part of the video that made me cry. Even just as a spectator, everything about the MCYT community and the recent events feel all too surreal.
I started watching TommyInnit during Covid. I remember when he first played on the Dream Smp and killed George to the final days of Dream in the prison. I was never rich enough to donate or sub or anything but I’m glad the content was there for everyone to view. It made life a little easier in the hard times of lockdown. It felt like I was a part of something huge even though no one ever knew me. I held off on watching this Tribute for long enough cause it feels like I’m letting that all go. Thank you TommyInnit and thank you to everyone on the Dream Smp for making that part of my life bearable. -DinoDudu
19:20, Technoblade was the entire reason me and my best friends are so close together. When we were together at school during break and Technoblade would start streaming we would all sit around one of my friends laptop to watch. Or when we were at home we would message each other through discord all the crazy stuff that was happening. He was my idol for 6 years, and still remains my idol. Rest in peace king.
