A patient's ear canal was injured by a Qtip used for ear cleaning. We remove the cerumen (earwax) for the patient and check his ear canal abrasion.

This kind of worries me. I have a really bad habit, maybe even an addiction to picking at the inside of my ears. I rarely use q-tips, what I use is this metal Rod that has a little scoop. I’ve used it for at least 2 years on a regular basis and I’ve gone to the doctor a couple times to 1. Check if my ears are okay, and 2, find a way to heal then

@@auburnmedicalgroup If i could afford one I’d get one. Right now i have some random endoscope that works fine just for looking inside and you actually reminded me about it so i checked and while my right ear looks okay, my left ear looks like it has a lot of dry wax as well as old wounds (i guess) but nothing looks too bad. I am going to see if I can go to the doctor soon to get my ears checked out again and see if maybe the earwax can be extracted because I am pretty sure I may have a body picking disorder and knowing something is in there kind of drives me insane.

@@auburnmedicalgroup what about if u stick things in yr nose is it the same like I sick qtips in my nose and ears sometimes I use pins but mostly qtips and I sometimes put peroxide in them to not often but I do agree with cat dog or both I have a habit of picking at my body
