I dig the Eklipse style but I wish they made an bigger version. Bro I am trying to get time to send the 24’s your way to check out. Promise I will

I just got myself a full titanium Eklipse. Initially I had it on the phosphor bronze washers but I agree, the detent is not well-tuned. It's too soft/loose and it will absolutely fail deployment if you don't flick it or point the blade down when using the flipper.
Meanwhile my ZT 0392 has a much better tuned detent which offers just the right amount of resistance. The XM-18 non-flipper I had (which I traded to get the Eklipse) also had an excellent detent, which was perfect even on PB washers.
You could loosen the pivot to put less resistance, but I didn't want it to rattle around. I had to swap the Eklipse's PB washers out to the bearings to get a reasonably good and snappy action on deployment, but now it's unnervingly drop-shutty.
Overall I still think the Eklipse is better aesthetically and ergonomically but the XM-18s have had better detents (assuming both are on tri-way).

I love my hinderer knives and just ordered an eklipse with s45vn harpoon tanto. Good on Rick for not raising their prices like Benchmade and spyderco has....rhk will last forever!

Hinderer drops are wildly random. I grabbed a Jurassic in magnacut last week.I couldn’t believe I saw it and grabbed it immediately

Congrats on getting this one. This is a grail for me, but I would rather get the 24. It's great to be at the right place at the right time!

Hinderer’s knives do not have any torx screws. The ones you referred to T6 are a actually allen screws and it should be a 1/16 allen screw, but a torx will fit. You can get by with using torxs bits in allen head screws, but I wouldn’t recommend it. The 3.5 inch XM18 has 5/64 allen screws for the scales and the 3 inch has the 1/16 allens. The new Hinderer Project X is awesome because you can break down the whole knife with the tool provided. So far I like the Project X knife a lot, it would have been just about perfect it had thumb studs or a fuller for a second deployment. I still haven’t tried an Eklipse yet, but it’s definitely one I want to try out. Also the Fire Tac is one I’ve been really want to try too…

Are you sure you’re not confusing them with Emerson with the whole “easy to take down in the field” stuff? I doubt Rick would be slimey enough to claim that and put a weird sized spanner bit needed for the pivot.

The only 2 reason I haven't bought a Hinderer... 60rc and below 20cv. And burned edges, lowering rc at the edge. I get they want more toughness, but then use a different steel and price adjust accordingly.
Thick behind the edge is the 2nd reason.
Thicker behind the edge and tough steels have their place, but if your going to use 20cv, do it right. Dont use the wrong steel for the job and do it wrong.
Else use something else like magnacut. And another thing is they would probably use sub 62rc but should use 63-64rc and use a slightly longer soak time like Carrothers does.
Its nice they are using 3v. Though I would like to see low temperature temper 3v aka delta 3v.
It be nice to see cruware too and heat treated like Spyderco does.

If they did what you listed I'd own my first hinderer, unfortunately this won't happen.

Could you please stop the rapid action handling of the knife... appears to be ODC.

Not a 100% sure what that means but I guess I can slow my movements down some.

@@nicholasedwardbehindtheedg2343 :- No disrespect, that was a very informative video on a knife that l've been looking to purchase, but the fast and repeated hand movements almost made me dizzy.
